Good to hear how local churches are supporting local communities in times of devastation. Psalm 46 says: “God is our shelter and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not be afraid, even if the earth is shake and mountains fall into the ocean depths; even if the seas roar and rage, and the hills are shaken by the violence.” You live in such a beautiful landscape but your Homestead is so close to the Creek that it's in danger, not just from water but any associated mudslide, which you now realise is a possibility. If it's not safe for your vehicles, which you sensibly moved to safely, it’s not safe for your family either - you are more valuable! Please consider a future family evacuation plan, as your parents' house seems to be in a much safer place in the landscape. There may be a faith metaphor in the parable of the two builders in Matthew 7 that we shouldn’t ignore in Jesus‘ practical analogy about house building.
I'm watching from Minnesota. PLEASE know that there are many, many of us from all over the nation who grieve, mourn and agonize over what we've seen. We are helping as much as we possibly can!! Please tell your loved ones and neighbors: we DO care and we are doing all we can to help! With much from a sister in faith!❤
Your ability to describe and show the rest of the world what you lived through was so helpful. None of us can imagine what’s happened to Helene’s survivors. Your ending with Bible verses of comfort showed that you are full of wisdom and compassion from the Lord. God bless you all.
The verses you quoted at the end brought me to tears here in Southern California. Your trials there in North Carolina have been so horribly visible as I found myself unable to look away from all the heartbreaking stories of loss and destruction. But the resilience of your fellow Appalachian neighbors has been extraordinary to behold. I'm donating as I'm able and supporting the great work of the Cajun Navy 2016 and Mountain Mule Packer on their rescue and supply missions. Prayers for you and your community.
Samaritan's Purse is another great organization. They go everywhere to help and just their luck, they were hit by this as well. Didn't take them long to get back to their feet and go to work.
Sweet lady, there are no words… you said it most profoundly and well, Amen. You continue to be in our prayers, our giving, our volunteering and in our hearts. God bless
I understand about missing your dad. My own dad moved into our Father's Kingdom 15 years ago. I know we will meet again. However, I miss my dad in the present.
My heart has been so broken for everyone in the path of Hurricane Helene. I have shed so many tears and offered dozens of prayers as I sit glued to the screen watching every video I can find, looking for what the LORD is doing, wishing I could go help. I, like millions, feel so helpless, but want to help in some way, but feel overwhelmed as to how or where to begin. And many of us desire to give and help, but are not able. So we pray and try to encourage. Your video is beautiful, sweet, filled with hope and faith. The LORD surely has not turned away and is in the midst of the storm with you all, working through each and every neighbor, showing the love of Jesus through each and every volunteer. The LORD is showing us what is so special about the USA. When something happens close to home to a neighbor, way across the country or around the world in foreign places, we put our differences aside, jump in to stand side by side with strangers to make a difference and to help. We pull together and we come together as a people. God wants us to know that about ourselves. That we are a good nation of good people who are always willing to help each other out. God bless you all and God bless everyone who has lost so much, I have no doubt that God will work through His children to help people recover and rebuild their lives. And know that many are praying.
Same with me. Ive spent every night scouring thru videos, and crying for the sweet people. Ive always felt a connection to south, and lived there for almost 10 yrs. I miss it so much. My brother is moving to NC to be with his daughter, family. Wish i could go. God bless you❤
I've been through 3 major flood events in western NC and in every one the people have been beyond belief. The petty bickering disappears and we become much closer to what the Lord has in mind for each of us. If you want to give, i suggest Samaritans Purse. They have been in the middle of this cataclysm from the start and have been tireless for two weeks straight. Keep us in your prayers most of all. We'll be there when others need us.
God wants you to stop polluting the earth and stop voting for climate change denying politicians who take money from fossil fuel corporations. Better listen to the real message from God.
What would we do without Jesus! I am so sorry for all of you to have to go through such a thing! My prayers are with you all. Thank you for recommending places to send relief. In this day and age, we have to be careful that money gets to where it is intended. I am so glad your home was spared. Bless you and your family. Continuing to pray!

