THE MANHATTAN TRANSFER -- Ray's Rockhouse (1986)

"Ray's Rockhouse", de Los MANHATTAN TRANSFER, video del concierto que dieron en el Nakano Sun Plaza Hall de Tokyo, durante los días 20 y 21 de febrero de 1986 "Vocalese Live 1986" y lanzado al año siguiente (1987). Este fue el segundo álbum grabado en directo y el primero grabado en vivo con Cherly Bentyne en el grupo. En 1985 los Manahattah, habían grabado el LP con el nombre simplemente de "Vocalese", que sería el octavo álbum de estudio del grupo. Este larga duración, fue el más aclamado, por el que recibieron 12 nominaciones al Grammy. El álbum llegó al nº 2 de las listas de los mejores discos de jazz, y al nº 74 en la lista Billboard 200. La canción es con la que finalizan Los Manhattan Transfer el concierto, "Ray's Rockhouse".

JUst saw their last tour in Pittsburgh inMarch . Simply always fantastic. Saw them 35 years ago and in 2023 Saw art least 12 shiws Never disappointed. So glad ai went rothe ;ast showhere.

I saw their 25th anniversary tour at the King Center in Melbourne, Florida. Absolutely amazing! When you see them live, you realize that they don't need production tricks, they're as good or better than the studio tracks.

I think I've seen them in performance at least eight times over the years. I have met all of them, and had lunch with Janis and her very young son Gabrielle. Fun people. The talent is remarkable!
