Fantastic ! :) ! I only learned about Curlies a few months ago. I'm a retired Holistic Veterinarian and members of my Holistic FB group introduced me. I've loved horses all my life. To be able to ride and communicate with them without heavy tack should be natural, not unusual. After eztensive hip surgery as a kid my parents bought me a horse and he was the best physical and emotional therapist I ever had. And yes, I sometimes just jumped on for a ride without tack.
I was tacking up my horse one day and suddenly looked at the bit (a snaffle) and thought to myself 'I'm putting a thick bar of METAL in his mouth!' The barbarity of what I was doing hit me suddenly. I went to liberty riding after that. He was already well trained so I had no problem converting him. And I'm not a pro trainer. I was just lucky in that I had a kind horse. We excuse our own cruelty so easily. My horse was a kind and sweet animal who literally looked out for me all the time and took care of me. Why would I do that to him?

This is the only way we should approach horses. They are owed respect just like ourselves. Team spirit forever ❤
