What do you do if you accidentally hit him and now he just wants to fight everytime I return to the cell? Is there no way for me to finish his questline now?
A few things that you can do for this quest that can be extremely helpful. 1. If you want to save boggart and get the dung eater armor and puppet, don’t buy any prawns from boggart when you first meet him at the shack. You can buy them after you give dung eater the potion and then he will move and not die to him. 2. If you want to just give dung eater the potion to get his puppet, you only have to get 1 seedbed curse. If you do both of these things and only collect 1 seedbed curse, the potion, and don’t buy from boggart, you can kill dung eater with the potion, get his armor and sword, progress selivus’s questline, save boggart and nepheli loux, and get the dung eater puppet. Just wanted to help anyone out who wants the best possible ending to this. This is also my head cannon.

Fortified Manor actually isn't an alternate version of the Roundtable Hold. The Roundtable Hold is the alternate version or non-physical version of the Fortified Manor that exists outside of the Lands Between, and simultaneously inside the Erdtree. This is why when you go to the Fortified Manor and go to where Master Hewg would be, you find his hammer. He's long gone. The version of him at Roundtable is from the past.

I don't know how you got locked out of Volcano Manor... use the transporter in Raya Lucaria. You can fall down where it drops you off into lava that you will be able to survive. And with this you will have access to all of Volcano manor. There are probably many other way of getting in there. You have to let that rolling thing with the blades open up and grab you. If you "die" from it you will be transported. There is a merchant note that hints at this. It is all the way down the giant elevator.

When heading to the manor. I recommend getting on your mount and taking the wind lift instead of climbing that last ladder. It's easier to avoid the bull boss. Also, before fighting the godskin noble boss, you should turn left and pull the lever to raise the bridge so if you die then you can reach him faster.

Bro I’m using his guide for my second character, tryna get him ready for dlc, my main is level 425 in dlc currently but I wanted to get my second character up to par cause my secondary never really did most of the quest lines so I’m making sure my second guy is getting. All the shit 😂😂

I know this is an old comment but You can still get the one by the gargoyle when Leyndell is ashen, and then 1 volcano manor, 2 haligtree and 1 from blackguard when invaded by dung eater (if done blackguards quest). So it is still doable after beating maliketh

Dung-Eater's armor has an exceptional Vitality stat, but in the video I noticed Dung-Eater was killed by the death-breathing crab in the pool. Obviously his Vitality was not high enough to save him. Just watching this video, it really does seem like giving Dung-Eater the potion from Sellivus is the best option. Otherwise you have to go all over the world collecting Seedbed Curses, only to have Dung-Eater kill off another NPC. That's a lot of work for some f-ugly armor and a bad ending.
This is a wonderful guide and I appreciate you going step by step. I only wish you mentioned in the very beginning of the video that completing his quest and not giving him Seluvis' potion prevents you from being able to summon him as a spirit ash. You didn't really mention the potion until 13:00 and didn't mention how it's tied to his spirit ash at all. That would've been super helpful to know from the outset of this video.

Dude I came here from the ranni quest video, now I guess I'm going to the haligtee video. This game is something else man, I tried grinding for the shard of alexander, turns out you need to burn the erdtree for that, I'm not even done in luirnia yet, now all of a sudden I'm level 111, have most of the map unlocked but I still feel like a beginner.
Helpful tip. the 3rd Seedbed curse... the room can be accessed from the actual Manor by patches but there will not be a seedbed curse. You have to actually use the stonesword key entrance to make it appear
Yo I have a question, if I beat the boss without having the armor he mentioned and didn’t do the quest line for patches, would I still be able to continue on the dungeater questline or would it be unavailable?
@@Heizeyeah need a little more detail. What Boss? Since no boss drops any seedbed curses this shouldn't be a problem. Patches quest is not tied to dungeater quests at all.

I’m in that exact area, and he says don’t fight the boss unless you did patches questline and get his armor, idk what he meant so I stopped playing as I didn’t want to ruin my questline and have to restart.
@@Heizeyeah he meant not to beat Rykard at Volcano Manor until all quests in the area are satisfied. Still, the only thing related to dung eater is the seedbed curse collectable. Beating Rykard won't remove the curse from the area.