The day this hurricane was hitting there I literally couldn't get rid of this horrible feeling in my gut all night at work. I was anxious all night into the next day. Then I searched on tiktok and it was horrible. Worked again the next day then sobbed all the way home. I mean I live way up in Minnesota and don't usually feel this extreme. So I knew it was bad. Then seeing everyone come together was beautiful
@@Moonchild-bb5dr The people here come out after a catastrophic event like angry ants out of a hill. Nothing and nobody stops them until every immediate need is taken care. There is nothing like seeing this first hand. I am so sorry and hope for the best for you. I sent money and hope it helps your area. Hope the government assists you. We need to help our own citizens before others. Bless those helpers!
Its nobodies fault in preparedness, this was an unprecedented event, once in a thousand years type event. It still blows my mind how far that hurricane traveled& to do that much devastating damage since it hit Florida originally!!! Those mud slides 😢 so so sad! I'm going to send a donation to Samaritans Purse they are a very good organization ❤️
Dearest Anita, I have watched every video of the devastating floods and destruction, this video truly touched my heart! ♥️ GOD is using your voice to speak for those who lost theirs and for those who are trying to survive! I can tell by your voice, you are filled with the Blessings of wisdom, grace, compassion and love. Thank you for your video, it gives us a better perspective of what families like yours have experienced. Thank GOD, your family is going to be okay. 🙏💖🙏💖🙏💖🙏
I lived in coastal NC for a time in my life and always knew that you had to be prepared to bug out. To bug out means you have to have a plan. You poor people just didn't have a reason to be as prepared as I was. This happened to my family in WV a long time ago and we weren't any better prepared. Thankful that no more died than did and horrified by how many did. Prayers for you all in Appalachia!!!❤❤❤❤
So happy to hear that you are all safe and doing okay! Isaiah 26:3 You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.
God sent the floods as a message and a warning. Stop polluting the earth, or else. Stop voting for climate change denying politicians who take money from corrupt fossil fuel corporations. Just like with Noah, God sent the floods and God intervened to save those who will understand His message and spread the word.
I can't help but to feel guilty. I live just south of Asheville, and other than a limb going through our roof, we were almost untouched. On our block, only three houses didn't have a tree on it, mine being one of them. We're talking BIG trees, big oaks and poplars just smashing houses, and I got a limb in my bathroom. Now it's getting worse. The stores are running out food and cleaning supplies. I lived in Florida in 2004, and I know that FEMA's "keep three days worth of food and water." is a joke. If you're lucky, they show up a week or two later. I try to keep 4 weeks worth of supplies, but now I'm seeing that's just not enough. I'm about half way through my supplies, and there's none to be had around here. Sure, I could go to a church or a mission and get some, but I still have my own. I'm afraid by the time I run out, so is everybody else.
I am so relieved that you and your family are well, and home is intact. I am inspired by the strength of your faith and trust in the Lord. Psalm 34 is one of my favorites and so perfect in these circumstances. We pray without ceasing, and we have donated to Samaritans Purse. We will give more as we can. I wish we could do more. ❤🙏
I’m from Chattanooga, but my mom lived just miles from Newport Tn before she passed years ago. Now my sister lives in her home. She was not affected by the floods, neither home or job. But watching videos on the area my heart breaks because my mom would always take us on day trips to these places. I’ve been to Del Rio, Dillsboro, Hartford, and many others that are now devastated and I’m heartbroken seeing what they now look like. I also take 11:21 great pride and joy in seeing the resilience of those people who lost everything and are still standing strong! Thank you for sharing your story, it brings hope to others!❤
Amen sister! Thank you for the inspiration because it gives comfort to many who have events in their lives that seem insurmountable, but through faith and trust in Christ, these things too shall pass and build our faith even stronger if we keep our eyes on him! May we all pray our God send his grace and blessings to your family and others affected by these terrible disasters!

This whole video is so beautifully crafted and narrated. You were indeed lucky compared to others, but this whole event was devastating all the way around. It is so hard to bear witness to such devastation and to know that so many lost their lives in the process. There is just no way that anyone could prepare for this, and it will take years to recover from this.
