I am a 46 year old man from Belgium and i visited the USA last month and i was shocked about the freedom you have there. I am subscribed to this channel since a long time and now i understand the feeling you must have living in small town New England. The freedom is worth much more than the amount of money people can make.
Theres not a day that passes that I dont think about all the sacrifices made from others to give me what I have today, I never waste a day for if I waste a day, its a kick to those that gave everything they had for me to have the ability to waste.
I’m glad to hear you find America a place you like. I had 2 friends from Belgium. They are no longer welcome in our home as they disrespected our flag and national holiday when they were visiting us and had a place to stay free. They toured Chicago and other places and always had negative things to say. Brutal. They are government employees in Belgium. They brag about all the free stuff they get from their gov. They make fun of our national anthem. He’s a cop and she works for their Brussels local government!! I never want to visit there. It was sad to see such disrespect. It’s just like Canada. Such a terrible gov there. Look how they treat Jordan Peterson. I’ll stay here in The UsA. It will be an even better country now Biden and Harris is out!! Our country was on the wrong track !!!

@@cynthiahackett1956 my first time in America was in 1994 and we came back a couple times but the last time was 1998. I appreciate all the intro scenes where you show your mistakes like the nail through your finger. Even the most experienced makes goofs from time to time. You kept it real.
Consider installing a built in temp controlled gable end fan. You’ll need to run power to it. They are worth their weight in gold. Don’t need to run a thermostat because they’re built in. Set them where you want. They come on at that point and they’ll exhaust all the hot air/ humidity in your shop. I’ve had them in my shops. Golden!
I’m pretty sure I’ve watched every video for the past 4-5 years, and this is one of my favorites. A start to finish building video of a fantastic space 👍🏻
Love the transformation! We built our shed on a concrete pad around 10 years ago to prevent any kind of rot around the bottom. It's been a great build for the most part. So far we've only needed to replace a fascia board where the drip edge was somehow touching it right where a knot was. It rotted all the way through. We've decided to cover all the fascia boards with aluminum as well since they are a favorite of carpenter bees who lay eggs deep in them and pileated woodpeckers come and destroy everything trying to get to the larvae. That has happened on our porch and porch steps in several places. Had to build another set of stringers and steps this past summer. We need to replace our entire front porch roof structure thanks to the carpenter bees and woodpeckers. Hope you recover with your back. Back injuries are no joke!
Paradise on earth. The montage and the narrator the vibe and feel and scenery if this video reminds me of "outer banks". He even has the Volkswagen bus. And the building with his wife reminds me of the "notebook".
You are an amazing story teller. I’ve been watching this channel for years and this might just be my first comment. You were born to tell stories - be it through music, videography, art, diy or even ad reads. There’s something on this channel for everyone, I recommend this to my friends and family and they are hooked too. I’m from Scotland but it’s easy to feel like I’m right there in New England when I press play on these videos. Your work is fantastic. Everything you are doing is exactly what you were put on this planet to do. It’s so, so good Kyle. Great work.
WOW!!! You knocked it out of the park! I'm a girl, but I'm a tool kind of girl. I have my own 'she shed' for my tools, but it isn't near as cool as that. You have done an amazing job on the property and I have enjoyed watching every minute of it. As a creator of things, I love watching other people make their own vision a reality. I can't wait to see what you do to the house! A year from now no one would ever even recognize the old place. Congrats!!!
You did a wonderful job everything‘s looking very nice I felt your pain when you put that finish nail through your finger I experience putting in carpet using a staple gun a three-quarter inch staple through my finger that went through the bone and they had to keep me overnight they said for infection sake I am glad you’re OK your demeanor and the way you carry yourself is very calming thank you for sharing be safe God bless
Thanks for the inspiration! I have a 80 year old corn crib on our farm that we bought 4 years ago. The middle section is 16x 24 enclosed with two lean-tos on each side. The sill plate on the back side sat on limestone footings (similar to your shed) and is completely rotted out. I've been just putting off fixing it, but I want to turn into our farm shop. This was the inspiration I needed to get to work on it. Cheers!
