Recapping the Top 3 Finals callout from the 2021 Olympia, featuring: 1. Big Ramy 2. Brandon Curry 3. Hadi Choopan Don't forget to follow me on Instagram: / tomn8er1
I think Hadi Choopan is going to be this generation's version of shawn ray. He's someone who looks amazing in most of the poses, probably has the best midsection in today's lineup (of course mainly talking about open), always is consistent with his conditioning, and unfortunately gets overlooked by judges due to size alone and nothing else
Some poses are really about size, like the most muscular and side chest for example, also the rear lat spread if you're super wide (though some detail is required). Front lat spread kinda. Maybe that should be evaluated and smaller competitors should be allowed to win these shots easier even if they don't have as much size... seems too genetic structure focused to me.
This generation looks so smooth. It even seems as if the camera is blurry but it’s not..whatever these guys are doing, they are not conditioned like the competitors 10+ years ago. Where are all the razor cuts, the thin grainy skin..the hardness and striations? It’s almost a joke.
Front relaxed and side relaxed are def Ramy's. In these poses the most important elements are structure, size and balance, conditioning is secondary and Ramy has the least horrible balance (calveless but unlike Brandon he has proportionate thights) plus he is the widest by far why would arms matter, they are extended so not relevant, it would be like saying arms are crucial in the abs and thights, but Hadi is third nontheless, being the small. Side relaxed is also Ramy. Better pec thickness ribcage arch upper to lower body balance, and overall size still to him. ARMS DON'T MATTER IN A SIDE RELAXED. They are extended.
@@Tomn8er But the tricep there is flexed and is the focus of the pose, in the side relaxed arms are secondary compared to pec thickness and ribcage arch and balanced and size.
@@Tomn8er And the fact that structure and size are more important than prettyness is evidenced by the fact that Shawn Ray in 1994 was 4th in the symmetry round with 19 points after Dorian Kevin and Paul.
@@giganticitalianbodybuildin1584 I'll agree to that, but with how Ramy hits the pose twisting so much to the front, you can't even see ribcage arch and pec thickness properly. His midsection is clearly worse, and yes his legs are better but Brandon's legs are pretty good from the side too. I can see that one going either way though it's not like Brandon was killing him.
I'm gonna say it again - you can't judge the finer details and conditioning that much when the lighting is washed out and fucking dogshit. This is EASILY the worst lighting at the Olympia stage since the 200X's...
I agree! I’ve never been a fan of the lighting in these shows. Compare this to the shows in the 90s and it’s easy to see why the lighting is so horrible for these shows.
I think Ramy's conditioning was better than you can see in most poses. Look at 3:14 when he blocks the light, you can see his quads were absolutely diced, which then disappears because of the horrible lighting. You could make a case that the other guys would have the same problem, so nobody is getting an advantage, but I think the judges who see it in person can still call it best.
They need more downlighting to create a bit of shadow to better display the cuts but regardless I’m sure the judges can notice the details better in person compared to us looking at a video

I see where this is coming from , but I disagree with some of the judgement here , since it seemed to me like you were giving too much credit for conditioning at the cost of size , conditioning is very important indeed but size as well , to me this was about Brandon and Ramy , yes they weren't as conditioned but they were too big for Hadi .
I think Hadi's completeness (calves and forearms are apparently non-existent for judges by the way) gives him an edge when compared to Brandon's (lower body) and Ramy's flaws (lower back and lack of definition in the legs from the front). It was extremely close though.
Ramy looks so muck bigger than the other two. It looked like Ramy crashed the 212 category. His structure and muscle bellies are undeniable. Brandon needs to bring his legs up to compete with Ramy. Hadi needs to grow at least 3 people inches and his clavicles need to get wider.
Hadi Choopan is in good condition in terms of symmetry and body geometry. The shape of the muscles and the size of the muscles are very well proportioned to the size of the body. The gestures also show more details of the muscles in his figures. Unfortunately, due to the small size of her body, the judges ignore her body beauties. To be fair, Hadi should have been the champion of The Master Olympia.
I’m still perplexed to this day how Rami won. He looks like he’s about 4 weeks out from comp. 😭 Plus, (and maybe most importantly) his posing was not at the top of his game either. In multiple poses it looks like his delt symmetry is way off. However, I think it’s actually just because he is holding his arms at different heights. His triceps disappeared at times during side on poses, AND he decided to leave his lats at home for some reason. Brandon Curry was the best that day….and it’s pretty obvious too. I mean just look at him at 9:30….woah! He was just overall better. 🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦
Astonishing how after 20 to 30 years of evolution in training, diet, drugs and preparation etc, none of these physiques match the quality to those of the 1990s.
Sorry Curry has the most aesthetic physique out of all the top pros. He has a tiny waist yet he’s still a massive. A way prettier physique than Ramy and still awesome conditioning. I keep hearing his legs are a problem but I think they’re pretty decent. Give him one more inch on them and if he’s not winning more Olympias I call highway robbery.

When are the officials ever going to get their shit together and make a solid background so you can really compare physics to each other side-by-side???
