Oh god why did I choose to listen to this at 1:00am when I am on my own I have to keep looking over my shoulder every 10 seconds, I have got a cat for company but hes fucked off outside. SOME FUCKING COMFORT HE IS!!
But the most alarming effects were the hallucinations. They would start with points of light, lines or shapes, eventually evolving into bizarre scenes, such as squirrels marching with sacks over their shoulders or processions of eyeglasses filing down a street. They had no control over what they saw: one man saw only dogs; another, babies. Some of them experienced sound hallucinations as well: a music box or a choir, for instance. Others imagined sensations of touch: one man had the sense he had been hit in the arm by pellets fired from guns. Another, reaching out to touch a doorknob, felt an electric shock.
I don't know if I love or hate this band. I mean, the music isn't exactly music, it's more creepy sounds. I think I like them, but I don't really know.
The vocal 'moans' after 2:12 - does anyone know if Ulver sampled someone's vocals and distorted them, or did they record that specifically for this EP themselves?
@@crippledbrainwave the whole teachings in silence album is amazing. They also have a collab album with sunn 0))) which is great. Their early black metal stuff is really good too but obviously very different.
So much rage... I have a suggestion, if you'd care to hear it. You could be a really grown-up little boy and ignore the others listening to it. Can you do that, yeah? Before you lumber me in with the "newest cool shit" crowd, I liked Ulver before Sinister. Bandwagon jumpers are a nuisance, yes, but so are those hellbent on showing the world that they were awes0me enough to like a band before it was cool. Just sit back, enjoy Ulver, and let others do the same.
Gotta love the youtube crowd, going up to people minding their own business and being assholes for no reason ;) Anyways, here to say it again: Great song :)
i listen to this while i workout just to remind myself how sick i am :) this aint scary its beautiful something different that ppl just dnt get because they just listen to mainstream gayness
2:07 That part when the calm music ends and that creepy one begins, while it changes to the family trapped in the car, fucking hell that was intense.
Two words: lawn mower.
Best part
There's literally nothing calming about this music.
This is what I call an extraordinary ambient music professional.
Nothing about this is ambient
2:07 I really love this transition ...

What weird music! It made the "Family BBQ" that more horrifying and bizarre!

Sinister has the greatest modern horror soundtrack of all time
Yes but only the Score with Ulver, Sunn O))) and Aghast

Sinister!! This is amazing.

Oh yeah, I remember where I heard this from now. While not a spectacular film it had some neat music choices.
Mmmm uhhh yuh ay ay.
Sinister....
2:10 onwards is just sickening and gut wrenching, the guys singing is just dark as fuck
What is he saying? Do you know? It sounds like, 'You will burn your family.'
Kat Just making noises, very unsettling noises.
Kat He's saying "You know I'm back, baby".
What do you mean sickening? Bro this is the song my dad used to play at the family BBQ

It's been 6 years now. Does something besides me bring you back?
This music made the film for me, so creepy!
Because parts of this song were used in the film.
Thank you, Steve. If anything Ulver has more fans.
Angel Rivera WHAT? Steven Brite?? You PREDICTED THAt OMG
Background music for nightmares
The vocals at around the 5 minute mark remind me of old Depeche mode for some reason.

I'd love to know what the heck the dude's singing at 2:10. My best guess is that he's saying "when you're happy".
