    Looking forward to watching the other episodes of this, but being at the start of ownership, talking about the range of 80-100 miles real world range, what happens after 4 or 5 years when you've lost 5-10% battery capacity and its -2 degrees c so lose another 10% range with a cold battery, and heater on, you'll be down to 50 miles or so range? Is this realistic expectations of the Honda E?

      @manwithcorsae7738 3 роки тому +1

      @@MartinRisbyVR Hi Martin, you shouldn't count the battery rental as the same as fuel costs. If you look closely at it, the battery rental brings the cost up to the amount you would have to pay if you bough it outright. EG. My Zoe payments (previous car) per month were £224 + £90 (car +battery) = £314. MG (which is slightly cheaper) is £306. So in both cases fuel is above the cost of the vehicle. You then take into account that the average ICE fuel is 10p/mile when average EV is 1.5 to 2p/mile.

    I’ve watched the whole rural leaf series and looking forward to this one. Regarding the Honda dealership challenge I feel like it’s would be similar to testing how much weight a ballerina could lift - you’d be testing it on the task it is least capable at. It’s a great little car and probably brilliant at that but with that range it is a poor motorway vehicle. The compromises you’ll have to make will make EVs look bad.

      People are getting 6 miles per kW also and if one chooses a more energy-efficient driving mode, 150 miles is possible. I can literally get 83 miles out of a 60Ah battery (22kwh/18kwh usable) i3 that is 7 years old. Regenerative braking and keeping the accelerator pedal neutral is key.