Amen! I'm praying for everyone affected by this horrible tragedy. You're right. Our faith is even stronger when tragedy hits us believers in Jesus Christ. Psalms 33:20-22 [20] We put our hope in the Lord. He is our help and our shield. [21] In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. [22] Let your unfailing love surround us, Lord, for our hope is in you alone.
Thank You for Your Testimony. I have been watching many channels since the catastrophe occurred and will keep watching as this area survives and rebuilds. 🙏🙏 Many prayers for Everyone, the losses of homes, lives and communities🙏🙏💙💙
I'm surprised the governor didn't deploy the national guard to begin helping those areas that are reachable. I remember when I lived in NC and the storm that hit in 2004. I ended up evacuating (3 little ones) to my mom's in SC. And when I came back was the challenge to get home because part of 158 was washed away. Was so many down trees.. and dead animals- so I know how devastating these weather events can be. Good to see people helping people🙏🏽
From Illinois I just realized that a beautiful little creek that was there could flood so much with the immense rains. Its unbelievable. My prayers were with all those affected from this historic hurricane.
WARNING: 12 OCT. Residents, churches , communities, schools, FIRE Dept: Savannah, Ga. Windsor Forest 31419. Still taking collection and donations . Coats, shoes, clothing, foods, neccesaties to residents of Asheville, and surrounding areas. HELP IS STILL ON THE WAY via truckloads this weekend. You are not forgotten, and folks aren't just watching, they are gathered and have been taking care and action. You are not abandoned. Hang tight and hang in.
I hate to bring this up but gently used or new clothes only. Many have used the opportunity to get rid of old clothes full of holes, bugs and cigarette smoke. Now the donations must be sorted and people are looking for help to organize used clothing.
It breaks my heart to see such devastation happening to so many people. I'm glad that you and your family are safe. My heart and prayers go out to everyone affected by Helene and Milton. ❤❤
We’re 2 Canadian families praying, grieving and donating to Samaritan’s Purse. This is unprecedented and intentional destruction and loss. We pray especially that water lines are restored soon.
Thank you so much for sharing! Very encouraging to those who are searching for answers! Jesus will always be with you, guide you, ad comfort you! Gail🙏
This reminds me of when the Yellowstone park start to flood Red Lodge creek. I found someone’s dresser in my front yard 35 miles from home. The strangest thing was the belongings were still in it. Red lodge and the surrounding areas survived and were rebuilt much like y’all will.
Feel for you people. Terrible experience but relief mistakes will quickly be forgotten with latest hurricane. Spit on the ocean next to what your part of the Country went through. People need to keep that in mind!
This is the first person to realize how dangerous this storm was and how destructive it was going to be. I wish more people like her would have used common sense and left or been better prepared. May GOD bless her and her family and all those who are suffering. May GOD bless all again.
Glad you’re ok .Weve just gone thru Milton in Florida ,we didn’t have any damage just a few things tipped over ,lots of twigs and leaves to clean up .We only lost power for 23 hrs .Lots of flooding in places .lots of tornados hit further south from us .
So so sad for every one suffering from Helene & Milton. The devastation bn is unimaginable. God is our recuer & sustainer in trials. Your faith is an encourager to many. May our Heavenly Father bless you & your family, as you bless others. Prayers from Australia.😢🙏💕

yes, so many are doing extraordinary things!! Thank you so much for your prayers!!
Thank you for sharing this beautiful testimony about Jesus and the churches being the body of Christ 🙏❤️✝️
@@debbiedean3165 Churches and Private choppers were the first to arrive here too. A couple of days later, convoys arrive... Without the community, more would have died.
I found you by accident ~ thank you for sharing from your heart, you have certainly touched many hearts with your words. God bless -I am praying now🙏🏻🙏🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸
God Bless all of you damaged by this hurricane.
