    I could watch any other youtuber do this, but something about your videos are better. This has inspired me to want to try the basket twist on a railroad spike knife handle.

    "I'm low on propane? well I'll just strong arm it then!" that is some true dedication my friend. I thought some of those heats seemed a little undercooked, so to speak, when you were twisting. Amazing work as always and I loved those twists. Seems incredible to believe they are all single pieces. Dragon Scale was easily my favourite, looked very fantasy hilt type design, with the Dice as a close second. Looking forward to more content from you, hopefully, soon :)

      I'll do my best buddy, just waiting for some more steel to arrive. (I've already replaced the propane. 😁)

      @@thespartan2224 I've also got to try and come up with 2 more unique twist which I think will look interesting. I've got three so far, which on paper at least should look cool.

    I recently started doing new twists and figured I would learn on thick pieces of scrap. I get trying to strong arm it because I had… not the right tools. I’m forging a twisting wrench now. Going to make my son, a gamer, a small knife with the dice twist as a handle. I am thinking it will be more decorative than anything else. The pineapple twist makes a very comfortable grip though!

    When I first got into blacksmithing 30 yes ago, it was hard to find a master and there was no youtube. I made my cuts in hot stock with a chisel and more than once tried to twist and underheated piece. I feel your pain, lol.

      UA-cam is such an amazing tool for learning this craft. I have used chisels too, and whilst I may be considered a philistine, I just find using an angle grinder more time saving. 30years is impressive. You could definitely teach me a thing or two. :)

    Why did you switch from forced air to ventury?

    • @PJTForging
      @PJTForging  2 роки тому

      I've just been trialing the Venturi for a while to see which I prefer. The forced air works fine, but is pretty loud, the Venturi seems to be able to get slightly hotter as well... Otherwise there is very little difference.

    Why do people put pop music in their videos? It's so annoying. Use some legit background music. I can't sit through this pop punk drivel just to watch the video, and I'm sure other people would feel the same way about music genres I listen to. That's why music that was made to be soundtrack type background music is better for this type of stuff (generally music with no lyrics), because we're all used to it, and people don't have the same tastes in music.