I fast travelled back to the side of Grace after giving him the potion , because you said reload the area … I came back and he’s not there and no armour..
Off topic, but thank you SO much for using the ghostflame torch, it’s so bright you can see everything including all the nearby enemies which is so helpful ❤ (so many other guides are just running in the dark 😭)
Some things worth noting; - There are 6 total seedbed curses, you only need 5 in total. - At 12:20 if you have bought prawns from Boggart to move him to the moat you need to exhaust the dialogue with Boggart until he says "dungeater is lurkin' around 'ere" then fast travel out and back to the area for dungeater to invade otherwise nothing will happen. - You dont need to port out after getting the curse rune to get the armour, just save the game back to the menu then load back in. - After killing Radabeast, you still interact with the corpse but you need to choose "Use mending rune of the fell curse"
If you give Dung Eater Selivus' potion, you can kill him after he gets knocked out and get his armor. Then you can still get him as a puppet. I accidentally killed him after the potion and it allowed me to get both armor and the puppet.
If anyone burned the tree after the fire giant and are stuck at 4/5. If by chance you've bought boiled prawn from Blackgaurd and found him just outside the capital. He'll give you the last seedbed curse at the end of his questline.
I gave him the potion in one of my playthroughs because I wanted him as a summonable. But then I made a huge mistake and accidentally hit him which messed everything up. Hours wasted.
A small tidbit, I know this is an old video, but be sure to raise the bridge via the large "lever" located left at the top of the stairs before entering the doors to the Temple of Egli @ 00:06:19 , this will allow you to use the "Prison Town Church" Site of Grace to respawn at if you are defeated by the Godskin Noble.
Alright follow up, it doesn’t matter how many you have in your inventory. You’ll just give him all of them regardless on how many you have. You probably only need 5 to unalive dungeater

So I made Blackguard Big Boggart come to the moat AFTER defeating Dung Eater there, and now I can't get that seedbed curse. He's still alive tho, maybe thats a plus
Just quickly putting this here in case anyone wants to get the Dung Eater Puppet to run through DLC with (like me lol). You'll only need 1 seedbed curse which allows you to get the Sewer Gaol Key, and speak to Seluvis and follow his questline before giving Ranni the Fingerslayer Blade. Administer the potion to Dung Eater after killing him in the Outer Moat (i believe its after not before). Then you can buy his summon from Seluvis for 5 starlight shards I also think its faster to get to the Dectus Lift via the Academy. Get the key to enter, enter the south gate to the grace before the lift, then take the other teleporter, which puts you next to a Grace, and its a straight shot forwards to get to the Lift
After about 2 years and the new DLC that just came out I finally am attempting to do this questline and I want to thank you for this video, been following it to a T. EDIT: Just completed it, Thanks again.
6:28, you can also just take the exit Northwest of the Church Site, where there is an elevator which takes you to the place right behind the virgin maiden, saves you at least 1minute x)
For volcano manor to get teleported there as soon as you reach altus just buy ryas necklace off bogart, give it back and when you first use the lift to get to altus shes just standing off to the side and if you talk to her she TPs you to volcano manor.
if you are going to give him the potion you only need to acquire 1 so he gives you the gaol key , you will need also to get invadade by him at the moat (meaning you need to progress the blackguard boggart's quest) , after that you talk to him at the table and he will be tied to the chair at the gaol , at this point you have the option to give give him the seedbed curses or give him seluvis potion
I used 5 seeds but dung eater just sits in the chair in his cell repeating “curse you golden order one day you’ll get what’s coming” :( what am I doing wrong?
It is possible to give Seluvis's Potion and get the Omen Armor Set. This way you can get both the Dung Eater Puppet and the Omen Armor (although I don't think doing this will reward the Mending Rune of the Fell Curse). Progress Seluvis's quest enough to get the potion, and progress Dung Eater's quest enough to where he is tied up in the chair in the sewer (you only need 1 total seedbed curse to get this far). The final, important sequence: First, when speaking to the tied up Dung Eater in the sewer (his last stage before completing his quest) give him Seluvis's Potion. Second, do not leave or reload the area but wait about 10 seconds or so. Third, kill dung eater (literally, like kill him with any weapon), then his now doubly dead body will drop the armor set so make sure to pick it up before leaving. Then you can return to Seluvis and continue his quest, informing him that you gave the potion, and then you should be able to purchase the Dung Eater puppet. I think the only difference towards Seluvis's stuff is that Dung Eater's physical dead body can't be found in the puppet room like it normally would if you did everything normally.
I just kinda found this odd, but you don’t need to collect all five from the locations. The reason is because if you do Boggarts quest alongside dung eater and speak to him after he gets mutilated Boggarts corps will not only give you his stuff but also a seedbed. Thought that might be kinda cool
it is, unfortunately you still need to get at least 1 seedbed curse from the haligtree. And if you can get one, it will take literally 30 seconds to get the other lol
It definitely sucks cause im in New game+ and I managed to accidentally kill patches yet again for the love of god which means I'll have to beat the main storyline yet again to get the bull goat armor rip.

