Here’s my 1 year review of Project Gamma intakes on my BMW M4. This is a must watch follow-up video! 🔥
10:25 M4 having an asthma attack 😂 those inhalers loud af
No prescription necessary
10:06 good lord, it sounds like a pissed off alien coming to take over the planet 🔥
Beam me up, Scotty 👽😂
The time stamps came in clutch!
🤝🏽
Thanks for the scoops, they'll go nicely with my Eventuri Intake!
Happy to hear that 😄 Here’s a previous video in case you wanna see me walk through the install

Sound clips are mic’d by the grills. You can see this at 08:38. The intake whoosh is hard to come across on camera in the cabin the way these cars are well insulated and I also have a loud cat-back exhaust drowning out intake noises.
Awesome video man.. LOVE the sound! I'm considering swapping my AWEs for front mounted at some point; I never get tired of that induction sound.
Thank you bro, I appreciate you. I really like the awe s flow intakes too. Maybe consider air scoops behind the grill
@@HotRodM4 Likewise brother. And yeah I do like the look of the carbon fiber for the AWE.. just wish it were open. Might give those scoops a try. 🍻
I just got a f83 6speed m4 and I’m located in queens village i see you’re also in queens. We definitely have to link up
Nice install. Noticed u a New Yorker. I travel that route everyday. Two questions. Will those be a problem sucking in water when it rains. And also can u send a link to the hood emblem u have.I’m also from NY. And I have a F80 comp.
No problem driving in rain for me. These filters have 6 layers to them. Project Gamma has pics of it on their site.
Badges for F80 specifically here ind-distribution.com/products/bmw-m-50-year-anniversary-heritage-roundel-set-f80-m3
Thank you boss for the emblems link. We gotta link up one day
Those intakes are pretty loud
Yeah they are. These cars are well insulated from outside noise and my exhaust setup is pretty loud too. So, setting the mic up to the grills really gets the intake noise across on video.
@@HotRodM4 I figured you did something like that.
Currently about to do DP’s and either BMC Drop ins vs this style CAI and flash Stage 2 Tune on my F82. After your experience doing both and playing around with Tunes which did you prefer performance wise ?
I never got around to using my BMC drop-ins while tuned (only used it when I was stock the past 2 years).
I will say, bootmod3 stage 1 & 2 combined with these front mount intakes increased the throttle response. These tunes really utilize the increased/cooler airflow to make more power. I got plenty of air induction sounds with these project gamma intakes on bootmod3 tunes.
I recommend going with BMC drop-ins first because they’re very affordable and you’ll see how you like them before committing to spending the project gamma price.

How are these holding up? Thinking about getting these along with the top mount, did you get any codes? to lean? how's it going
Running smoothly to this day. Ran it with stock tune, no problem. Ran it stage 1 then stage 2 with bm3 (no problems). Drove through rain, no problem. Took a drive outta state, no problem. 💯
Only time I ever had a code (too lean) was when I had a different intake system (cones inside the engine bay but without the heat shield, so it was getting hot engine bay air).
Bro not sure but are you selling the carbon airduct thats if you still have it?
These were sold a while back. You can get them here from the OG seller I got them from.

Do these have the same sound as rk tunes?
Yeah!
Bro, did you ever take them off and notice dust build up inside the intake tubes?
Not yet but I plan to when I take off the bumper later for some Spring cleaning.
Shouldve installed an actual cold air intake like my sealed AFE carbon joint. It might not sound as good but i guarantee its colder air. No hate just fucking around
I used to have MST intakes. I liked them a lot and would recommend 👍🏽
Yo any problems when it rains? I’ve heard rumors of taking on water. Can you confirm?
No problems in the rain or snow for me in the 11 months I’ve had it. The filters have 6 layers + a hydrophobic mesh in the middle. See the last pic in the link 👇🏽

How long did the installation take?
Longer than it should because I was learning on the fly and recording. I’m sure I can do it under 2 hrs now with the experience.
Does it help with performance in any way or is it all just for the sound?
Mostly sound. Slight increase in hp.
Think of it like this. The engine is taking in more air. More air needs more fuel to keep the air fuel ratio consistent. So, if you add a tune after installing cone intakes, the tune will tell the car to use more fuel to go with the extra air coming in. Then you’ll get more hp.
@@HotRodM4 yes, I know how an increase in airflow helps. It's that just by looking at it I couldn't tell if it would increase airflow, it seemed the same size. You could argue the filter is less restrictive but i couldn't know about that either just by seeing it on the screen. So the short answer would be yes. Cool. I'd argue that it would be more important to highlight the gains in power than the sound, you won't be hearing it much in the cabin anyway.
@@vasilisgreenmany workshops recommend using the stock intakes to push high amounts of boost. My friend sold off his eventuri intake to buy back a stock intake, so i don’t think an intake on these cars is necessary unless u want it purely for sound, M engineers know the best so why change that uk
Damnnn😍
Damn right !
Would this work with a single turbo set up ?
No you’d just need one intake for one turbo and most likely some custom work depending how/where that single turbo is placed.
get a go pro on ur head or smt 😂, w vid tho
Only because you asked so nicely 😄
you gotta get a better mic and not noise cancel cuz that thing sounds like hot ass at the end :/
Which one you recommend ?
That intake sucks!!! Lol
Literally 💨
