Yes the lyrics really take you on a (very dark) journey. You can notice his passion for horror games (P.T. and silent hill) in the subject matter

I liked Knocked Loose before I heard this album, but I didn't love them. After listing to this and actually paying attention to the lyrics, I have a new appreciation for their songs and style. This album is amazing and tells a brutal story of love and loss. Absolutely must be listened to as a whole
This band isn’t recognized for their talent nearly enough. One of the most artistically and impactful projects i’ve ever listened to

I totally get OG suicide silence vibes mixed with their own sound and some more progressive elements. So dark. Heavy in every possible sense of the word. My ear drums quiver in fear whenever I get around to new knocked loose music.
This is one of the best things I have ever heard. Stunning.

@@Quiestre Its hard to understand right? xD But on every lyric-page it is "grave" and if you read the line after that "lowered beneath the dirt" I think that grave is actually the right word. But Im not 100% sure to be honest :D

I would disagree, I like the band, I could see why people would think that if there not the type to like breakdowns, bands do kinda overuse them, personally I think Knocked loose use them well and it doesn't sound as cheap as some other bands

I wish it wasn’t so polished. I wish they would have recorded this EP like records where recorded 20 years ago. It definitely would have made it much grittier of a record.
Re-master it yourself and put it on your channel. Makes interesting content.
I disagree there, gritty production works well with some styles of metal, personally I think breakdowns sound heavier with better quality production and a nice thick guitar tone coming through, with production like they had in the 80s I don't think this would sound as hard hitting

They were obviously listening to a lot of Meshuggah when this was recorded, but I'm glad they made something of their own out of it other than being a by-the-number djentcore band.
Lol just because a hardcore band makes something thought provoking an heavy doesn't mean that Meshuggah or Tool have anything to do with it.
These guys are in a league of their own. It's been a long time "overnight success".

@@theUBERsashimi I love how a comment that misinterpreted my message managed to get this many likes, apparently you gotta clarify to razor sharp precision to get your point across when describing the influences on this album, since I was referring to how they sound like Meshuggah at parts (especially in the opening track) but in a less conventional way than most would expect.
