My favourite out-takes from 'Extras'.
Watch Part II to this video here; • Extras {Best Out-takes...
Thank you for all the comments and such! :)
I usually watch this once every couple weeks to increase my serotonin level.
Same haha
They're all naked
Nailed it
Thats exactly the reason why i do!🤣
😁
Alright mate, just check this out.
Smifficus it is actually funny
Just a simple calculator. If I type in 58008 and turn it upside down then, amazingly, says BOOBS.
Low and behold.... boobs.
"Have a little sip of tea and drink it!"
"But I've 'ad about three cups now!"
"I was dressed up as a fucking genie for a day!"
I can't tell you how many times I've watched this with tears in my eyes...if you're having a bad day it's the best mood changer in creation.
The plethora of Gervais bloopers will cure any dark day. That f ing joker laugh lol
There is no distinction between Stephen Merchant and Darren Lamb at all.
Joshua Lowe 58008
Joshua Lowe Yea, they look quite similar.
“Her clothes fall off?”
“Instantly”
I just want to hang around on the set of one of Ricky's shows for a weekend.
It looks like you'd laugh enough for a lifetime.
An extra on the extras
Steve Merchant is so good in Extras!
And on the muppets
His character and Murray from FOTC would be best mates
@@hotpotat0es Beaker lol
I bet the cast and crew don't get home until 11pm when Gervais is on set.
Gervais was probably always on the set.
jim jimjim Ricky famously doesn't work past 4pm!
Ollie Hilton wasn't it 2 pm?
I wonder how many hours of footage of Ricky corpsing there is in existence
+VideoDeadGaming they had to start measuring it in days, not hours.
More camera time than all TV and movies
@@jshep73 No wonder his shows have few episodes... If they were to make a 22 episode, it would take a year with him
6:03 Merchant quick as lightening:
Maggie: You can choose your friends but you can't choose your family
Steve: Unless you adopt.
Umm, it's a script that he learned in advance?
@@storiesofintrigue1605 I don't believe so. In the final edit it's a montage of Steve and Maggie getting along during dinner before it cuts to them on the couch and Steve trying to cover up the mess he made in the toilet.
I think they ad libbed in the kitchen to provide the B-roll footage for the montage, and is why it caught Maggie off guard when Steve slipped a joke in.
In my opinion :)
@@SkandiaAUS But it doesn't make any sense. If you're adopting you choose your family. If you're adopted, it's another situation where you were unable to choose your family.
Jhonny Appleseed ... at 6:04 Steve says “unless you adopt” in which case you can chose your family, so not only is it funny, it also makes sense.
@@jhonnyappleseed1786 It's "unless you adopt" not "unless your were adopted"
"We're just having a little sing-song!" Okay who couldn't laugh at the way Steven says that? XDDD
thesilversupporter it wasn't the way he said it that made Ricky laugh, Steve has a eye reflex that for some reason his eyes lids open up more than most which makes Ricky laugh
one of the greatest shows made. watch it!
So underrated
Hearing Patrick Stewart say 'knickers' makes life worth living
+Cameron Hooper My life is complete.
We are The brothers and sister extras ain't a movie
dragonball bows it's a documentary.
I headbutted a horse once.
Put the subtitles on that clip, it's even funnier.
he must've really upset you
The genie bit.
Super army soldiers
lol
skin on skin
Stripped to the waist.
joshbusby47 and to the death
hes my favourite character haha
Love ross kemp he is so genuinely down to earth in real life and the guys has got balls have you seen some of his extreme world documentaries?
People did genuinely take the piss out of him at a point but the man put himself in some incredibly sketchy situations
Not even necessarily laughing at their mistakes but Ricky has a contageous laugh
I think the moment Ricky jumped the shark was when he used Fix You by Coldplay UNIRONICALLY in Derek. He's still pretty cool, though. But that series showed that he thought he could pull off emotion without investing in the heart of a show.
Buffoon1980 nailed it Sir. And his movies have been rubbish
newdawnnation And what is your point?
2:43 is honestly a moment of insane genius as Gervais’ voice cracks to the extent his look of absolute shock has me in constant fits of laughter. Watch it on repeat and try not to laugh … EVERY.SINGLE.TIME.
"A lot of people can't get away with horizontal stripes...actually, get me that bra."
