Beautiful watch. I was looking at one too. I was disappointed that the movement finishing on this limited addition model isn’t any better than the mass produced version. It would have been wonderful to see them step it up.
Thank you, and you have a point. the least they should have done is a gold rotor just to make the movement feel a little more special. Apart from that, absolutely love the watch.
Thank you and indeed on the date window. however the legendary status of the movement is it being an integrated automatic chronograph with a column wheel. It does hide the beauty of the parts, but it’s why it is one of the most iconic movement ever.
They had the handwind versions... I guess these were not that much valued, today the pre-owned ones are listing for relatively small price, around 2500$
wow- definitely on my radar now- I have a very wealthy friend in Switzerland and wondering if I can blag a manufacture if they can get there in person, but actually think I prefer the rose gold version, is gorgeous...
Thank you! Completely agree on the white gold, but unfortunately all sold out in 2019 and virtually impossible to come by pre owned. Saying that, absolutely love it in rose gold. Still brings a smile to my face when I wear it 😎
Gorgeous watch one of the best looking watch ever especially in rose or white gold. I want one but not sure it will still be available when i will be able to afford it... 50 pieces will sell very quickly sadly.
Thank you for this video, showing a truly unique El primero model, and congratulations on such a rare catch. Month ago I bought a brand new steel El Primero 1969 38mm version at a local boutique. I wonder what is the accuracy of your piece? Mine shows some instability per day, it went from 0 s/d in first two weeks to ca. 2 s/d in the last week. I guess the rate is not as stable as seen on Rolex and Omega watches. Actually I do really like that date window at 4 o'clock, it breaks the symmetry and adds to the dynamics of the watch. The 6 o'clock date on a 42mm looks too generic. As for the regular case, it is perfect for me, and I checked many other models from other brands. In my opinion Zenith did one of the best designs both for the case and the dial on the market, and this was a final deal maker for me. As for the movement itself, notice the blued screwes and that column wheel is blued as well. I did not notice on other competing brands the blueing of screwes in that extent. Zenith crafted a really outstanding model, and movement.
Completely agree. The brand also has such unique history, plus the tri-colour dial was a bold move by the brand. But that is zenith, they like to push the boundary. I always wanted the 1969 38mm version, I still love that watch. However when I was told this was available (price was a stomach churner) but it’s was too unique of an opportunity to pass up. I may still add the SS 1969 38m to the collection. That’s how much I like the watch you have. Wear it in good health 🙌🏽
Thank you! I think J&Co make some amazing highly complicated watches, although the designs are a bit too flashy for me. Can not fault the workmanship though
I hate to gush, but this is probably the most beautiful gold watch I’ve ever seen. Your collection is really superb. Really enjoying the binge
Thank you! 🙌🏽. Really appreciate the kind words.
I recently discovered this brand and I’m a fan. Thanks for the review!
It’s a really historical brand. Thank you for watching 🙌🏽

Great review and nice to see the total package. The 100 years anniversary invitation is a time capsule moment.
Thanks 🙌🏽. Indeed the 100 years will be for my grandkids. Let’s hope they don’t pawn the watch off for something far less valuable!
Excellent purchase! Enjoy your watch.
I appreciate that you wear the glove doing this kind of unboxing video. Nice watch indeed!!!
Thank you, and thank you for watching. Only problem with the gloves is I feel like a snooker referee!
Read my mind about the date window, anyhow congratulations.
You have one of the best collections i'd seen among many collectors. Great work and keep it up! Good luck:)
Thank you so much! Watch this space a few more incoming in 2021 🙈
instablaster...
The whole package is amazing
Robert Cavalli video/pics do not do it justice. Will try and take a few better photos on my Instagram
Very enjoyable, well filmed and excellent content.
Thank you for the kind words, and thank you for watching!
Spot on, your opinion about the date window. And mine opinion, i would love to see this watch as a handwinder..! Beautiful watch.

Honestly, I smile when I wear it. Zenith got this so right. However the manufacture edition is super cool as well. Good luck
superb video man, keep it up!
Thank you 🙌🏽
That’s a great piece I would take the white gold it’s more under the radar

Thank you. Yes I believe all are now sold now. I think the odd one does come up on Chrono24, although going for over retail unfortunately.

I should have come with deployment class really feel that
That’s fair
Great watch I love it :), maybe you can deliver a few more steady macro shots
Thanks TDE! will do
beautiful
Thank you!!
Absolutely gorgeous watch. What are your thoughts on Jacob and Co watches may I ask?
Thank you! I think J&Co make some amazing highly complicated watches, although the designs are a bit too flashy for me. Can not fault the workmanship though
Really cool watch, I also tried to get the manufacturer edition in Dubai, but they wouldn't get it like you said only at the factory in Le Locle :(
Thank you. I think It’ll need to be a trip to the factory!
Tough I had the el primero in rosegold, same as yours, but not not anniversary version. But my watch had the date window at six o'clock
Very nice, and that would be the 42m which I think works for the date, but not the 38mm
Lugs is a problem in Elprimero its sharp and not sitting properly on the wrist
It is definitely a unique case design, but that adds to the character for me.
@@watcherofwatches1969 ok, what about the service time, I means after 2-3-4 years
@@ChatMasala it says every 2/3 on the warranty card. Thankfully for this watch free service and warranty is for 50 years!
Grail level
It’s a special piece! Thanks 🙌🏽
