This was so delightful- and sentimental for me. Though I was never there during the Chelsea flower show, I actually met my late husband when I stayed in a bed and breakfast in Sloane Square- actually Culford Gardens- he was taking care of the hotel for his friends while they were on vacation, and we had tea. We corresponded for the next year by snail mail( this was still in the 70’s ) and eventually fell in love and married. I was American and we settled in Canada and had our family here. I even have a friend here who also had a tie to that area- her sister had a condo on the same street! I loved hanging out in Chelsea and on Kings Road- and Princess Diana and her friends were the Sloane Rangers!
I came to love flowers later in my life. I really appreciate them now. I am so proud that South Africa won a first prize this year for one of the displays. 👏🏼 Thank you for the beautiful footage 😊

Hi Catherine! I love this time of year and the best is seeing you with Mr C🤩 thank you so much for showing us all the gorgeous arrangements and the beautiful blooms. Hard to pick a favourite but I got all excited when I saw the bees on the alliums 🥰 I always love your alliums and I really need to plant some in my garden next year! I found the displays leaning towards "wilding" which suits my style (lazy gardener 😂). I try to keep the native plants when I can. Who can say no to free plants lol I just make sure they aren't invasive species. Hope your mum is on the mend!
I went to the RHS Malvern show a few weeks ago, and I definitely noticed Geums were everywhere, and things like foxgloves too - more whimsical/wild style planting. I also noticed a lot of the snowball viburnum too, but that might have just been because I never realised how cute they were before! Hope your mam's feeling better soon!

Hello Catherine , thank you for sharing your time in London for the CFS. The flowers and displays looked so beautifully done. It’s so lovely that you get a break every year to visit London and see Iwan too. The trees were lovely but trees, depending on the type of get very tall, and deep roots so that had to be taken into consideration as a garden matures. Alliums would be one of my choices even if not in style, and bees love them. The rose from the Bridgewater garden was stunning. I love a garden that is full and colorful. I guess that’s more cottage type of garden. Praying your mum is on the mend. I chuckled over her telling you to go get your Monty Don fix… one day maybe you will be lucky enough to meet him in person.,. Well done my friend. I ws away for a month due to my mum passing and trying to get caught up on your videos. You are a breath of fresh air. Enjoyed this so much. ❤❤❤

Lovely vlog! What a lovely short break-"ish" (because you were still vlogging . Which we are greatful for!). One day I hope to go there. I love the trees and whimsical planting... i have a tiny garden in the city I live.. i make it a green as possible with trees, bushes, shrubs.. mainly fruit bearing... then flowers in between... that come up all through the year!... love my garden.. still have plans.. it is cooler with all the green and shade in summer when we have 30°c + temperatures. Thanks for taking us along again. Ps. Can't you stay with Mr. C? You are friends! That would make your trip more budget friendly. Unless you like the "treat" of staying in a hotel of course. 29:35 shot.. green and fountain was very relaxing and serene.

Beautiful vlog- thank you. I really enjoyed seeing the street displays - 13:33 and 14:44 were lovely although there were so many other favourites. Glued to the BBC every evening to watch the RHS flower show but your vlog gave a different view. And you saw Monty! ❤️. We’re off to see Monty on tour in November- be weird to see him not in a garden setting. But he is great! 👍
I have that chair from the hotel but in brown with an exact footstool that is the same height as the seat of the chair. I sit on the chair to watch UA-cam. lol I just Loved the Winnie the Pooh set as Winnie is named after a province in Canada. On a side note, I hope your mom gets better soon... it is hard when the parent gets sick or hospitalized.

Beautiful vlog- thank you. I really enjoyed seeing the street displays - 13:33 and 14:44 were lovely although there were so many other favourites. Glued to the BBC every evening to watch the RHS flower show but your vlog gave a different view. And you saw Monty! ❤️. We’re off to see Monty on tour in November- be weird to see him not in a garden setting. But he is great! 👍

I have that chair from the hotel but in brown with an exact footstool that is the same height as the seat of the chair. I sit on the chair to watch UA-cam. lol I just Loved the Winnie the Pooh set as Winnie is named after a province in Canada. On a side note, I hope your mom gets better soon... it is hard when the parent gets sick or hospitalized.