Anything with Les is amazing. "We asked 100 people, do you wanna go out tonight and see Les Dennis in panto, our survey said EHH EHHHHH"
I love Ross Kemp's slightly camp reaction to Ricky's laugh in the very first clip
Only saw him fleetingly, but Bunny is just a tremendous character. So so funny👍
I strangely love Coldplay ft Ricky ???
Les Dennis episode is pure genius
I gained a lot of respect for Les and Cheggers for being able to take the piss out of themselves in Extras.
Klate Wilson i never heard of him before Extras and I respect the way he could take the piss out of himself. Very funny
note to self* don't drink while watching this - I just sprayed diet coke out of my nose all over screen when Ricky did the gay genie. My god, sniffle*
ooooooOOOOOOOoOoooOoooOOOOoooohhh
As a camp genie myself .I find this generalisation of my people highly offensive . However if you want to spray something anywhere spray it on me .ooh
I feel like Ricky sometimes corpses because he doesn't like the take. He laughs just so they have to do it over.
Yes, you're probably right. But he's the director so he has the final say on the take anyway.
False. Stop with the dumb conspiracy theories. Do you believe the moon landing was fake too?
@@WhaattUpp False and illogical. Are you a 9/11 truther too? Grow up.
@@kieransoregaard-utt8 the moon landing is real, we just landed on the wrong moon.
I had not considered that b4 but it makes perfect sense in that he achieves his objective of a Re-Take without offending anyone by implying their acting was not up to scratch ir what was required especially as he is flattering the other Actor by saying he/she is funny...
@4.39 and Steve's wierd head boppin got me. Infact this hole scene is funny
I love the SAS conversation because of course it's hilarious, but also it's a great example of how to do exposition efficiently. We never see what his time was like with the SAS, but in one joke, we can pretty much tell what happened. He was a dufus and the SAS...I mean Super Army Soldiers, took the piss out of him non-stop.
lol 2:40 just floors me
0:34 eww I hate when people do that I'm glad Ricky told 'em to bring another cup.
Oh God, his laugh is killing me :D
i love these outtakes! i really wish Ricky and Steve still co-produced. it makes me sad :/
have they argued?
Welsh Wanderer
i'm not too sure to be honest. they just don't seem to do anything together anymore. i think they were a perfect combo and both are not as good without the other
mctim89 correct Sir
I genuinely don't understand any comments like this. How many people have you worked with that you never keep in touch with now. It's a job. That is all it is. No matter how many laughs you had.
@@damienbagshaw9122 That's a sad take. They were clearly very good friends. They weren't just co-workers.
greatest mystery of all, how did they ever get any take right with Ricky laughing so much,
suppose it explains why he worked that long in Xfm
You know you're good when you can make Gervais think your acting is real XD
LMAO "just check this out"
Hahaha, goddddd... the moment when he flips the calculator upside down for the first time is so brilliant.. We used to do that shit in school at like 14 and it's still funny today no matter what age.
Haha. ricky has such a squeaky laugh.
Ricky's cutest laugh... Like a kid 🥰
"dont do the face" "...what face?" haha steve certainly wasnt blessed with looks was he?
It's fun how some of the stories from the XFM/Podcast are actually mentioned here as well!
His laugh automatically makes me smile when I hear it.
I agree. Karl is the most fascinating person on Earth to me. I love getting insight into how hes thinking, and im always god damn amazed how Ricky can sometimes figure out what Karl is trying to say with little to know info. I remember him talking about that "bad wind in America", and from that Ricky somehow knew he meant Hurricane Katrina. On the first guess too. Thats god damn amazing, cause i was so confused as to what a "bad wind in America" could be, i wasnt even thinking a hurricane.
Oh my god I remember actually dying when the agent tried to put that bluetooth headset on. Merchant is amazing in this series
RIP
I know it sure wasn´t funny for most people, but I lost it when Sir Patrick Stewart was telling the story of having the ladies in the helicopter, and then he said "I can sneek a look in the mirror (to look on the ladies in the back)" as that thing would have one. Bahahaaa!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
It's pretty much one of the reasons people find the Ricky Gervais Show / Podcast so brilliant.
5:58 has to be the funniest thing in the world.
You're aware that i'm gay?
