- In the western world we stock replacement parts while the rest of the world uses donor parts. It’s a completely different mindset. Yes we can fix it. Yes we can build an adapter. Yes we can fill that. They often do not have the cash to replace and if they do, the actual parts are often not available. This breeds a healthy dose of practicality that we greatly admire.

Im Canadian but I spent 9 months on 6 return trips 12 flights to PH last year, im in love with this Country =P 7100 islands, you have found a gem that could take you a lifetime to explore !
Ryan Burdon you are damn right... it will take a lifetime to explore the 7100 Islands ..and even i am a filipino i havent visited most parts and that’s what i have been wishing to see and visit them..once I have the time maybe next year...will start my journey....it will be more fun with a great company...
yeah right,it's my goal to explore the beauty of nature in my own country. .
Ryan Burdon there are 7,641 islands in the Philippines, only 2,000ish are inhabited
It's actually 7,031 islands as of today. Because China took the 69 islands because they are horny

Ashley is such a beautiful and laid back babe!! She enjoys life no matter what she’s doing.
Phillipines is an amazing country!
Fair winds and following seas.
They should have had all their boat repairs done by Filipino mechanics. They specialize in “patching” things up and at moderate price.
Horrible country.
That rubber boat hole can be fixed at any side street in the Philippines at a very cheap cost. Just look for a vulcanizing shop.
Wavemaker so true! We just returned from our trip in the Phils. Growing up there there’s vulcanizing shops at least 2 on each block. Told hubby, that’s something we don’t ever see in the states. Lol.

Thanks for visiting the Philippines. Keep safe on your travels 🇵🇭👍. BTW I saw a case of San Miguel beer in your yacht
The Philippines is like England in the 60's . We used to fix stuff when it broke as well. Now you can't get the bits,
you HAVE to buy new.
love your comment , I say the Philippines reminds me of my childhood in 70s UK when I try to describe life there. happy fearless kids playing outside, neighbours are like extended family. not all the crazy health and safety BS haha. when people say to me PH is 3rd world I say we could all learn a lot from filipino. nothing seems impossible to them they always find a way and maximise the use out of everything haha. I LOVE THE PHILIPPINES AND ITS PEOPLE
Guys, as a chemist, the catalyst should still be active, just the solvent has evaporated. If there is still a semblance of white powder in the bottom of the container, it should still be fine/active. You really only need microscopic amounts. I'd redissolve it in like acetone, or ethanol, or vodka, or MEK, (if you maybe remember what it smelled like you could use the same solvent, like an acetone smell for example). At worst, just ass a bit of the powder/remains to the liquid glue, and it will do its job! You can do a little test sample on a bit of cardboard just to be sure. Good luck!
What a great comment! Ü
MEK. love it.
Thank you guys for visiting The Philippines again & we'll definitely see you again ☺☺ Be Safe & God Bless 👼⛵
I have seen a lot of videos from people that have visited the Philippines and one thing that gets me is the way that most say the Tagalog word for Thank You, they say it wrong.
In this video they are saying "SAL A MAT" and that is incorrect. The correct way is "SA LA MAT". Plus the "A" is pronounced like the "A" in father in Tagalog.
Impressive!
Foreigners usually put the stress on the first syllable like sá-la-mat (just like how you say the words parent, national, possible, etc.). But the correct way of saying it is to put the stress on the second syllable like sa-lá-mat (like how you read important, official, successful, etc.)
Sa la mat....so easy!❤👌👍
SA - LA - MAHT (you have to let go of your accent too)

Your time in the Phillipines freaked me out until I reminded myself the 2 of you are educated and in your mid thirties and most definitely carefully researched what can happen to people who say docked in OZ versus a 3rd world country. Most of the travel shows are land based and your channel is a whole other thing!
Ben continues to put a stitch in my side he has EXCELLENT comedic timing when he speaks to you Ashley!
The vantage point you shared with us would of never been seen on a regular cable program!
When I lived on Oahu the local hawaiian comedian's always cracked on phillipinos. It was always good natured and not mean. Look up comedian Frank Delima if you're up to a giggle.
Thank you again for showing us the ingenuity of these wonderful people!

Get some "Inflatable Boat Sealant" and your dinghy will not have any small leaks. Make sure you turn your dinghy in every direction (and let it sit upside down etc) so it gets / runs everywhere inside of it. It is Stop Leak for dinghys and it works great!

Everything is cheap in the Philippines.. fruits, vegetables, poultry and livestock.. Fish is sometimes free. 😂 but scams and corruption.. You can also find it here. Welcome to the Philippines.
Corruption is everywhere bro, not only in the Philippines... You are not on Earth if there is no corruption...
@@chillridemotovlog6909 OOOOOOoooooOOOOOO bro savage
FYI the Philippines government is trying to clean all the corruption in our country. If you dont believe it look at new building development happening in the Philippines, new constructio, stricter new laws. Its started 3 years ago when President Duterte got elected.I still have faith my country that we can raise from poverty with the new breeds of politicians trying to change the future and make Philippines a better place.Scams in the Philippines is another story😂
@@charmori540 i totally agree
Every nation is scam and corrupt. Although PRRD is trying his best to erase corruption in the Philippines. Yes, Philippine pesos not dollars and beer may be cheap compared to the west but rum is even cheaper!
And it is pretty good.
Absolutely, I love San Miguel, but at 85 piso for 750ml of decent rum it is hard to pass.

Philippine currency is "Peso" so guys it's a 10,000.00 Pesos.
Welcome to the Philippines.
The Philippines currency is Piso, however there is no harm calling it Peso as many make the mistake. 😁
@@flyingdutchman6984
Its actually philippine peso, which derived from hispanic latin currency.
Piso is only used in filipino term. Its not his mistake for calling it peso as both terms are correct. Dont be smart ass.
@@flyingdutchman6984 it's called peso
@@patpatnguyen6740 - Why does every coin and bill in my pocket say Piso?
@@flyingdutchman6984 it its philipino term. Same as we called pilipinas instead of Philippines.
Hi was wondering about what insurance you need for sailing around the world? Thanks
It's called bluewater insurance and it is for offshore sailing. The cost of the insurance is completely dependant on your experience as skipper/crew as well as the regions you will be sailing in. For example, getting bluewater insurance for the Caribbean is much much less than for crossing the Indian ocean. Why? Because a lot less yachts sail across the Indian than up and down the Caribbean island chain. All that said, insurance is ultimately not required. It's a personal choice. For us the boat is everything we own so it makes sense to never lapse on our insurance coverage ! :)
That screwdriver in 3:33 is sometimes used for maintenance, but is mostly used for self defense. You can tell by how the driver keeps it in a place where he can reach it in a second just in case a hold-up occurs.
Cant wait to see you guys your last port b4 crossing to atlantic back to the US...
In Switzerland we have 1000.- notes. One is worth 1022.12
US$

Indonesia has 1000 notes too, you can't even give them away, I think a tissue is more valuable :)
In Switzerland a 1-Person meal costs around $100 at some places xD
And almost enough to buy a coffee. lol
You should have fix your rubber boat in the Philippines.