If u want the sword of milos just attack his physical form he'll swap to it and start fighting you. He does good damage and will drop his armor set and the sword. Pretty cool sword worth it imo if u just dont like dung eater like me.
My guess is that if dung eater is still in the sewers and you can get to him with 5 seedbed curses then you’re fine. There’s one seedbed curse in the ashen capital that I don’t show in the video
IMPORTANT!! I don't know if i missed him saying this or if it wasn't mentioned, but if you are going to turn dung eater into a puppet, make sure not to give ranni the fingerslayer blade until after you finish this and Seluvis' quests! I just found out the hard way that if Seluvis is dead, you can not give dung eater the potion.

Actually 2 out of 6 seedbed are missable, so if you didn’t get 5 seedbeds before completing the game you’ll need to start another run to complete the quest
I followed you video a bit too blindly and when you said watch for the spider hand on the ceiling I went through the room watching up only to get the biggest jumpscare of my life xD
You can give dung eater selevus potion in his cell and then after kill him BEFORE YOU LEAVE. His armor will drop, and you will still be able to get the dung eater summon from Selevus. If you do this, you won't be able to get the mending rune of the fell curse, and if you leave the sewers after giving selevus potion, dung eater will disappear, and you won't be able to get the armor either.
I loved this quest, it was a hard choice for me to take the Mending Rune of the Fell Curse or turning him into a puppet and getting his spirit ashes. Either way it’s a win win 🔥🙌

The dung eater head, arm, and leg pieces go really well with the crucible tree chest imo

If you started golden order quest at the end dung eater might not die but rather keep takling, at least it is what happened in my playthrough.
Anyway to fix this? If u kill him hell drop all but the rune. :(

Helpful tip. the 3rd Seedbed curse... the room can be accessed from the actual Manor by patches but there will not be a seedbed curse. You have to actually use the stonesword key entrance to make it appear
Yo I have a question, if I beat the boss without having the armor he mentioned and didn’t do the quest line for patches, would I still be able to continue on the dungeater questline or would it be unavailable?
@@Heizeyeah need a little more detail. What Boss? Since no boss drops any seedbed curses this shouldn't be a problem. Patches quest is not tied to dungeater quests at all.
@@phant0m0 7:53 he says something about it, I got a little confused as I didn’t do patches questline n he mentions it in this video. I’m in that exact area, and he says don’t fight the boss unless you did patches questline and get his armor, idk what he meant so I stopped playing as I didn’t want to ruin my questline and have to restart.
@@Heizeyeah he meant not to beat Rykard at Volcano Manor until all quests in the area are satisfied. Still, the only thing related to dung eater is the seedbed curse collectable. Beating Rykard won't remove the curse from the area.
@@Heizeyeah Also the armor he mentions is the reward for completing Patches quest - Bull Goat Armor - it's beefy tank armor.

I fast travelled back to the side of Grace after giving him the potion , because you said reload the area … I came back and he’s not there and no armour..
Im late to this but i just found out that if you give him the potion and leave the area. he'll be in the same room as sorceress Sellen

You can get the key before getting all 5 seed bed curse
I did
yea I only got 1, I didn’t even know there were more in the game.
Some things worth noting;
- There are 6 total seedbed curses, you only need 5 in total.
- At 12:20 if you have bought prawns from Boggart to move him to the moat you need to exhaust the dialogue with Boggart until he says "dungeater is lurkin' around 'ere" then fast travel out and back to the area for dungeater to invade otherwise nothing will happen.
- You dont need to port out after getting the curse rune to get the armour, just save the game back to the menu then load back in.
- After killing Radabeast, you still interact with the corpse but you need to choose "Use mending rune of the fell curse"
There's an extra seedbed curse if you let him defile black guard
Saw him fight a boss with 4 million the other day, unphased.
If you give Dung Eater Selivus' potion, you can kill him after he gets knocked out and get his armor. Then you can still get him as a puppet. I accidentally killed him after the potion and it allowed me to get both armor and the puppet.
This seems like something that could be patched but I am not sure lol. Nice trick though!
What happens if I outright kill him when I see him

If anyone burned the tree after the fire giant and are stuck at 4/5. If by chance you've bought boiled prawn from Blackgaurd and found him just outside the capital. He'll give you the last seedbed curse at the end of his questline.

I gave him the potion in one of my playthroughs because I wanted him as a summonable. But then I made a huge mistake and accidentally hit him which messed everything up. Hours wasted.
A small tidbit, I know this is an old video, but be sure to raise the bridge via the large "lever" located left at the top of the stairs before entering the doors to the Temple of Egli @ 00:06:19 , this will allow you to use the "Prison Town Church" Site of Grace to respawn at if you are defeated by the Godskin Noble.

