It's weird that whenever I play the fv4005 the playerbase suddenly becomes 80% Japanese and kamikazes me to the abyss.

For the record, the Wyvern was used extensively during the Suez Crisis in a bombing role. So its appearance in the Middle East isn’t without precedent :).
Yes...the RN never did land-based bombing missions. ;-) I like it when someone mentions the Suez Crisis. Height of the British Empire.

Look the tanks are great. It's just your first time using them and you were unfamiliar with the incredible power at your fingertips. It's a testament to the vehicles quality that you did so well with very limited experience.

Not that British tanks in service in the war were brilliant, it's just that German tanks are extremely overrated by comparison. British tanks in service in the war were strategically adequate and after 1940 designed at a time when one hand was tied behind their back by immediate time constraints, amongst a litany of other factors, like having to fight a 3 dimensional war. When the time constraints et al stopped being such a factor the Centurion was designed and *was* brilliant, proving to be far better and far more future proof than not just the Panther but to an extent arguably all of its contemporaries. Go figure.
I can't find the figures for 6pdr APDS online but when you compare the penetration values for the 17pdr APDS vs the penetrating power of Kwk42 (230ish vs 140ish) you can expect the 6pdr APDS to be roughly on par at worst, with a faster reload, smaller size profile and better muzzle velocity. If you rule out counterfactuals the late war 6pdr probably is a more effective gun. Go figure.
Except it's a bit of an irrelevant point anyway because by that point the British army had transitioned to using just the 75mm and the 17pdr on its tanks with the 6pdr only being used as a towed weapon. Both of which, again, were adequate for the tasks that were set on them, with the former replacing the 6pdr so HE could be used more effectively, since it was used more often than AP rounds.
The simple answer is that a long term lack of academic rigour and overemphasis of cultural memory and self-aggrandizing German general memoirs being passed off as history has led to all this mythos about German tanks being great and British tanks being bad hurr durr, so there's shit like Villers-Bocage being passed off as an amazing feat of German tankery for decades when what it really represented was how to lose one sixth of the Tigers in Normandy in 48 hours to a statistically negligible force that could easily replenish its losses by comparison. Again, go figure.

British Modern Tanks in WT are severly Nerfed, Namely Challenger 2s from lower plate armour, No Plate behind the driver, The mantlet is too wide and unprotected...

Whenever I play britain the enemy teams composition suddenly shifts from an average distribution of tanks to teams full of only soviet and german BMPs. Might as well stick a sign to my cent saying "please missile me"

The thing is IRL british tanks are actually really good but the only problem is Britain doesn't have many tanks but it makes up for it with great tank crews and with the Challenger 3 in the works which is suppose to challenge the M1 Abrams and some of the best tanks currently in use but if they made the challenger II have almost impenetrable armor which the real one kinda has would make the game unfair so they make it fair.
My favorite British tank in WT is the Polish Firefly. I as a Yank, enjoy British tanks. Especially after reading that greentext, about a Brirish armoured platoon, saving some American soldiers in Afghanistan in a firefight, whilst blasting Vengabus (Six-Flags song if you need more reference) from rigged speakers, whilst also blasting the Taliban to bits, whilst replacing their cover smoke grenades with hundreds of chemlights, and deploying them. At night.

I don’t fathom what thou shall say, unless you go for the tank destroyers, the first tank to pen a Sherman (the earliest one on the tech tree, m4a3 I think) in my game was the valentine IX.... and it’s BR is 2.7 realistic. An absolute pain in the ass to grind but loved the Sherman firefly.
i actually enjoy playing britain. Im 9.7 now with the challenger mk 2 i think. And sometimes i do horribly to the point where i almost uninstall warthunder but other times i gain maybe 30k silver lions
Never realized it, but those who sees the barrel of the FV4005 are either scared or brave. Especially if it is pointed at them. Had some lovely gameplay and some hellish experiences in that thing

As a primary German player I got my first nuke in warthunder with a British tank and honestly British tanks are not bad I like them
well British tanks are not always the best ones in real life and in war thunder especially during world war II I must say they're all absolutely cool looking by far the best looking tanks of the war and still of today
I love British tanks Tier 1-2-3, they are amazing.
