A few people have complained, in a good natured way, about how difficult it is to work with Ricky. Ben Stiller said that every four seconds Ricky cracks up, making it almost impossible to get anything done.
He said at first he thought Ricky would be laughing at something he said but Ben soon realised that Rick was either laughing at something Ricky himself said or that Ricky would be laughing at something he was thinking of. I dont care how hard it is for some to work with Ricky, he has an awesome laugh
First time I saw the finnished scene I was pissing myself, but these bloopers make me cry every time. Patrick corpsing@1.58 is one of my favourite moments.
Never seen the out takes... I swear, I don't think I'd ever get through the damn scene either way... gotta be one of the funniest moments in TV history. And, yes, The Office was spectacular... but it was so for getting under peoples' skin just so, just so much, sometimes you'd come away feeling rather blissfully withered. Extras was exceptionally well written and really could reach out and clasp the silly heart of its audience without always making things remarkable, yes, and so much more so remarkably witty, yes, of course yes--but in a way that was not an ongoing ritualistic torture display of mankind's mediocrity and what lay below it. Extras made mediocrity into an artistic array of witty repartee... and was like getting the woozies without the booze.
They never used more than maybe 3 or 4 seconds of the film from over Patrick's Shoulder with Ricky in frame (i.e. the camera angle he kept corpsing on), and they had to use bits for the most part where Patrick wasn't speaking or wasn't talking about clothes falling off.
The perfect end would have been if Patrick leapt up off the chair, crossed his legs over and said "all her clothes fall off, but it's all done in the best possible taste."
Morden101 Nope seems real to me. If you look at pats face he triggers most of it and begins laughing before him. Second its fucking captain Picard talking about blasting girls clothes off with his mind. You wouldnt fair any better.
Watching this for probably the 50th time.. ive seen this scene so many times over the years and it's never not funny... absolutely genius comedy and the kind of delivery you'd expect from a classically trained artist from the Royal Shakespeare Company... 😂
I think watching Ricky Gervais corpse might be funnier than the show itself... I don't blame him though, I don't think I could hold a straight face with Patrick Stewart saying these things to me.
"And Posh Spice walks in and..."
"Her clothes fall off?"
"Instantly"
This is funnier than the actual episode. I love his laugh!!!
I like it when the final scene is included after the bloopers thanks
Patrick Stewart can see everything.
This is one of the best vids on youtube and trust me, I've seen everything.
Just the line by Patrick has me in stitches " good lord " omg so so funny
I hope copywrite doesnt get this video taken down, wouldn’t matter though because I’ve already seen it everything, I’ve seen it all.
Ricky Gervais has definitely got the most contagious laugh in the universe.

"but before she can get her knickers on....."
Extra's has the best outtakes i've ever seen, i couldn't stop laughing.
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the greatest person who has ever lived......Sir Patrick Stewart!
And then he did Picard.
They had to edit that scene with a Cuisinart to get around Gervais laughing his head off.
First time I saw the finnished scene I was pissing myself, but these bloopers make me cry every time.
Patrick corpsing@1.58 is one of my favourite moments.
'...on the grass' gets me every time
That’s the bit that gets me too😂
Lol it's like something a 12 yr old boy would come up. 😁
"Oh... it's a comedy then, is it?"
"...no."

Patrick Steward is genuinely hilarious.. that scene is so funny.
...on the grass
Patrick is such a Pro!
That eyebrow raise… 🤣
He has no self control! He doesn't even try to hold it back lol he just bursts out laughing

“Cause they’ve been in the camp for so long”
😂 😂
1:00 patrick losing it 😂
Extras was a great show, and this was a brilliant clip! Patrick Stewart talking about knickers is the bomb!!
I laugh everytime Patrick Stewart says the word Knickers!!
It's that naughty schoolboy word, 'knicker's that gets Gervais.
As a grown man, I still find the word funny.
i like that the helicopter has a rearview mirror
I'm not married, I haven't got a girlfriend, I live alone, and all I do is watch star trek.
"It's a comedy, then."
"No."
"And I ride off on my bike : on the grass''
I will 'make it so' :D
Discovered this when I first got into Star Trek 12 years ago. Just as funny every time I watch it.
I've seen everything.
"I see. It's a comedy is it?"
"No"
Extras is pure class
I think Extras is way better than the Office, cant understand how it hasn't won more awards than it has.
My favorite scene of the series.
He should get Scott Baio in on that project.
Proud star trek fan since 91.
I will make it so.
The only real question is who is coolest out of Patrick Stewart and Peter Dinklage.
This is genius.
If I'm a bit down, this stuff is incredible. HAHAHA on the grass!!
On the grass...

How is anyone expected to function within this scene…?
look at the views and votes!!u should definitely make more videos in summer!!
Ricky Gervais was offered the part of Scotty in Star Trek..
At 0.35 Patricks knows he's got him...just toying with him!
Gervais sounds like a Bristol wench at 1:44
XD Is this mostly improvised?

This is now on my "I can die happy" list!
Great stuff!!! He was checking out the naked hostages in the helicopters review mirror! LMAO
+OnlyFloyd They've turned lesbian.
i like the part where he saw everything.
Certifiably brilliant 😂
Patrick Stewart is a god.
Pat's the man
omfg this is gold!!
good lord
hilarious!!
AHHAHAHAHAHAHAH
"I don't know what to do! Other than leave the scene and let you talk to a teddy ber"
OMG! Nearly choked on my cereal :D
Hilarious! I love Ricky's laugh.
Watching this for probably the 50th time.. ive seen this scene so many times over the years and it's never not funny... absolutely genius comedy and the kind of delivery you'd expect from a classically trained artist from the Royal Shakespeare Company... 😂
LOL! Two of my favourite celebrities in the world. Awesome.
I think watching Ricky Gervais corpse might be funnier than the show itself... I don't blame him though, I don't think I could hold a straight face with Patrick Stewart saying these things to me.
On the grass😂 wtf
Fuck, Gervais has the most infectious laughter