I love this. I recently built a similar project. Mine was a small sleepout but I had many of the same challenges re porch deck, roofing, insulation, windows etc. It also made me feel better as a fellow DIYer that you made some mistakes (or learning moments!) - as often on UA-cam we just see the perfect outcome and none of the issues that are often the reality - it was great to see you persevere through these setbacks and deliver an awesome project that will give you great ROI for years to come. (Although I didn't take any pleasure from your injuries!!). Great channel, great videos - keep living the dream!
Yeah in English! Thank you! Now I will rewatch! Great job on the shed ! You definitely learned some important skills renovating the shed! Harper is definitely the star 🌟 of the show! Please be careful around mold. I have developed CIRS & mass cell from mold in my home & you never want these conditions they are quite painful. Michael Rubino on Utube explains what mold does to indoor air🙏🙏🙏Blessing’s
It's wonderful to see how far you've come over the years with hard work and perseverence. The construction stuff is great to see in between the other episodes. Every man should have a tool shed and work on old vehicles - it's character building!
It looks great but I have one important detail to warn you about. You need at least one collar tie in the center. You took out way too many of them (36:00). With a heavy snow load the weight on the roof will push out the walls. If you remove every other one and double up the ones remaining it will be solid. If you don't fix this you could have a major problem.
Beautiful, love the drive through carport. Given how much snow you get I would consider doing a gate on each end that can open all the way to the wall. That way in the deep winter you can close both gates and keep the things you store dry.
WOW and BRAVO !! You did it. It's so beautiful, I thought you were going to use it as a studio. You and Allie have a lot of perseverance and you are an example for young people to follow.
The editting on this is phenominal! I'm sitting here baked taking it all and it feels like I'm watching a Wes Anderson movie. The incorporating of the sound track into each changing scene is next level.

Kyle, this was a fantastic project! Your imagination and creativity have made for a wonderful work space! Just awesome! Looking at the end, everything is so well organized and in its space! Just wicked!
Congratulations! What an accomplishment. And thank you for sharing. FYI for the back, I ruined my back flipping houses and had to have a spinal fusion. Now, I don't do anything without my back brace (I have several) and wish I had known about them 20 years ago. They are controversial; some PT's don't think they should be used because they make you forget about the other stuff like lifting with legs, etc. But from my experience, they raise my awareness of how I'm moving my body and provide the extra support my spine needs. Take care and blessings to you and your endeavors.
This comment was well thought out, pros and cons. My experience in health field are back brace is better option to prevention. Movers use them all the time, professional ones any way. Hope Kyle saw this:)
I’m so impressed with this video. Wow Kyle. I wish one of my 3 sons would have your ambition and courage to learn how to repair and work on things in their homes. Truly you are remarkable. Sorry about your back 😩😭😭😭
The shed looks amazing! You did such great work. But that nail through the finger and your back...owww! Time for some well-deserved rest after all of this.
Awesome job! Both of you are amazing. I was sorry to see all of the injuries. That nail through the finger had to really hurt. Being a fellow north-easterner let's get some good snow, get a little cross country skiing in and dream of our Spring 2025 projects. Happy Holidays!
I suffered my first major back injury when I was 30 living in Montana and slipped bigtime on thick ice one winter. I had a herniated lower disc that put me out for weeks. I then suffered other lower back muscle spasms and once you have that major back injury it just seems to never recover. My lesson learned was that we are all NOT invincible no matter how young you are and to just learn to be much, much more careful, especially the older you get. I'm now in my early 60's and won't even consider living in harsh winter climates anymore. I live in AZ where there is next to never any snow in the winters😎 I love your vlogs!
Wow Kyle! Super impressed at the transformed OLD shed. Looks gorgeous and a labor of love and dedication for all you do. Love your positivity, but OUCH for that nail through your finger. Could almost feel it! 😱 Blessings and congrats to you and Ally for all you’ve accomplished at the A frame this year. 👏👏🍁🍁👍👍
Good work young man. My son builds furniture from scratch so I appreciate the difficulties you went through. You can do anything you set your mind to, just never give up. Peace.
