is it okay to do yoga after taking bath?
❤
Nice to have this information, thank you, doing some of it, nice to have these guidelines. Look forward to catching up with your offerings here.
Excellent! I am so very proud of you. What a woman you have become!
This is great! Dinacharya is so incredibly important. Thanks for breaking it down so that we can see it in a timeline, and for making sure we don't overwhelm ourselves by trying to do it all at once :)
Great video!!
Wonderful set of daily practices! At least the day starts out well with this routine. I would only add that … for as long as this dinacharya takes from start to finish, it is useful to realise the law of impermanence and let go negativity and radiate positive feelings from the inner core of one’s being by sending out desirable vibrations (thoughts) into the universe (the space that is nearest to you). This ‘metta’ bhava (feeling) from Vipasanna helps tremendously to strengthen your own thoughts and so your personality.
Thank you for sharing about "metta". I am very familiar and it's something that my husband and I practice intentionally throughout the day. I've used metta more concentrated as a tool and it has helped to soften and solve some very challenging relations. Blessings ~
Yes this is a great instructional video. I have been trying to incorporate more into my life. Thank you!
Very well Done and such a pleasure to watch:) Thank you Lala!
Aw...thank you my friend.
Great info
Can you share why you encourage drinking water before tongue scraping and mouth cleaning? I’ve read that drinking before cleaning encourages all that accumulates overnight to go down into your digestive system.
Namaste dear ~ thank you for your question. This order is how I was taught by Dr. Lad, however, I hear you, it does make the most sense to do tongue scraping first for the reasons that you mention. Thank you for the insight.
Thank you for all the tips :) You have a beautiful home.
Thank you dear ~ Home-space is important. It's a gift, when it can be a sanctuary to decompress and recharge. I like a simple home with beautiful fabrics and imagery and lots of natural light. How about you?
I love your video... this is the first time I have found you : I’ll look for the others 😘💓
Thank you sweetheart. It's fun and meaningful to share. Together we rise!
love this video thank you
Thank you for the kind words. Stay bright!
Thanks for this helpful video. Appreciate how simplified the steps were...makes it seem so much more accessible
Thank you for the kind feedback dear, I'm glad you found it helpful. From my own experience, practicing this kind of a morning routine and evening routine creates an incredible foundation in one's life. Aum Shakti!
Thank you for this video. ❤
Aw...thank you sweet love, I'm glad you found it helpful.
Thank you.
You're welcome sweet friend. Your appreciation just brightened my day. Sending love bubbles right back at ya'!
Thank you
What a sweet simple gesture. You're welcome love. I'm glad you found the video helpful.
Thank you, Lala! I really liked the tip on simply sitting on the toilet to start the training.
Goodie, I am glad you found the video helpful. Deep belly breathing helps too and sometimes water with a squeeze lemon juice and 1 high-quality probiotic is needed too for a while.
Thank you 🙏🏾
You're welcome. I hope you learned 1-2 new things to add to your morning routine. Stay bright!
This video is AMAZING! So full of knowledge and information, very rich. Thank you!
Clearest Ayurveda routine video I’ve seen! Thank you so much, I’m grateful that I found you ❤️
Namaste dear ~ thank you for that positive feedback. My beginning videos are a little wobbly, it took a bit to get used to speaking to an audience through a camera. I hope that the info will serve you. Blessings ~
You are amazing 🤩 thanks 🙏 from Norway 🇳🇴 with all my love 😍. Kaveri om 🕉
Aw, thank you dear for the sweet feedback. I am half Danish and was just in Denmark visiting family. So cozy during Christmas time. Sender oenske om god jul : )
So helpful thank you! Blessings and love ❤
Kind of you to take the time to write a "thank you", Very much appreciated. Bless your heart ~
@@LalaNaidu ❤️❤️❤️
Lovely, Lala 😍 love your Ayurvedic routine❤️ Have you tried the kansa wand?✨
I haven't, I first heard about kansa wands from Melanie Sachs, I am curious to try particularly as I am currently adjusting my skincare routine as my skin's needs have changed.
I regularly do this all
Becoz I'm pursuing Ayurveda degree from dsraau
Namaste ~ how wonderful. Do you notice any specific benefits? For me, starting my day with a strong foundation sets a nice tone for the rest of the day, I feel more grounded, "fresh" and connected - ready to take on a new day.
You have a lovely channel. I liked the Dinacharya. Can you do a video on how we can know if we are a Vara, Pita or a Kapha please?
Namaste sweet friend ~ thank you for your kind words and that suggestion. To begin with, we are born with an original constitution (prakruti) a combination of V, P and K, and we present with a current state (vikruti) which can show up as symptoms and diseases. For now, visit my website where I go into more detail about how vata, pitta and kapha imbalances show up www.livnaloha.com/v-p-k-imbalances/
very informative
Thank you for the feedback. Are some of these habits already part of your morning routine, if so, which ones?
@@LalaNaidu dear mam , though we live in India
Some of the concepts are new , however
Tounge cleaning, oiling head are few common practices, but your video is so informative ❤️🕉️❤️
Btw where can I get your full yoga 🧘♂️ video , I’m practicing yoga 🕉️
I’m not a trained yoga asana instructor. There are plenty teachers out there that are great. My specialty and focus is Ayurvedic Medicine. I’m glad to know you practice yoga. Blessings on your journey my friend.
Why do we exercise after bathing? Won’t it get sweaty and will have to go shower again?
