So glad this style of music is coming back into form. You can pick these guys up and drop them off in 1996 and they’d fit right in. Even the artwork on the album hits home.
Yeah they got that noisy hardcore sound and their tone and production is modern and clean compared to a lot of those 90’s bands who recorded their albums on a potato.
Fucking love it, these guys and Magnitude are bringing this shit back and I'm all here for it. There's def been a xHCx resurgence going on for a bit, but this has more of a message/deeper meaning than most run-of-the-mill hardcore that succeeds in mimicing the sound but not the "feeling". These dudes fucking nail it.

Right. The middle and treble / band pass filter (if used) of that amplifier circuit is just at that right proportion that you can’t help but continue listening in a trance

john larose was wondering about that. Doubt it’ll make me like knocked looses music but I respect there hustle a lot more now.
I want to touch this but only quickly; I've been doin this a looong time. And I'm still goin. I was at the rail at US83. I broke a tooth at the Cow Palace in the pit at an RHCP show in '95. And in '19 I got a black eye in a Cannibal Corpse pit at the Ace of Spades in Sac. Don't bother doing the math, I'll say it, I'm too old. But I can't stop. I've forgotten more music than most people have ever heard. And these guys REALLY fuckin impress me. And I should add, I hate karate kicking hard core dancing, sorry not sorry. The mosh circle pit is WAY better, it allows more people to participate. But I digress. When it comes to hardcore stuff I look for music that starts, goes, and ends hard, hard, hard. When I listen to a hardcore band I have one really simple litmus: Will this music help me on the bench press? When you press big weight it's total commitment, once you pull the bar off the pegs you're all in. And I need music that does the same - these guys are up to the task. While I'm not an expert on arranging music these guys have a good ear. Seems dumb but they sound like they actually know how, and are good at playing their various instruments. And while good musicians can make bad music the inverse is not true (unless you're AC/DC). The breaks, the time signature changes, staying with each other, bass punches synched, it all adds up to a really clean, really great sound. And praise be to God, so far they seem to avoid the absolute disastrous traps that so fucking many other bands in this genre fall into which are the absolutely moronic: "creepy dungeon sounds," clips of dialoge from movies (specifically Scarface, and 50's horror films), yelling bullshit views on something or other over the beginning or end of the tracks. Or stupid instrumental shit that has no relation to the rest of a song. Desolated (who I love) completely fucked up their 2019 album doing this shit. The computer talking at the beginning of "A New Realm of Misery" sounds like something from a Tribe Called Quest's "AOI Bionix" album. Which in fairness had some solid sounds, but not anything you'd want to bench press or mosh to. Band: If you're reading this I'm begging you, don't do it. de Saint-Exupéry said "Perfection is attained not when you can find nothing more to add, but rather when there is nothing left to take away." All that stupid shit next to or over your music is like a turd in a punchbowl. Just lay down your tracks, no gimmicks; clear, clean, heavy, and hard. Hearing some good shit coming out of this space among these younger bands: Inclination, Trail of Lies, and others I can't remember because frankly I've been hit in the head too many times. I know 2020 has been a bitch generally, and specifically for the industry, but I hope you guys can keep it going. I've been listening for a long time and I think you guys really have something, you're not like the rest. There's a cohesion and punch to your sound that isn't common. Remember the "KISS" theory, and when all this virus bullshit is behind us, know that the fans will be waiting and HUNGRY! As for me, if you could use a good laugh, you will find me not fat but sleek, a true hardcore hog of Epicurus' herd. I'll be waiting for you at the back of the pit.
