Watch for them to go on sale. The only reason I bought a pair for my teen was because they were on sale at the time and including shipping they were $25. The reflective stuff on them has lasted just fine on the ones I bought. It's been over 6 months. Also, they run small. My teen wears Adult Small in all other leggings and but needed Adult Medium in Lisa McKinnon ones. They don't seem to have stretched out.
@@nancyschwartz7692 guess you got more lucky with them than me! I wish my experience with them was better. You can actually see in the video the part that’s further away from the camera (basically the upper thighs and butt area) is all washed off. 😕
@@brunoandfae Yes. You can definitely see that in your video. Wondering if maybe type of laundry detergent could possibly play a part in how fast the shine wears off.
Sweaty betty are my go to! They're not cheap but I have one pair of leggings right now and they typically last me 1-2 years each, that being said I wear them all the time!! On ice and off but I recommend them all the time!!
Right now my fav leggings are either mid-high waist from Alo Yoga (because the super high waist go right up to under my boobs and are not comfortable), or the Lisa McKinnon Lush leggings, which are not in stock right now. But the LM ones are so comfortable and flattering. Practice, I'll wear those and then a hoodie with a tank underneath so I can strip the hoodie off if I get too warm, for lessons, I wear a little more fitted shirts so my coach can see my lines.
And for testing, I do a leo and a dance skirt, which makes things really easy, and allows me to still wear a fitted black jacket and gloves because I get very very cold.
thanks for sharing ! Skate leggins for men is even more difficult to find. ( in a bit larger size like I am). I like the sport leggings / running leggins from Uniqlo a lot !! when they were on sales, I bought plenty plenty of spare. They have a bit of pattern as well. I haven't found anything else as good !
I don’t know anything about male leggings honestly (Bruno only wears fitted sweatpants all the time 😅), but I’d think the ones guys wear for the gym might work?
We are actually approaching our 1 year skate-a-versary! :) We started last summer. We always share all our classes - group and private - since the beginning. But we work on our individual skating skills in those, too as well as partnered.
Figure skating is for everyone
This video is a great opportunity to learn about the sport as an fan. Thanks for all you do.

90 Degree are my favorite! Im curvy too - they last for a long time!
Oh, that’s great to know!
Thank you so much! I'm also an adult figure skater (Pennsylvania) with a very similar body type. Leggings are SO hard to find sometimes!
Yay! Glad it’s helpful! 😊
Ah perfect! I am going on an ice skating shopping haul tomorrow :D. Including skates and clothes. Perfect timing
Haha it’s as if I knew! Haha 🤪
Happy shopping!
Haha I guess you did😊. I got the Risport Rf3 Pro’s with Coronation Ace light blades and many other goodies!
Thanks for the info about the Lisa M leggings. I was debating trying a pair, but the cost is so high, and it sounds like they aren't worth it.
Not saying they are, not saying they aren’t… 🤐😅 But this was my personal experience with them 🤷🏼♀️

You are smart & Good information .
Thanks so much!
Fae, how long have you and Bruno been figure skating? Do you guys take private lessons individually too or just private lessons as a couple?
