Contra III was an absolute masterclass in tone and theme. It’s like they took Rambo, the Terminator, Aliens and just a dash of Mad Max and rolled it all into a ball of a game. The soundtrack makes you feel like you’re playing a movie.

God, I fucking loved stage 3 of this game. I wasn't a big fan of the top down stages, so when stage 3 started I would be pretty pumped. Not only is it a nicely designed stage with lots of vertical sections, but it looks awesome, has amazing music, some of the best bosses AND you get the flamethrower near the start.

Man, this game was so awesome from the point of view of a little lad at the time, I love how the enemies, even the themes, were a smattering of all the horror and action movie enemies of the 1980's and 90's. You've got the predator, aliens, terminators, dinosaurs, the mothmen from the G.I. Manliest intro ever.
This game despite difficulty is the best snes game to own, the usage of sprite scaling, mode 7 and other impressive stuff that are tough to pull off with expertise graphics design makes this game DESTROY the hardware limitations of the snes. Genesis may got contra hard corps but it doesn't scratch the right spot like contra 3 does.
The Ground Zero gives me goosebumps - man, that’s childhood memories right there ❤️🥲
I have a cool orchestral remake of Contra 3's "Cease Fire" (credits) on my channel. I think you'll enjoy it. Come check it out.
15:50 is perfect for fighting a out-of-control giant alien beast rampaging around.
Fits best with the stage 3 boss. That giant skeleton thing behind the wall/door.
This game had some awesome music and I loved the hell out of it. I love contra and have every game in the series I can get my hands on. This game have the best music in the series which is amazing considering all the games had good music.

Cease Fire is just epic fire. Love that theme.
the final gauntlet II, damn that was music for combat.
My favorite SNES game! I played this over and over, expert level.....and i always liked to play with my son(now adult),two players mode.He always choose Blond hair Marine and me dark hair Marine
Excelent sound definition for a 1993 game
i love this game!! best contra ever ...this and super probotector, both are awesome games even they´re same
Jugue este juego desde muy pequeño con mi papa en una NES; hasta el día de hoy lo sigo jugando con emulador. Tremendo juegazo.
These emulators make everything so pixely, playing it back in the day on a tubetv you didn't see any pixels and it looked much better.
Not only is this game hard as hell, but to a kid, it could get downright creepy! I remember thinking that even at the age of 14.
This game was top-shelf all the way, and this soundtrack is no exception. Konami was killing it back then. I particularly loved the 'Not over the top at all' stage of riding missiles to attack an alien battleship. 🤣
It's a epic great science fiction age of 80's~90's.
Got chills at the end man! :D Incredible ost! So many memories of when I was a wee lad! Wish I had the system and game.
+Joseph Easley You can still emulate it easily with ZSNES?
What is ZSNES? I've heard about emulating, but don't know anything about it.
*****
ZSNES is a small program that lets you emulate SNES games on your PC. The program itself is a free download (google it) and it works perfectly.
Sounds awesome! Thanks a lot! :)
***** No worries, it'd be a shame if you couldn't play the games you loved because no one told you about something as simple as ZSNES :)
simplemente el mejor soundtrack de todos los juegos de Snes te transporta a un nivel muy alto en emoción al jugarlo, el stage final me recuerda a Predator. (Soundtrack). Solo con escucharla musica me alucina.
Escucha corridors of time o The Palace of zeul de chronno trigger...😊👌🏻
This gotta be one of the best, if not THE best OST for an action game ever!
I have a cool orchestral remake of Contra 3's "Cease Fire" (credits) on my channel. I think you'll enjoy it. Come check it out.
uno de los mejores juegos que juge ,con las mejores musicas
This soundtrack still makes me attack the like button aggressively.
The bests soundtracks of the world.
I have a cool orchestral version of Contra 3's "credits" theme on my channel. Come check it out. I think you'll enjoy it.
Track 9 reminds us that if this were a REAL alien invasion, there's no continues.
Here in 2019... This game along with Super Double Dragon was my childhood. Such wicked games to grow up on! Thanks dad!! Haha
Ground Zero, el soundtrack adecuado para embaracarlo a uno en este juego, simplemente es fenomenal.
Es extraordinario está música