Super awesome. Don’t be afraid to put hooks in the wood walls. It’s just wood. Nothing better than walking into your shed with all those tools displayed on the walls.
I can’t wait until I see the house transformed. I’m impressed how you organized your tools as well. A wife’s dream. It never will happen in my home ugh 😩
What a great feeling you get when you take on and then complete a project like this. Great job. I have a similar 12 x 16 shop on my property which was here when we bought the house 24 years ago. It was my re-do as well, but not to the extent yours was. Still very rewarding. It's my go to place.
Another amazing project. Just on a side note. Amy and I finally took a drive to visit your friend at the Lonesome Woods store in Bethlehem,NH. We had a wonderful conversation. You’d be amazed at how many people in that area know about you and your story. Oh you need to restock your coffee blends there lol he was all out. Seems like you have a great following on your coffee. Can’t wait to one day run into you again.
Wow!! Did I saw wow? WOW!!! Love to have something like that as a writing studio with a little wood burning stove. Love it, Kyle. I was a little frustrated watching the glazing process. I was a glazer for 10 years in my twenties I just wanted to reach in there with a can of putty and a glazing knife 10 minutes on each window done! Did hundreds of them. Great outcome, great job, great video, loved the music selection. And Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃 🍻 💪👍
HI 👋 HOPEFULLY YOU ARE FEELING BETTER TAKES AWHILE FOR THAT TO GET SOME WHAT BACK TO THE NORM ! TURNED OUT REALLY BEAUTIFUL. Hello Kyle. Through blood, sweat, and tears, your work shop came out awesome. You and Ally have become quite the craftsmen. Can't wait until the A-frame is done. Happy Thanksgiving.
Thank you your story I put a link onto truth social For work is so profound . All America is like this shed and you are showing real workmanship and HOPE
You're quite a talented craftsman!!! Amazing work! we had an old large shed on our property, I wish we would have restored it instead of tearing it down.
Thank you guys for another amazing video! The shed is prettier than my house, I love the wood work. I love where you guys live. Y’all have made it a mansion. ! I hope I live long enough to visit that part of the country one day.
Happy Thanksgiving. I am praying for your poor, overworked back and your safety. You only get one back, and you pay all your life in pain for one measly mistake or misjudgement. Fantastic work.
Beautiful job! Your attitude is inspiring and you weathered the setbacks and rework in a great way! I know you guys are really proud of the end result.
This was so well edited! I thoroughly enjoyed this video Kyle. I’ve been looking forward to the end of phase 1 of this project for awhile. I hope your finger is okay!
🤠🧔 Thank you for the excellent video. I have watched y'all since the beginning of the homestead. The shed looks amazing. Have a wonderful December. ❄️ Cajun greetings from coastal Mississippi 👋
And that’s why you ALWAYS carry your Leatherman! I don’t know how anybody gets thru the day without one. Nevermind when rebuilding your homestead. Yanked a lot of finish nails out of coworkers. Always makes for an interesting day. Unplanned septic work is no picnic either. Feel ya there.

That was a wonderful restoration. Finding the rough saw marks and having the vision to keep them is amazing.
I wish I had a shed to restore.

That has to be the nicest tool she'd in all of the Berkshires. Great job, Kyle. Happy Thanksgiving to you and Ally.
That was definitely unexpected, I didn't think I'd see a nail going through a finger in the first 2 mins of the video

You have done a brilliant job with your shed…l actually love watching you and Ally rebuilding your home and garden.
It's wonderful to see how far you've come over the years with hard work and perseverence. The construction stuff is great to see in between the other episodes. Every man should have a tool shed and work on old vehicles - it's character building!
