Just found this. If you ask me what my favorite game on the SNES was, it's this one. It's also the only SNES title that was translated into Dutch. Countless hours. Countless hours. The composers are legendary. The game is legendary.

Man, if Yasunori Shiono worked for Squaresoft back in the day he would be just as much a legend as Uematsu

Oh...I can't find the track "Island in the Void", there's the one from the first game, but not the one from the second game (same for the labyrinth theme), but maybe the project is not to do the full soundtrack, this is already a incredible task to cover all these tracks! 👏

This game was amazing. But the soundtrack was God tier. I don't think any games have topped the battle themes created for this gem.

I was born after all releases of this game, but it's helping me on one of my language learning journeys. Playing Lufia 2 in Dutch is quite the *gezellig* experience: - there's few games in general with Dutch, and most of them are licensed kusoge - the world is easy to get sucked into, and as a college kid this is as close as I can get to actually visiting Suriname, the Netherlands, or Belgium - the music is excellent, and you've remixed well - my emulator puts a CRT filter that makes the pixellated shading smooth Groetjes uit de Verenigde Staten

I played this game from the age of 8 and really got caught into the emotional flow of the story. So naturally I get all the feels when listening to this wonderfully remastered soundtrack. Especially the ending pulls my heartstrings. Thank you so much for transporting me back to my 8 year old self! 😊

I don't like this, I absolutely love it! So many happy hours with Wing Commander. WC1 was the reason why I bought my first PC and upgraded the sound card. Then WC2 and extra mission packs for both games, then Privateer, then WC3, and finally WC4 and Privateer 2. Unfortunately, with constant Windows updates and computer upgrades, all games became unplayable in the end. I would love to play a remake/tribute variant of WC1 + WC2 on my modern PC, if they ever become available. This was the pinacle of PC gaming.

This is not "remastered" - this is "remessedup", because to ruin this music by messing up only once - would be humanly impossible. Multiple passes of messing it up - were required to make the sound we hear here. How do i know? Why, i'm a prowd owner of the original Warcraft 2 CD, most of which is occupied by the music of the game. Much of which is absent in this here video, and what remains - is some horrible over-processed kinda-midi'ish sound made by some master messinguppers...

Man I have such nostalgia for this gem. Should give another spin some time.

Wintry Cave and Falls Basin are mislabeled im no music editor, never seen the inside of a sound / midi editing software, but what i dont like in 95% of any remasters of old "chiptunes" is the loss of distinct notes and thus a feeling of drawn out sounds, plus certain "layers" in tracks become barely audible (42:00 compared to ur old rendition), whereas others fortunately appear which i never noticed before ("glockenspiel" at 44:57). Lava Dome's guitar e.g. seems way too much in the foreground. I still love the choir u added to Doom Castle and now Battle 3

These remasters sound really good. Faithful to the original, but with a bit more kick and clarity. Satisfying to listen to.
