you did an amazing job with him!! you can tell that when he stepped on the edge and the block went up that he didn’t really want to do it again, but he tried to for you.
Having zero experience with a horse . I lived in Los Angeles, I road a horse once when I was around 26. I’m 52 now. My family said I was crazy and I couldn’t blame them but I did manage to train my horse(mustang). I admit there were time I thought she was going to kill me. I thought I may have gotten way over my head. It took me forever(2yrs) basically trying to figure out how in the hell am I was going to do this. . We now have 5 mustangs and she’s the most loving horse of them all. I couldn’t imagine not having her .
A fella at the barn I volunteer at owns a big red roan gelding from Stinking Water! When I saw that's where this fella came from I did a double take lol. Rojo is beautiful, and you did a wonderful job with him!
Nice compilation showing your progress. It was great to see some good and also some struggles. I'm glad you didn't get hurt in the process. You never know what is going to happen at the finale but you handled it with style and humility. I hope others will be inspired by your journey. You've changed lives forever.
I can’t believe you did such a great job on Rojo, what a loose cannon he was in the beginning. I love his strong powerful looks. I kept feeling on edge almost right to the end that he was going to explode but your brave handling of him won the day. I’m very impressed. 😁👍
I have to say that was amazing! You're a brave woman working with horses so powerful and untamed when you start. I know nothing about horses, but even I can recognize your skill and dedication involved with training. Cheers!
You did a great job on him. I think for next time when you train a mustang you should invest in a round pen because I think the majority of the time that he freaked out was because he felt cornered and trapped. A round pen would give you guys enough space for easier training. The horse wouldn't feel as trapped, and you would be able to escape a lot quicker when the horse gets startled. Otherwise good job
Greetings....from the Western North Carolina Mountains...! So glad that your video was in my "youtube recommend list".....you did an excellent job with such a wonderful mustang ! I'm very impressed with the skills he learned from you....way to go...!! Thanks for sharing your journey....Lots of good luck and success to you with your future in the horse world ! Cindy
Every time I watch a Wild Mustang being tamed , I cry . You are no exception Fantastic job . Courage beyond measure! Bless you … wonderful video. Your fan , Laura 🌟🐴😇
I've started and trained a lot of untouched horses in my day, some of them pretty 'snorty' like Rojo there. You have guys, and determination for sure. I was very impressed. My hats off to you! You're a credit to horse trainers every where.
I was afraid for you in the beginning of the video . I didn't want to hurt your feelings and say what I thought , " you seem more brave than smart " 😂 but one thing for sure you're of equal spirit and I'm sure glad you weren't hurt . I've watched many videos where young women usually adopt mustangs and do the 100 day challenge. I felt like they would advise you to be safer also. I admire your courage and hope you are never hurt ! 😊🙏♥️🌿🐎the horse was and is beautiful ! From first glance looked like a nice one .💯
That's what I'm thinking too. A round pen would be much safer. I've trained horses too so I'm not just saying an opinion. A jumpy especially aggressive horse needs space to work with. I was quite worried for her!
Great story and thank you for sharing it! I was wondering how you made your video journal. I'm starting to train a mustang and would like to capture some of the key progress moments. I can set up in my training arena if I know best equipment. Do you mind sharing what you used? Thank you.
0:53 that was very unnecessary and immature to: 1. Get so close to him head to head 2. Screaming and whipping him when he said: stay away Then 10 days after he is still kicking and biting. I would suggest to try this, first week. Don't have a whip with him. Don't stand and approach him. Sit down on the ground and just be with him. Don't ask him to do anything. Just connect heart to heart. You will be amazed to see how he may approach you, sniff you on his own on a day 2
Maybe I´m wrong but it looked like at the beginning he was all alone without any other horse arround or was it just the camera make you belive that? In my opinion, tying him on a tree was not the best option for grasing and dangerous. Couldn´t you take a mobile fence? But you did an amazing job not giving up. Look what he is now! Wonderful horse with the chance, to be someone´s companion for ever!
❤You done A Awesome Job with this Horse..You was not Afraid of him.. very Impressive..& you looked great Doing it.. $9,000.00 A Good Price..for the Horse..your Know how to Train Wild Horses? Priceless.🍀😀👻
Don't envy you at the beginning. Very reactive wow. I have two one 7 mo's. From Albany horse expo now she's 6 and her buddy I got her Mari mair 11 bother so awsom mustangs
A lot of mistakes in the beginning of this video; backing Rojo into a corner, letting him back you into a corner, striking out at the horse after your mistakes. You put yourself in a dangerous situation over and over. Hopefully you learned from this experience.
Gud job . But I bet it wuz hard letting him go I dnt know if I could have done that seemz like a horse would. Be like family or more like a life long friend anyways I couldn't help but to laugh when he took off when I wuz standing lmao freaking funny love it by

You are fearless. That makes all the difference working with these horses.

When you say loose cannon, I believe you mean extremely afraid. Imagine training horses without causing them intense fear over and over again.
It’s an expression conveying his intense fear (understandably )plus the danger to his trainer.
Loose cannon, what did you think he was going to act like at first?
Beautiful story beautifully presented! 🥰
I love that you show the rough parts too
I have to say that was amazing! You're a brave woman working with horses so powerful and untamed when you start. I know nothing about horses, but even I can recognize your skill and dedication involved with training. Cheers!
Thank you!
What a great talent you have and at such a young age, you will go far, but please be careful. You really are very brave ❤❤ love from Australia

Just a matter of time before she is hurt
That's what I'm thinking too. A round pen would be much safer. I've trained horses too so I'm not just saying an opinion. A jumpy especially aggressive horse needs space to work with. I was quite worried for her!

As her husband, I can tell you that she just propped her iPhone up on walls for a camera and used Apple iMovie as as her editing software. Good Luck!