The Classic division top guys seem to be overall more complete than the Open division
LMAO SO SHEW RUUFDSDYSUAUAU2V3
If Hadi wants to be the champ he has to learn English, unfortunately. People love Hadi, and no one cares our countries don't like eachother. But bodybuilding is mostly in the USA (not all but mostly), so he needs to get on that English. He's got the bod to win. Get a bit more thickness in the arms, back, and learn english, and he will be the champ, you watch.
No the judges should learn farsi😂
Heard people saying Brandon was robbed 😂 if anything he’s the only American, don’t think giving it to an Egyptian in America makes much sense honestly, well deserved Rami
💯 True.
Brandon is gonna be even more dangerous next year if he keeps improving
The problem is that he can't bring the legs up enough
@@lajuanjohnsonbtc9634 yeah, i feel like if he cant get anymore size but bring crazy separation with conditioning, he would have a greater chance
Probs down to Genetics tho
Flew here as soon as I saw this uploaded, started watching you about 3-4 years ago and I’m really happy you’re starting to get the recognition you deserve with your channel. Your analyses are always on point
I like Brandon physique the most
I see where this is coming from , but I disagree with some of the judgement here , since it seemed to me like you were giving too much credit for conditioning at the cost of size , conditioning is very important indeed but size as well , to me this was about Brandon and Ramy , yes they weren't as conditioned but they were too big for Hadi .
Height has nothing to do with bodybuilding. And Ramy is just a big blob.
Yeah…sure it doesn’t. Tell that to Breon and ALL the 212 competitors.
Brandon curry looks the best overall
Hadi wins with mandatories but Brandon wins with aesthetics
Brandon Curry has the better body shape
Ramy's biggest problem was his lats not flaring out like last year. They look downsized.
Brandon is gradually nearing early Phil heath levels of crazy beautiful physique.... He just has to work on the legs
I’m still perplexed to this day how Rami won. He looks like he’s about 4 weeks out from comp. 😭
Plus, (and maybe most importantly) his posing was not at the top of his game either.
🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦
Brandon should have won. Hands down
Astonishing how after 20 to 30 years of evolution in training, diet, drugs and preparation etc, none of these physiques match the quality to those of the 1990s.
Curry looks smoother than Ramy. Nothing appears tight nothing pops.
Hadi far better than both
1st Hadi
2nd Ramy ( only because of size )
3rd Nick
4th Brandon
5th Hunter.
Brandon arms are syntholic💉
Front biceps - Hadi
Front lat spread - Hadi
Side chest - Ramy
Rear biceps - Hadi
Rear lat spread - Hadi
Side triceps - Brandon/Ramy
Abs - Hadi
Most muscular - Hadi
This year judging was full of politics
Big Rami looks bloated to me. Not well defined and lacks conditioning and detail. Hadi looked the best to me overall. More defined, more conditioned, and Hadi’s back double bicep was explosive.
Hadi was robbed that night 🌙 😭😭 This is one of the reasons why I lost faith in the Mr. Olympia competition.
I think Hadi is a better overall Bodybuilder. He may be smaller but he looks well balanced and totally ripped. I hope as he keeps training he keeps gaining weight and size because if he does I don’t see him losing with extra size
you and all people Said bad thing Brooo , u not honest with urself
let's be honest Hadi was the best and n°1
Brandon ? he don't deserve even 3 Place
Raamy is huge and big but he didn't emprouve nothing .
Hady choopan should get champion because the detail and condition of his boy is unbeatable and I don’t think so any bodybuilder can bring this detail and condition of human body. Great man choopan.
big ramy all day every pose ramy dominated and hadi should have come second I can't belive they thought Brandon dwarfed hadi in size so dum.
Brandon Curry was robbed. He should have regained his title. His physic has the best mass and flow combination
Rami is huge, but his physique is a legit square lol…i wouldn’t wanna look like that… i’d take Curry
I am watching this in 2022 and it is incredible that Hadi packs on so much muscles on his small frame
I like ramys side shot but beyond that I really dislike the look of his physique. Brandon or Hadi wins this one
No idea how Hadi gets any placing with those delts. I know all these guys use this stuff but it should not show on stage. He is peeled everywhere else but has pointy, soft rear delts.
Conditioning will not be appreciated for athlete safety so size and shape matters much more
Hadi should have won! He's just better conditioned and has more than enough size to boot!
Ramy was the worst out of all three, just a big blob. People are too enamored with size!
he s too short .... cant win with this height .... he cant be better than lee priest ... lee priest never won
for me brandon did win
we way more flow,aestetic
But judges only want pure mass
Brandon was the clear winner ramy was great but Brandon was the winner and hadi was second
Brandon Curry -1
Choopan-2
Ramy-3
This ia corect!
Brandon curry easily better. Judges must be sick in the head
how can u analyse the show through thise camera ??
Bruh should have made indepth analysis....12 min video is too short
Great pose by pose analysis here bro. You probably do the best body part comparison of anyone on here. I sat at the judges table for 10 years in the NPC and you would do very well there.
Big Ramy all the way his sheer size blows every other competior away!