Namaste ~ thank you for your question. The order makes it so that your joints and muscles are well-lubricated and warmed up for exercise. In Ayurveda, very strenuous exercise isn't recommended, however, if you do that you may wish to rinse after. Do what feels good and right for you. Blessings ~
@@LalaNaidu Great new perspective! Never thought of it that way, Love it ❤️
Thank you! I'm curious - is Yoga recommended to be done after bath?
Namaste dear ~ good question. It depends on how vigorously you exercise. My first teacher Dr. Vasant Lad recommends exercising until sweat forms on the forehead, armpits, and lower spine, and can be done either in the morning or evening.
Most mornings, I either practice yoga asana or qigong and often after showering as I only do moderate exercise. Do what feels best and right for you. Blessings ~
😍😍😍😍
Can you please make a video about prolonged fasting?! Or yogis fasting
Namaste ~ I'm not sure if I'm the right person to talk on that subject as I haven't explored that practice for myself nor with clients. I've done 3 days of water fasting a few times and saw tremendous benefits and healing take place. It is interesting the science out on fasting...Dr. David Sinclair and his team have found that fasting is the best approach to slow down aging and I know Dr. Valter Longo talks about fasting encouraging autophagy. I'm curious to hear if you have any experience?
@@LalaNaidu thank you for being honest, but even the 72hours fasting is a great way to do prolonged fasting, your videos are so inspiring, I’ve shared them with so many but the problem is most of my people the can not understand English very well, so can I ask for your permission to translate one or two of your videos I will put the link of your channel and I will mention you, if it is okay I will be so glad to share those great informations with my Kurdish people, we speak Kurish and live in Kurdistan/Iraq. Loveeeeeee 🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
@@lizannnn Namaste dear ~ thank you for the sweet compliments. It's incredible how the internet can connect us with such physical distance. I will look into how translating a video works.
Yes, I hear you the 3-day fasting was very powerful, I'm definitely considering speaking on the subject.
I hope this finds you healthy and bright. Sending love your way ~
Hello I always though that oil pulling we do before brushing the teeth first thing in the morning.
Namaste ~ I hear you that doing oil pulling first makes logical sense. I go by the order I was taught by Dr. Vasant Lad. I think it has to do with wanting to leave the oil on the gums to lubricate and support the health of the gums, but I could be wrong. Either way, it is incredibly beneficial. Blessing on your oral care and self-care in general.
@@LalaNaidu Thank you so much I will try your way now on and see if i will feel the difference. Namiastkę~ Love your yt channel😁👍
I have one question: some people say it's ideal to scrap the tongue before drinking water, what do you think its best?
Namaste dear ~ thank you for your question. This order is how I was taught by Dr. Lad, however, I hear you that it makes good sense to scrape your tongue prior to drinking water. I still drink a glass of warm water as one of the first things upon waking.
So we are to bathe after we rub the oil on our body is that to wash the excess oil off?
Good question dear. Yes, this is different than simply moisturizing the body after showering or bathing. Abhyanga is an act of self-love and the oils do have therapeutic benefits for the tissues including the joints. After abhyanga/oil massage we wash off the excess oil, thou, I only use a mild soap on my private bits and then follow with towel drying. If you use heavier medicated oils, this will stain the towels and in general, the towels do absorb oil so best to use a less fancy towel. I hope that helps.
@@LalaNaidu Thank you for this comprehensive video. After washing off the excess oil, I like to swish off as much water from my body as I can with with my hands. Then I pat dry my body with just a wash cloth. I prefer this to using a regular towel because I can wash the smaller wash cloth out at the sink with a lot of soap and water, which avoids oil from building up and eventually ruining a regular towel. Also, you're not putting a towel with oil residue in the washing machine or dryer.
@@margaret2383Namaste Margaret, thank you kindly for sharing your tips with us. That's exactly how I do it too, swish off the excess oil-water and use smaller hand towels to dry off. The towels will eventually get soiled. OxyClean works well on white towels.
Can you tell me, please, after you chew the sesame seeds, do you swallow them or spit them out? And do you brush your teeth afterwards? Thank you.
Margaret, I'm glad you're so engaged and enthusiastic about Ayurvedic practices. Chewing on sesame seeds every morning is said to improve the strength of the teeth and help prevent receding gums. Chewing also helps wake up the mind and can ignite your digestive fire early in the morning, so you have a good and hearty appetite by breakfast. You do swallow the chewed seeds.
@@LalaNaidu Thank you for all your kind replies to my queries. The Ayurvedic morning and evening routines are lovely, as your videos demonstrate. Namaste.
What about an evening routine?
Please see this video > bit.ly/LalaEveRoutine
I hope it helps!
What about step 11
Are you referring to oiling of the ears? Maybe you know, but for others interested, this can be done by simply warming an Ear Oil or sesame oil to your body temperature, tilting your head, and using the dropper to place 1-2 drops in each ear, gently massaging it in. This can be very soothing but counsel with your doctor first as there are some contraindications like infections, water in the ear, etc. I hope that helps.
Can you please not stop?
Thank you sister, I manage a full practice too so I do what I can, though, I am very passionate about bringing Ayurvedic knowledge to the general public, as these tools have been transformative in my own life, and I feel we need to reclaim our power over our own health and selfcare.
What about students like me who don't have this much time 🥲?
I hear you. The beauty is that these practices end up saving you time and very likely extending your life. Through these practices, you will feel clearer, more alert, and more intentional about how you move about in your day. If you still feel overwhelmed with this list, start with 1-2 practices and see where that takes you. Keep me posted on progress. Warmly, Lala
@@LalaNaidu aww thank youu for the reply ❤I will keep you updated on insta for sure