Tom Clark no cos you don't make a song and dance about it....no
No... cos you don't... make a song and dance about it, you're not all *'ohhh hellooo I'm a homosexuaaal'*
(Ricky Gervais face)
No- no because ya don’t wear it on ya.... it’s not like yer goin’ round goin’ “oh everyone!~ ooh look can you guess?” Y’don’t..... •\\w\\•
I love Ricky's laugh and the ending!
How these shows ever got finished is beyond me
Was Ricky at his fattest in this period?
no, he continued getting fatter until 2009
Alright mate, just check this out.
Oh everyone~ ooh look can you guess?
i headbutted a horse once ..
An orse....
Am I wrong, or is the Patrick Stewart episode the first time that we publically found out that Patrick Stewart is an adorable goofball?
im wondering why the americans hasn't try to remake this yet
Because it was made by them.
Huh? No it wasn't!
It was produced by BBC and HBO. It aired on both stations.
The "do you realize i'm gay" outtakes are my favorite.
He has the most infectious laugh ever
Ricky Gervais outtake videos could be prescribed as anti depressants, I'm convinced.
That was actually a lovely harmony that Ricky sang with Chris Martin.
I didn't say I was judging him. He doesn't try to be hurtful, he just teases. What I'm saying is: he has a strong personality, he teases people and goofs off constantly. He just has a polarizing personality that some people will like and some won't.
I'm glad he doesn't make a song and dance about it and be like "Ooh, ee, aah, ello everyone, look at meeeeee!"
Patrick Stewart is fucking awesome
best part was "oh sorry are you in character" "yeah" hahahah
05:48 Her acting is so good that even Ricky is fooled.
If I were to win the lottery, I'd back Patrick Stewart snd get those ideas on screen!
3:53 to 4:13 nearly killed me
SING IT WIT' ME, NOW!
that bit with Patrick Stewart was hilarious!
@pvdrocks2 I'm glad you enjoyed them :3 Me too, Extras is really amazing.
i think i laughed most at the "i headbutted a horse once" one.
She says "You can choose your friends but you can't choose your family." and Steve replies "Unless you adopt."
Ricky Gervais bloopers on my day off 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
The best laugh on the face of this planet.
I WAS DRESSED UP AS A FUCKING GENIE FOR A DAAAY!
Don’t we all...?
Smerch is the real brains behind the scenes. No surprise Gervais hasn't been as good without him. Whereas Hello Ladies was great.
KingKurt
Great shows don't get canceled after their first season.
@lennartjuhh I met him when I was a kid. I don't remember it, but my dad said that we were just going shopping one day and we bumped into him as he was coming out of the shop. Apparently, he knelt down to talk to me, so that we were at the same height :-)
ricky's face at 2:45 is absolutely priceless
Add Mitchell and Webb to that and you've pretty much got the comedy Avengers!
1:12 is my all time favourite I don't know why
Just drinking the fucking tea. that was disgusting
Glad to hear this. He does seem like a nice guy to me too.
4:09 reminds me of like a puppet or summat XD
Love how half of the time ricks laughing it's at a funny line he's written😂😂
Oh yes, well, on the last episode of the third series of AIA anyway.
The sudden bonding was touching.
...For anyone who asks though, I just had something in my eye.
I love how Ricky cannot help but laugh at that calculator. It’s one of the oldest, most tired jokes, associated with a calculator. But he laughs like it’s a quality one liner. Hilarious 😂
4:54 kggNOOOOOOO. YOU CAN'T. DO. THA'
"OH GOD HE'S NOT EVEN DOING A FACE!"
"he looked like Beaker off the Muppets" haha.
I love at 4:30 when Les Dennis starts speaking faster 'cos he can see Ricky about to go XD
Psynrg I respond to your comments later suffice to say for the moment they are rude and uncouth
It's a good thing Ricky is in charge of the show, cos he corpses about 3 times as much as anyone else. The upside is he has seriously infectious laughter.
When something is already hilarious and then goes wrong. That’s when the magic happens. 😂
"I was dressed up as a fucking Genie for a day" Priceless!.
At 4:34 Les is sending up Graham Norton!
2:17 isnt that the shot they actually used?
Meh, I used to think so too. They're actually one of my favourite bands now, their lyrics have helped me through some stuff. :)
I was commenting on the 'holmes and watson'.. you know, because sherlock holmes.. no?