Thank you for letting us in Ga. & other states know what is happening with families in N.C God is with us through people helping doing what they can to help. So thankful your families are ok God Bless you all and prayers to all that has been affected by Helene. I have never seen such devastation in what Helene has done to so many states. Praying for all!🙏🙏
This looks like the most beautiful place to live. Hurricanes aside obviously
We are incredibly thankful to call NC home🙏
It still blows my mind how far that hurricane traveled& to do that much devastating damage since it hit Florida originally!!! Those mud slides 😢 so so sad! I'm going to send a donation to Samaritans Purse they are a very good organization ❤️
Dearest Anita, I have watched every video of the devastating floods and destruction, this video truly touched my heart! ♥️
GOD is using your voice to speak for those who lost theirs and for those who are trying to survive!
I can tell by your voice, you are filled with the Blessings of wisdom, grace, compassion and love.
Thank you for your video, it gives us a better perspective of what families like yours have experienced.
Thank GOD, your family is going to be okay.
🙏💖🙏💖🙏💖🙏
I appreciate that so much! Some people have really been mean in the comments, and I just wanted to lead people to places to help others😢
Your video blessed my soul. It’s so good to see that you know where to look for your help. Our help comes from The Lord who made heaven and earth!
If you can pass along an address, I have contacts in Asheville who can get what you need to you🙏
I am so relieved that you and your family are well, and home is intact. I am inspired by the strength of your faith and trust in the Lord. Psalm 34 is one of my favorites and so perfect in these circumstances. We pray without ceasing, and we have donated to Samaritans Purse. We will give more as we can. I wish we could do more. ❤🙏
Thank you so much! They are doing such wonderful work here all over, and everything helps!!
Distant relatives in Chattanooga and I hoped they didn’t get much destruction
Amen sister! Thank you for the inspiration because it gives comfort to many who have events in their lives that seem insurmountable, but through faith and trust in Christ, these things too shall pass and build our faith even stronger if we keep our eyes on him! May we all pray our God send his grace and blessings to your family and others affected by these terrible disasters!
Some folks in my area here in Western Pennsylvania are having a fundraiser concert in a few weeks to benefit NWCarolina !
Heat warming video. I always have a tear in my eye when I see people caring for others
Your channel popped up in my recommendations today and I am so thankful. This post has blessed me more than ANY of the hundreds of others I have watched about the Helene catastrophe. New subscriber because of it. Thank you and God bless you and your family❤
Thank you for your testimony.
My heart has been aching for all of you who have been affected by this disaster. So glad you and your family are ok. Praying for peace and restoration to all! ❤ love from Alabama!!
It's so heartbreaking all around, and seems so hopeless, but people are doing their best. Thank you for the prayers!!
The power of water is tremendous. 😢
Continued prayers for all those affected 🙏 Praise God for So much support all around
The prayers are much appreciated!!
Amen I’ve been crying lots of tears for everyone that was affected and I’ve been praying constantly for them all. My kids, husband, and I will be going to volunteer in a couple weeks. We know they will need help for awhile, so we want to help as much as we can. Those prayers are Beautiful 🥰🙏
Praying for everyone in your region🙏
Thank you!
Thank you for sharing this. I am so impressed with your families physical/emotional/spiritual strength in the face of such horrendous circumstances. God bless you all, and he continued to be by your side, through your struggles to move forward and regain your sense of peace and prosperity. Strong people been doing
Candoamazing things, and your region is filled with strong people.
There are amazing people here:-)
Such a beautiful area. It will take time but Peace will come to you again. 🙏🏼
Excellent film.. It is all in God's hands. Our lives are in His hands. I am praying for all of our southern neighbors. My heart is truly broken for all the suffering down there in the mountains.. Good people you all are..🥹😭💔🙏🫂
I'm so glad your house was saved, I pray for all those that lost loved ones and everything they worked so hard for. Sometimes tragitity brings people together and makes us forget about ourselves and all the petty things we have all been holding against each other. Keep praying gods got this. I grew up in the mountains so it hurts to see all the destruction. Blessings
Thank you Sandy🙏
I love seeing your daddy driving the tractor! Reminds me of mine ♥️… lost him in 2005, cherish him. So thankful you all didn’t lose your home🩷
I can’t even imagine what this feels like even though I see videos like yours showing me. My prayer is with all of you have suffered these deep losses!
