You have successfully done what very few content makers provide. You have not made this look one bit easier than it is. Your work on the super budget and your work as a true reality content provider is top notch.
thanks man I appreciate that... it was always the goal of the channel, specifically with the model t, was to get in there and show the failures and time sucks that i didn't get to see watching American hot rod and stuff on discovery.... its nice to hear that i have not lost that as I have gotten a little better at making more entertaining videos(hopefully)
Doesn't matter if you're doin truck stuff or shop repairs, I watch because of character. I see how hard you work to not only fix this stuff, but to also make it watchable. One of my favorite notifications to get anymore.
that means a lot, I am working hard at it but enjoy making the videos... i appreciate the feedback ... its always a bit of a bummer when a video comes out and immediately loses one or two subscribers based on the subject (especially if its something I love like the model t) its nice to hear that that someone just likes the show

Great job on the roof. You saved a ton of money doing it yourself. I re-built my 24’ x 10’ carport including doing two new posts and a metal roof system. I had about 400 bucks in materials when I was done. The guy that remodeled our kitchen and family room had quoted me 10 times that much to do it. Great content.
You did a great job man! You are like me, I dont know how to do alot but I learn as I go and have fun doing it. Just be careful up on those roofs by yourself.
I have loved the whole transformation process of this shop it’s very cool I was thinking once you got towards the end of finishing her up a power washing and taking all the vines off the side would make it look 10x better
I am surprised that while you were up there, you didn’t use that Sauzal to trim back those vines and tree limbs that were hanging over something you can do yourself.
man eyes on the prize, there was zero spare time while i was on that roof for 3 days... if it wasnt going to make the garage water tight... it was not on the list. i can climb up there and prune whenever, with more appropriate tools, but none if it was going to do much for the tree that extends 25 feet above the garage... gotta be careful of the whileyurinthere syndrome... but yea I could have
hey man thanks for noticing... it really really slows things down...plus like 8-10 hours of editing.... I am enjoying the process, and the feedback, and the channel growing a little bit... but there are times when you are standing on a roof for the whatever day in row and you just want to hustle through and get it done
Two BIG Thumbs UP ! You've got a Hell of a Lot of ENERGY, my friend ! You could certainly out work me; but I'm probably twice your age ! BTW: Saturday, I got a letter from the city to clean up my rusty junk! One man's junk is another man's treasure... so they say. PS I'll pay your plane ticket, if you come up here and HELP ! ! ! ...Newk from Kentucky
Nice job so glad you did it right and did not just sheet over the preexisting sheet metal. Do you not have any friends that could have helped? Just wondering, very impressive you pulled it off alone.........Thanx for sharing 🔥🔥🔥❤️👍🏽💯
That Ivy Tree I'm sure you can use a pole saw even a gas powered pole saw to trim it up I would show you how to do it, i use to trim tree's but I'm retired from tree's do to age. But a pole saw is your best bet
That metal is not like shingles as you don’t stick to it like you do with shingles. Congrats you did it and did an awesome job plus saved yourself thousands!
you can get rough cut lumber at a local saw mill cheaper than a box store. and if you ask around you will find individuals with smaller saw mills that can help you on that also
thanks man.... i wish i knew how it all worked, I have been putting out 2 videos a week lately... but i have no idea how the great big computer machines does the recommendations
Thank you very much, its a big help. there will be a lot more on the shop... and we haven't even begun to unpack the house on the property... there is a lot more to go
17:39 Do I spy some new fencing , windows, and doors? New, good used? And as always, thanks for bringing us along on this job/ repair with many side quests.
Yeah! Don't dump the rusty scrapped sheets... some Rodders use that sh8t to make their shops look gnarly... And they finish their projects by the end on their videos... I'll get my hat! lol, seriously... Very well done, again. Top work and as another poster put it, you're showing the true reality of getting work like this completed with constraints of resources, time and spon-doolies! Onwards!!!
Well used material often has a lot of holes. But it’s a hell of a deal. That just didn’t make the edit cause the video would been 20 hours long. But thanks for watching so closely

Someone would like to purchase that old roof from you. It prolly won't buy a whole new roof but it may put a little dent in it well, not the roof but the price of the new one.
@@betweenthesharksgarage Just thinking about it, you might want to reuse that old roofing on another building on the property. Not as the top layer but instead of roof sheeting.

I have put on metal roofs before, and I know it's hard work. You did a great job. Looks fantastic.

wow …be glad it’s over!! excellent progress and saved thousands, I’m sure ✌️
yea man, it was hard... but worth it
Where you have holes in the sheet, put some wood underneath and use the screws to seal the holes. It’s better than tape
Looks awesome
thanks man
I drive for amish metal roofing guys they cut the edge with snips step on it and rip the metal straight across. It really works👍👍
we just have southern baptists around here... not a lot go gettum when it comes to roofing
Enjoy your shows ! Ty for working hard to get the videos out!
thanks for watchin 'em
Well done, that was hard work!
I can't see the top of the tree but consider sawing it off above the roof and below. I see people do it with their Sawzall.
I have loved the whole transformation process of this shop it’s very cool I was thinking once you got towards the end of finishing her up a power washing and taking all the vines off the side would make it look 10x better

You should silicon around the screws so water doesn’t filter through.
i didnt really specify but they are screws designed to go through metal into wood with a rubber gasket/washer
Should have put sheets of plywood on that roof and then lay the tin roof over that
Your an animal, great work sir.
lol thanks dude
That first panel u put up I literally seen a row of holes where u screwed it down and took it back up. If that ain’t a leaking point idk what is.

Thought I saw some sun peeking through holes at the end .... From the used metal ? Assuming your going to fill them off camera ?
it is from the used metal.. good eye.. all holes were filled but did not make the edit... was about as exciting as watching paint dry
Nice job on that roof Ryan did you have the blade reversed in your saw?
i did man... i think it would be way more better on 29 guage... but everything else i tried worked better
