We removed and stumped a small tree from the middle of our lawn. We filled the circular space left with soil (about 2.5m diameter) and turfed it. Or can I top dress it with 5cm depth of soil, foot pressing etc and then reseed? This would be my preference but I’m not sure how the seeding will interact with the turf below. Many thanks for your insight.