Wow beautiful shed now for getting work done,
continually amazed by your work ethic and dedication to difficult projects. Maybe you'll inspire me to finally fix the gutters on my house
I love the high tech dead bolt paired with the single pane glass windows
It looks great but I have one important detail to warn you about. You need at least one collar tie in the center. You took out way too many of them (36:00). With a heavy snow load the weight on the roof will push out the walls. If you remove every other one and double up the ones remaining it will be solid. You can achieve anything if you believe you can... @you Did,,,, happy thanksgiving hugs to YOU@ALI @those cute kitties 🤗🤗🤗🤗🙏💖
Every time that blue ford was in frame, my smile got bigger. I love old trucks😅
The editting on this is phenominal! I'm sitting here baked taking it all and it feels like I'm watching a Wes Anderson movie. The incorporating of the sound track into each changing scene is next level.
The shed is beautiful, job well done, glad you persevered and didn't give up! ❤
Kyle, That shed is gorgeous. You did an absolutely wonderful job. I am just an old lady from Wisconsin, who doesn't know a thing about construction, but I know what I like❤❤❤🎉🎉😊
👍🏻👍🏻for a great job. Thanks for sharing with us Kyle. I hope you are healing well. So proud of you and Allie. Appreciate you keeping it real. Stay safe. Love and Prayers For All ♥️🙏🏻🙏🏻
I always appreciate how you film your videos. They are always framed beautifully
Go Kyle !!
You & Ali have done Amazing things this summer!! 😊 organizing is key !!
Yes it’s just a shed but so inspiring to watch! You should be so proud of yourself!
I live in the interior of the state of São Paulo / Brazil. I love your videos and I eagerly await the new ones because they give us a feeling of peace, nature and freedom. I also always share them with my children and friends : ))
Congrats Kyle! So awesome to see the progress of the shed and all that you and Ally have accomplished! Harper got so big!
I love ALL of your videos. Especially the poetic, storytelling with amazing visuals. But I REALLY enjoyed watching this come together. I love your effort that you put in to turning something rotten, literally, into something to be proud of.
I love seeing the before and afters of your property.
Superb Kyle! I am nearly finished with a whole 2nd floor reno in my own home, and this is some good inspiration to finish it up!
Kyle, this was a fantastic project! Your imagination and creativity have made for a wonderful work space! Just awesome! Looking at the end, everything is so well organized and in its space! Just wicked!
Despite some roadblocks, you never gave up. That, my man, is a fighting spirit to stay true in my book.
What a beautifully done shed. Great job Kyle, Ally, and Ally’s sister.
The refinished floor MAKES this shop. Character cranked up to 11. A very nice shop, Sir. A pleasure to watch this video.
Amazing job! So satisfying to watch! I can imagine how satisfying it is to you! I'm still freaking out over your finger!!!!
What a labour of love! You must be so proud. You didn't make mistakes, you created learning experiences. 🙂
Congratulations! What an accomplishment. And thank you for sharing. FYI for the back, I ruined my back flipping houses and had to have a spinal fusion. Now, I don't do anything without my back brace (I have several) and wish I had known about them 20 years ago. The shed looks amazing! You did such great work.
But that nail through the finger and your back...owww! Time for some well-deserved rest after all of this.
Is your tetanus shot up to date?
Wow she's a beauty. All you need now is a "shed name" put on a sign to hang on the exterior. Well done
Kyle, you can't help but be pleased; well done!
Great job. ‘A silk purse out of a sows ear’ as we say here.
All you need is a Tiny stove, I see shed getting bigger in about 5 years! Happy Thanksgiving everyone. 🦃🍁🍂🧡💛🙏🏼
I love to see upgrade projects like this one, refreshing the old, but keeping the history from it ♥
Awesome job! Both of you are amazing. I was sorry to see all of the injuries. That nail through the finger had to really hurt. Being a fellow north-easterner let's get some good snow, get a little cross country skiing in and dream of our Spring 2025 projects. Happy Holidays!
Good job you did on that old shed , you inspired me to fix my old rundown 12 x 12 barn style shed .
