I spend a lot of time in Indonesia- garbage is a problem everywhere- the first time I went to my wife's village everyone was just throwing trash on the ground, the kids at the school were the worst offenders... I was able to speak with the local children at their school about trash disposal.... Well I am happy to report Last year when I went back the local school not only had installed trash collectors out side each classroom but also had recycle too, although Indonesia does not have recycle services... They don't even have trash services all the trash is burned behind the school but at least the school grounds are free from trash. Everyone burns trash in Indonesia it's just what they do. Cheers

They used too burn trash in the backyards of houses in the USA, up to the early 1960's before this custom was ended. Every body used a 55 gallon drum to burn their trash. the ashes and everything remaining in the drum would then be collected by a trash service, on a regular basis. At least this is what I witnessed as a kid growing up in Michigan. It was common to hear of a Garbage Truck on fire due to a burning barrel still having hot coals, back in the day.

Seems 2 me that u folks who live on the currents of the world r always fixing something! AND Ben figures things out like NO one else. Makes things work! Engines, downloading what u need with no connections, propane gas & I know he'll figure something out about what's ever broken now? But he did seem down hearted. Ben you'll get it done & if ur stuck? U have Ashley, a beautiful resourceful real woman. I believe....

It is interesting to travel into different countries and watch their customs officers conduct their duties, most of the time I've found them to be courteous and considerate, rarely have we been asked not to film. Possibly our worst experience was with Australian Border Force, their officers were rude, arrogant, abrasive and condescending If you try and film them they will throw you off your boat and the search will get much rougher, to the point of causing damage, and you pay through the nose for the 'privilige'

I've lived and worked in Indonesia with the Indonesian Government.
I'm an American and represented the country fundraising for projects for
Indonesian Infrastructure as well as served as an Ambassador for Bali Green bringing investment and opportunities to Bali. I worked closely and traveled internationally with the Environment Minister of Bali. Bali is a much different place than the rest of Indonesia when it comes to the environment.
Communities protect the environment. They have those who are born into roles to watch the reefs, rivers, trees, etc.
Indonesia is the BIGGEST Muslim country in the world.
Ramadan is great. If you get a chance, find a great place to have Iftar with locals.
And if you're headed up to the Middle East during Ramadan, even better.
The Four Seasons in Dubai's Iftar is fantastic
and the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi is out of this world.

You shouldn't run a water maker in contaminated waters, it probably sucked some piece of flotsom into the pre-filter or it's feed line.

Just curious, I've watched a few of your videos and have enjoyed everyone of them. I recall in one Ben says your from Canada (me too), but why do you fly a German flag?

Do they inspect under your boat ? Couldn’t you hide stuff there ?
