Hey man, I really appreciate you making an entire other video for English viewers. it's obvious you put an incredible amount of work into these videos and it definitely doesn't go unnoticed. Thank you, bro xx Ps. Love the idea of the bolero, definitely has potential for service!
danke, this gave me an idea for my personal armor, i cant easily get this as im from Singapore, all the way in south east asia, but youre helping me a lot. im not making a product, just taking this concept and adding it to some futuristic concept armor. das ist eine super Idee, danke!
Some years after bringing it to the market I have found a french guy who had the idea even some month or a year before me. But yeah ... it seems that no one brought it to the market. The closest one is the one by Crye. But yeah, thats insulation and not combat shirt. Danke :)
There's a very similar set up for ghillie suit that had webbings where you could just grab the brushes around and stick them in the webbing. This also had a hood with webbings as well. So, I guess it's not that new?
Jack the Stripper Not sure if similar means that it is the same. But yeah, there are similarities. But the crye is not ment to be a combat Shirt. Yeah, in the ghillie world this idea was around for while. And in the Zivil world also. That’s where I got the name for it from. If we go into such things: Is there anything new at all? And how do we define new? For me the idea of making a combat shirt in that way was a new way to use the Bolero idea from Ghillies and Zivil world for tactical/military all day application.
Hi, thanks for that english speaking video. Yesterday it wasn't good for me because I've only could understand the subs (and so bad youtube subs). Keep sharing this type of stuff, gear, ideas, and ENG if it's possibly... Thanks again
Omg I literally had this idea to sew my own just like this top portion “cap” like this. I thought it wouldn’t work well but you totally got it down with that cord lock! Nice work! I’ve been trying to find a piece that would be water proof across the shoulders and this is exactly it! Way to go!
I think that's a much better solution than an arming shirt. The end users only have to worry about having practical under shirts, and their prescribed bush jacket. When operating with armor, they can just wear the bolero in the place of their bush jacket, unless the brush is thick enough that you need the entire jacket. Where as with an arming shirt, you either need to keep them in addition to their undershirts and bush jackets, or have matching kuttes to mimic the look of a bush jacket so as to vaguely approximate being "in uniform" when not wearing armor. For paramilitaries and police who don't work out in the bush an arming shirt might actually be better though because they'd benefit from the simpler system. However they should probably use nomex flight suits instead, which can be modified for ground operators in many ways fairly easily.
If you made this in gortex you'd have my money in a heart beat. You mentioned the crye half jacket but that's just insulation. A gortex shell that could be donned on the move over body armour that didn't cover up the mags, comms etc on the PC would be perfect. Putting on gortex under plate carriers often ends up being too hot it isnt always easy to find a good time to take off all your kit to change your top when you are out there LARPing hard.
I genuinly love this concept. And the fact that it is an actual product. The only thing I feel might be an issue is the way the Bolero has elastic band cutting into the armpits. It looks uncomfortable in that region to me. Thinking about it... this reminds me of a viper hood and in a new generation of your product (mk3) you could perhaps have a good look at how those fit everyone but without an elastic band underneath the armpits. The arm cutout on a viper hood is really low and infact the cut on a regalar combat shirt is also low (where the ripstop material ends). Still a crazy cool product though!
In a different direction, but if you could make such a thing in a waterproof material, it would be a great supplement to a rain poncho, when biking around. Often the arms are exposed, specially if it is windy and a "belt like thing / strap", is used to keep the poncho in place on the bike? Or when doing some work with the poncho on, exposing the lower part of the arms? Maybe mostly for civilian users, students and so, instead of a more expensive rain jacket, still getting good ventilation from the speed / wind? Just a thought? If it is? :o)
Cool, thanks for ENGlish version! But I always have a question about pockets so high - I usually try to leave them empty, because, if full, these pockets would restrict usage of tourniquet. And that is a potential death sentence. Have you thought about that? Is there enough room to have full pockets and still use tourniquet?
You are welcome ;) It depends on how full you pack the pockets. But I haven't seen one adding so much gear inside, that a TQ will not work anymore. TQ high up should work all the time ;)
Hey man, I wanted to get the tactical bolero, but the link you have on the description is broken. So, I guess the gen 1 is gone now. When will you be releasing the gen 2 bolero in other patterns? Would there be multicam tropic?
How does the sizing work with these? I am 1.94m tall and relatively lean. I don’t like it when my sleeves are too short but also don’t want too much room in general. Which size would you recommend for my body size?
"Two way zip" is the term you are looking for. We had a German family living next door to us, and years latter, when visiting them, we played a game of Dictionary or such, and I was getting mad at Tuki, the daughter, as she said she did not know some of the words. How could she not, her English was perfect, so she must be a native speaker. No, she learned English as a child, but had not used it much since.
The zipper dann not be opened from both sides 😇 So I am quite sure “two way zipper” is wrong. Google translate translated the German word to diversible zipper. Hehe, sound like a good game.
Nice. But I think I'll keep using WWII german reversible smock (I just dislike camo that ''fits everywhere'' I don't intent to fight/hunt/play airsoft/etc. everywhere, but I also like to have more options if I limit myself to camo for specific environment because in Europe environment changes with seasons, and for that reversible smocks are probably the best choice, also they are very light and not tight-fitting which means little to no sweating and they can be water-resistant). I might buy it one day just to test out how it fits ergonomically, but as far as camo goes... it would be great if this would be reversible with 2 patterns specific for seasons.
I like the idea and execution. Great solution for wearing a plate carrier and matching the base shirt to the weather conditions. There are many examples of when you want a cool breathable shirt but more rugged sleeves and shoulders. I hated most combat shirts because you would overheat and/or have dehydration issues due to sweat in hot weather. The alternative was to wear a very light short sleeve shirt but then lose abrasion and brush resistance on your arms. Not a huge fan of elastic, under harsh conditions it breaks down and is no longer elastic. Is it replaceable or could it be configured so it is field replaceable? Then it becomes a wear part that is replaceable instead of a failure point that would greatly reduce the effectiveness of the concept. That is the only downside I can see. Should do well in the US, pretty big population that own plate carriers and many places that get hot enough to make a typical combat shirt very unpleasant.
I get the idea behind the neck being that high but it's not something I want on a combat shirt, a jacket/parka or some other covering sure but on a combat shit it's just uncomfortable and gets in the way
Danke. Das kommt primär auf deine Armlänge an. Aber L könnte evtl. sogar reichen. Ich für meinen Teil trage in diesem Video auch L und bin 1,92m groß. Jedoch passt mir XL von dem Armen her besser.
i thing it is like half kapkan half combat shirt and i like it you r soo cleaver guy i m following you from the beginning good job :) but probably i cant buy :(
Can't see the point of it. There are already under armour shirts. To me another person with far too much time thinking up stuff that isn't needed. KISS. In general there is to me far too much departmentalising going on with uniforms and packs, or in other words too many pockets. Too many features all adding more weight and constriction. If you are working hard then you don't need much clothing. If you stop working then you will need to add layers. Bar a few essential basics, kit should be in the webbing fighting order, or a pack. Sorry not convinced.
You can change the shirt underneath quite easy or wear a sirt you like. Like wool or functional shirts. But if you are okay with normal combat shirts and their fabric, than the Bolero will propably not be a good idea for you. But nevertheless thank you for your feedback.

