The best way to rinse rice, quinoa, and other starchy grains is to polish them. You put the grains in a large bowl, add just enough water to cover them, then you vigorously agitate them, which rubs the grains against each other like a rock tumbler. You then rinse it like normal. It saves water, time, and cleans the grains better.
