- This week, I got my fill of vitamin D and headed to the Spanish island of Tenerife for some Winter sun. I hope you enjoy this solo travel around Tenerife vlog. I stayed in South Tenerife in the Bahia Principe Fantasia hotel and resort ( trés fancy lol) and I had a swim up room. The area I stayed in was Golf del Sur, and it was a nice quiet spot for a Winter sun break.
Mount Teide, I booked my excursion through my hotel for the Mount Teide day trip. The trip was a full day and brought me to the village of Masca, through the mountains and then through Vilaflor.
La Gomera island day trip: I went on a jeep safari to the island of la Gomera from Tenerife with Tamaran. www.tamaran.com/en/activities...
The ferry took 40 minutes and arrived at San Sebastián de La Gomera. If you suffer from travel sickness, then beware that the roads are up and down, narrow, and the jeeps go fast at times.

I needed you sunny vacation. I’m in Ohio. So far today we had rain that turned into a inch of ice, then came the sleet, now it’s snowing. I keep going to my door and opening it because if I don’t it will be frozen shut. I already had to force the door open a few time because of the ice and snow. Enjoy the sun ☀️.!

I'm so glad to see you were away on one of your trips... I am just back from a 2 month trip to Australia...so good to get some sun on my skin and see my son and his wife and meet my beautiful grand daughter. If you ever get the chance you should really go...it was absolutely amazing.... for those pesky mosquitos and other bugs try using lemongrass oil or peppermint oil as they don't like it...my husband gets bitten loads but when he uses the oil he's fine. I loved corfu when I was there many years ago . Looking forward to catching up on all your videos that I've missed . Take care and stay safe xxx

Ooh, those bites are epic! I live in the tropics and use a little plug-in that takes anti- mosie mats...works like a charm or even citronella candles. The hotel should provide these things!! Just love your independent and adventurous spirit.💕

Aloe Vera is good for bug bites and scrapes & sun burns. My abuela used to make a drink out of it…I wish I had her recipe. Little aloe vera (savila) plants are called ‘pups’. 💚

Oh we've had snow for 2 days now in southern Missouri. Most snow we've had in a very long time. We had over a 40 degree drop in temp. This video has been wonderful 😊 to watch. It's so pretty there. Take care and have a good weekend 💞

Awh lovely...it looks amazing! I once taught a gang of teachers from that island. They came to do a teaching course in Cork and they were able to call me by whistle from halfway up Patrick's hill while I was standing on Bridge street below. They actually had a distinctive whistle for my name. Such an interesting culture!
I love going over to the islands in the winter season. La Gomera is beautiful. I worked in the Centro Medico in Valle Gran Rey, La Gomera for 3 years, it's a lovely memory to look back on.
