    Very professionally done. Reminds me of those educational videos they would show in school back in the day. I enjoyed those.

      Thanks for the kind words, man! I actually re-did the parts of this video where the text pops up onscreen. Originally I used the old method with that sort of messy looking parchment background. Decided to just remake those parts using the blur effect instead. Thought it seemed a little more "cinematic", so to speak.

    As Sirollus Saccus's repair hammer is sold as a respawning item you can use a glitch: Buy it, then sell it to him again. He will now have two hammers. Buy them, sell them again. He will now have 4 - and so on. Repeat until you have a convenient amount of hammers. The amount of respawning hammers sold by him will stay that high and apply for future shopping visits, too.
    By the way, Lyle, go and try Apel's Fire Replacer. :p

      This is actually kind of a personal hang-up that I have with fire in most games. It always pulls me out of the experience if fire effects look too real or too different compared to the rest of the game world. I actually kinda like the "fire in a spray can" effect here, haha

    Always thoroughly impressed with the detail you go into explaining all the formulae

    • @LyleShnub
      @LyleShnub  7 років тому +3

      Thanks, dude! I figure that if I'm going to throw a formula up onscreen, I should put in some work to understand it and explain it so the people watching don't have to do that. Usually it's not too tough. Though for some of the guides (enchanting), learning it and figuring out how to easily display info took more than twice as long as anything else, haha. It's good to hear from you again as well!

    Wow, that 2.0 modifier hammer I had no idea existed and I've played this game for years. I've just never had reason to go into that part of Ebonheart, and never sought out the Armorer master trainer since even in the 50s you get pretty good results with that skill.

    • @LyleShnub
      @LyleShnub  6 років тому

      True enough! Armorer is so easy to get started with in Morrowind that I don't think I've ever heard of anyone who plays using only blacksmith repairs

    • @classicalbets5184
      @classicalbets5184 6 років тому

      @@LyleShnub Actually me! I belive I've only fiddled with Armorer skill around 2004 when I first got the game, even since then I'm only repairing at the blacksmiths :D

    Do you think you'll ever do a video about mods?
    Like which one fixes things?
    Quality of life changes?
    Graphical enhancements?
    Or are you just focusing on vanilla morrowind videos?

    • @dontspikemydrink9382
      @dontspikemydrink9382 7 років тому +1

      The Foolish Noob ehh he is using an overhaul mod, so not exactly vanilla

    • @LyleShnub
      @LyleShnub  7 років тому +2

      I might some day, but it'll be a very long time from now. Problem is I'm just not very familiar with modding - or good at it, lol. Regardless, there's plenty of other good guides out there on modding Morrowind. I'm pretty sure the "STEP Project" is still kept up to date. Zaric Zhakaron had a super thorough video on modding too, though it's admittedly a few years old now. Not sure if it's still up to date like STEP is.

    There's something really weird about seeing an item named "Dagons Helm of Hotboxing" in an educational video.

    These videos are amazing! I played vanilla Morrowind goty around the time of release ... extensively. I considered myself a veteran , until now. I'm going back to it soon. Could anyone help me out with some mod recommendations to update it a bit? Also would I be ok to run a modded version on a laptop? Thanks!

      Adrian Shabafroozan Thank you for the kind words! I'm not terribly adept at modding myself, but I'd suggest looking up the Morrownd STEP project. It's usually celebrated for being pretty good

    The trouble with armoror is that there is no spell that you can cast that 'damages armor on self'. This was horrible when I found out about this.
    There is no easy way to level it up, other than trainers :(

    • @LyleShnub
      @LyleShnub  5 років тому

      Yeah, it's definitely a pain in the butt! You can sort of get around it by fortifying your strength extremely high and killing something with a melee weapon. The weapon will take a big hit to condition, even if you massively overkill something. Still, not as efficient as just damaging armor

    Can anyone give me any rarely talked about ,exotic weapons to add to my collection, something like frostgore

    • @LyleShnub
      @LyleShnub  7 років тому +1

      I'd try looking through this page on UESP: uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Artifacts
      Eventually, I plan on covering them all in individual videos, but unlike these mechanics videos, the educational parts will be taking kind of a back seat.