So I made Blackguard Big Boggart come to the moat AFTER defeating Dung Eater there, and now I can't get that seedbed curse. He's still alive tho, maybe thats a plus
Just quickly putting this here in case anyone wants to get the Dung Eater Puppet to run through DLC with (like me lol). You'll only need 1 seedbed curse which allows you to get the Sewer Gaol Key, and speak to Seluvis and follow his questline before giving Ranni the Fingerslayer Blade. Administer the potion to Dung Eater after killing him in the Outer Moat (i believe its after not before). Then you can buy his summon from Seluvis for 5 starlight shards
I also think its faster to get to the Dectus Lift via the Academy. Get the key to enter, enter the south gate to the grace before the lift, then take the other teleporter, which puts you next to a Grace, and its a straight shot forwards to get to the Lift

For volcano manor to get teleported there as soon as you reach altus just buy ryas necklace off bogart, give it back and when you first use the lift to get to altus shes just standing off to the side and if you talk to her she TPs you to volcano manor.

if you are going to give him the potion you only need to acquire 1 so he gives you the gaol key , you will need also to get invadade by him at the moat (meaning you need to progress the blackguard boggart's quest) , after that you talk to him at the table and he will be tied to the chair at the gaol , at this point you have the option to give give him the seedbed curses or give him seluvis potion
I believe you only need 1 . Once you go to his body in the chair give it to him

I used 5 seeds but dung eater just sits in the chair in his cell repeating “curse you golden order one day you’ll get what’s coming” :( what am I doing wrong?
I gave him four and its the same dialog. I guess we have to get the others seabed curses.
It is possible to give Seluvis's Potion and get the Omen Armor Set. This way you can get both the Dung Eater Puppet and the Omen Armor (although I don't think doing this will reward the Mending Rune of the Fell Curse).
Progress Seluvis's quest enough to get the potion, and progress Dung Eater's quest enough to where he is tied up in the chair in the sewer (you only need 1 total seedbed curse to get this far).
The final, important sequence: First, when speaking to the tied up Dung Eater in the sewer (his last stage before completing his quest) give him Seluvis's Potion. Second, do not leave or reload the area but wait about 10 seconds or so. Third, kill dung eater (literally, like kill him with any weapon), then his now doubly dead body will drop the armor set so make sure to pick it up before leaving.
Then you can return to Seluvis and continue his quest, informing him that you gave the potion, and then you should be able to purchase the Dung Eater puppet. I think the only difference towards Seluvis's stuff is that Dung Eater's physical dead body can't be found in the puppet room like it normally would if you did everything normally.
So if the sorcerer dead (for some reason) I can’t have dung eater puppet neither or there’s an other chance?

I just kinda found this odd, but you don’t need to collect all five from the locations. The reason is because if you do Boggarts quest alongside dung eater and speak to him after he gets mutilated Boggarts corps will not only give you his stuff but also a seedbed.
Thought that might be kinda cool
it is, unfortunately you still need to get at least 1 seedbed curse from the haligtree. And if you can get one, it will take literally 30 seconds to get the other lol

It definitely sucks cause im in New game+ and I managed to accidentally kill patches yet again for the love of god which means I'll have to beat the main storyline yet again to get the bull goat armor rip.
The Dung Eater invasion does not trigger. It seems like this quest is stuck in its tracks for whatever reason.

If you kill him after you give him the potion, you get his armor. Then continue on the questline like he describes and you get him as a puppet too
If u want the sword of milos just attack his physical form he'll swap to it and start fighting you. He does good damage and will drop his armor set and the sword.
Pretty cool sword worth it imo if u just dont like dung eater like me.

My guess is that if dung eater is still in the sewers and you can get to him with 5 seedbed curses then you’re fine. There’s one seedbed curse in the ashen capital that I don’t show in the video

At that fifth one if you drop down one more level run out the door and to your right is a Lord's Rune. Highest valued rune in the game
1st spawn is EAST capital rampart, not the regular capital rampart. Hope this helps anybody who’s confused

IMPORTANT!! I don't know if i missed him saying this or if it wasn't mentioned, but if you are going to turn dung eater into a puppet, make sure not to give ranni the fingerslayer blade until after you finish this and Seluvis' quests! I just found out the hard way that if Seluvis is dead, you can not give dung eater the potion.

If I'm not mistaken blaggard bogart's questline can end with him having an optional seedbed curse at the location of the fight with dung eater.

Actually 2 out of 6 seedbed are missable, so if you didn’t get 5 seedbeds before completing the game you’ll need to start another run to complete the quest

You can give dung eater selevus potion in his cell and then after kill him BEFORE YOU LEAVE. His armor will drop, and you will still be able to get the dung eater summon from Selevus.
If you do this, you won't be able to get the mending rune of the fell curse, and if you leave the sewers after giving selevus potion, dung eater will disappear, and you won't be able to get the armor either.