I can attest that as someone who has experienced numerous hurricanes in southeastern NC that it is the locals and churches from all over the U.S. that has helped us get through these disasters. Prayers every day for the wonderful people of western NC.
Amen!! Praying for NC and all of the Appalachias! Thank you for sharing your family’s experiences during such frightening times. Praise the Lord for His mercies and goodness!!
Thank you for this amazing video. My wife and I from N Idaho pray for your region daily. Samaritan's Purse is our preferred charity. I have watched many video's of this devastation and have been looking for new updates and new video's of progress and this really helped. Thank you for your faith and your trust in Jesus for your sharing this with us.
The warm hearts of the wonderful people of the Carolinas makes me so very proud of them. God please bless these warriors!
Thank God you are safe. It is so heartwarming to hear you speak so lovingly about your neighbors. In times of strife, look to the Lord.
We are in Oregon on Mt Hood, we pray continuously for all of you, I cannot think of anything besides all of you people. We're old but we wish we could come help, so we will help by donating to Samaritan Purse. I will subscribe to your channel and share your video. We love you all and wish we could do more.
Thank you so much!!
Our hearts and thoughts are with you every day. Our community in Statesville is sending as much as we can. Just letting you know how many of us are thinking of you and trying to help as much as we're allowed. Start to send towels linens blankets and winter needs. We love you thank you for sharing your story.
thank you! They are much needed especially Burnsville, etc. 🙏
What a blessing to have multiple generations on the same land working together to survive.
Fortunately, your family is one of several I've seen that have faired well, despite what has been thrown at you
God bless your whole family
Anita, I’ve been praying for you and your family!
I appreciate that so much!! Thank you!
Good to hear how local churches are supporting local communities in times of devastation.
Psalm 46 says: God is our shelter and strength,
always ready to help in times of trouble.
So we will not be afraid,
even if the earth is shaken
and mountains fall into the ocean depths;
even if the seas roar and rage,
and the hills are shaken by the violence.
You live in such a beautiful landscape but your Homestead is so close to the Creek that it's in danger not just from water but any associated mudslide, which you now realise is a possibility. If it's not safe for your vehicles, which you sensibly moved to safely, its not safe for your family either. Please consider a future family evacuation plan, as your parents' place seems to be in a much safer place in the landscape.
Hawai'i here. It has ALWAYS been the churches in our communities that have offered not only physical help and materials, but, more importantly, comfort for the soul during very troubling times 🙏🏼❤🕊
You did the best job of blessing and reporting - you reported on God and reported on mankind in the midst of struggles and survival. It’s not survival when you have a God who is the Lifter of Your Head and heart. ❤️🙏❤️🙏
God sent the floods as a message just as He did with Noah. Stop polluting the earth. Stop denying that your pollution is causing climate change. Stop voting for climate change deniers. Listen to Gods message.
Amen!
Sending love and prayers

Amen! I'm praying for everyone affected by this horrible tragedy. You're right. Our faith is even stronger when tragedy hits us believers in Jesus Christ.
Psalms 33:20-22
[20] We put our hope in the Lord.
Thanks for your message. Pray for all those suffering from this disaster.
Thank you for making this video.🙏
Love thy neighbor. Always be humble and kind. God bless you all. Prayers for everyone 🙏 ❤❤❤
@@bearball49agree. They need CLEAN clothes as they can’t wash anything
So thankful your house and cars and mostly you are safe!

We’re 2 Canadian families praying, grieving and donating to Samaritan’s Purse. This is unprecedented and intentional destruction and loss. We pray especially that water lines are restored soon.
from this video you were very very fortune in comparison to the MASSIVE destruction in many areas through out Carolina happy you and yours are safe
May God bless all the wonderful people of N. Carolina and all the states dealing with that horrible hurricane. Prayers for all.
God bless you. 🙏🌿💕 Praying for everyone.
