I remember the week i bought my first combat shirt before going to the field, had the older turtle neck...cost me $80. Only to go to the field and my supply sgt said "oh ya we were gonna offer you a new combat shirt but you already got one \_(•~•)_/"
I was issued the older one and it was fine…the turtleneck didn’t bother me at all cause it is a tall neck. Just enough to keep your kit from rubbing you raw.