Tactical stripper collar with sleeves??
Definitely getting one
In my German video I combined it with my favorite stripper net shirt for fetish parties. Works perfect 👌🏻
How much does it cost?
Is it Fire Retraned?
i realize Im quite off topic but do anybody know a good website to stream newly released tv shows online ?
@Jedidiah Elijah i use Flixzone. You can find it by googling =)

I literally have the same idea like 4 months ago. For sure this new concept should be taken seriously. Greetings mein Freund.

It’s similar to the Crye Half-Jacket
There's a very similar set up for ghillie suit that had webbings where you could just grab the brushes around and stick them in the webbing. This also had a hood with webbings as well. So, I guess it's not that new?
Gringo Amigo Russian snipers have had that style of ghillie for ages.

Some of us were doing this sort of thing to our combat shirts back in the 1980s. Funny what's old is new....

Light colors are mid. Ww3 will be in European superior land. We are superior. DEUTSCHLAND. Dark colors are superior in Europe

That is very innovative. Well done.
Great stuff

Question, will the Bolero 2.0 eventually be offered in multicam? This is an awesome idea!
Nice 👍🇬🇧
Love the content

Was it cold outside or were you just happy to see us?
I was happy to see YOU.
I get the idea behind the neck being that high but it's not something I want on a combat shirt, a jacket/parka or some other covering sure but on a combat shit it's just uncomfortable and gets in the way
It is easy to fold it out of the way.
I really like it that high.
Why not arm pockets at the elbow like the British? it certainly is a superior ergonomic design
The new Bolero has got them ;)
@@ripperkon why do you think the US retains a backwards and inferior design then? Please your take on this