I suffered my first major back injury when I was 30 living in Montana and slipped bigtime on thick ice one winter. I had a herniated lower disc that put me out for weeks. you did a great job with the shed, with not knowing what you are doing, its a learning process, look forward to more videos
I have to come back to hear those 3 chords ! The music and your voice choices ! Perfect
Sorry about your finger! And your back
😩🙏❤️ This seems to be my favorite or your projects! Very good job 👍

Kyle this is amazing. And thank you for posting this today. We're snowed in in Pennsylvania, and its just what we needed.
Your shed turned out great, I love it!
Good work young man. My son builds furniture from scratch so I appreciate the difficulties you went through. You can do anything you set your mind to, just never give up. Peace.
YOU TWO ARE SUPER AMAZING
AND I LOVE YOUR MOTHERS SEWING ♥️💚 stuff is the best
Bravo!! Kyle, your commitment to every project you challenge yourself with is amazing! Thank you always for sharing!
Wow!! Great job! You should be proud of yourself! Yes, I enjoyed watching!
Man, that came out so nice.
Well, Kyle you Literally gave your Blood 🩸🩹Sweat and Tears 💦 😿into this one😳❣️‼️❣️♥️ Nice Job though‼️‼️👍🏼👍🏼😻
How a builder learns and gets wise as you won't make the same mistakes twice! Kudos to the knowledge of age.
Super awesome. Don’t be afraid to put hooks in the wood walls. It’s just wood. Nothing better than walking into your shed with all those tools displayed on the walls.
It looks amazing! What a labor of love, thanks for sharing the process.
I can’t wait until I see the house transformed. I’m impressed how you organized your tools as well. A wife’s dream. It never will happen in my home ugh 😩
You guys did an amazing job. It's stunning.
I am late in watching this, but you should be very proud of yourself. That is beautiful!
Amazing Kyle! I've followed you for over 4 yrs! This shed project was great❤
What a great feeling you get when you take on and then complete a project like this. Great job. I have a similar 12 x 16 shop on my property which was here when we bought the house 24 years ago. It was my re-do as well, but not to the extent yours was. Still very rewarding. It's my go to place.
What an incredible transformation, Kyle. Outdoor spaces and storage really do bring peace to the heart and mind. 🤗💚🪵
Your amazing .Great clean up and restore. Happy Holidays!🎄✨🧑🎄💫
Wow! How rewarding. It went from nasty old shed to cool man cave. Enjoy😊

Very good job, it looks great, congratulations, I'm following you from the south of Mexico.
I love how this perfectly captures all the little things that go wrong on literally any job site. Great Job. :)
Wow what an incredible outcome! Looking forward to what phase 2 might include. Maybe a small wood stove to make it a four season workshop?
Happy Thanksgiving. I am praying for your poor, overworked back and your safety. You only get one back, and you pay all your life in pain for one measly mistake or misjudgement.
Fantastic work.
Beautiful job! Your attitude is inspiring and you weathered the setbacks and rework in a great way! I know you guys are really proud of the end result.
This was so well edited! I thoroughly enjoyed this video Kyle. I’ve been looking forward to the end of phase 1 of this project for awhile. I hope your finger is okay!
Wow! Absolutely jaw dropping! Fabulous job!!
Dude!!!❤❤❤ you did a great job! Happy for you… put a security camera on your property! You’ve made it so nice!!!❤
Kyle, you’re a gem. I have looked at life totally different since I started watching your videos. Thank you.
🤠🧔 Thank you for the excellent video. I have watched y'all since the beginning of the homestead. The shed looks amazing. Have a wonderful December. ❄️ Cajun greetings from coastal Mississippi 👋
Wow!! You did a great job on the shed!! Love it!!
a vision becoming a reality is beautiful to watch, regardless of the medium
Perfect restoration and upgrade...get the well needed rest... felt that back pain when you installed the windows...
Thank you so much!! And yes, there was a lot of huffin and puffin the last week of this project
Wauw! You did an awesome job! And truely the best way to learn is to start doing things 😊
