I was here with my father. He loved goo goo dolls. He died in 2010. I never ever knew this was filmed.. I find this recommended. It brings back such great memories and the memory of him screaming the lyrics. I am now a father myself at 35.. Im absolutely so grateful to have found this because that experience was one of the best in my life!!!!💖💖💖💖💖💖

the fact that he also sang this w out an earpiece in and was just living in the moment and wanted the cameras to capture the audience… it’s one of the best performances I’ve ever seen honestly
They were warned about equipment damage but played anyway in the rain. Such an amazing performance to go back to and watch on repeat, taking in all of the details.

I was there and it was without a doubt the most incredible live event imaginable. The crowd singing this song in the torrential downpour was bordering on nuclear. It was a legendary night for the City of Buffalo.

GRIZZLYFIT. Jungle Fitness after the success of his first major hit, “Name”, he got hit with severe writers block that lasted a very long time, and he had begun to give up on being a singer songwriter. He then was asked to write a song for the movie City of Angels, and what he came up with eventually became Iris, and he was so happy to finally have finished a thought. Iris became another big hit, and changed his life forever.
How we all didn't get electrocuted at this show was a miracle!!! I was in the front row in shin deep water! I remember when Jonny came out and played solo in blinding rain!!! I've been to a lot of great shows, but this one will always be one of the greatest concerts I've ever been to, tens of thousands of us, in the hardest rain I've even seen!!!!

@ludwig2345 where we were standing was shin deep water, all of the power supplies for all the electrical equipment was underwater or completely soaked.
My old dog, LOVED this song! He'd just crawl up the to tv or stereo and his ears would turn and just lay down on his belly and listen to it. He was a good lad, thanks for making the song that he listened to for the last time in 10 years as we put him down. Won't mean much to everyone out there. Some idiot talking about his old dog who loved this song and one of the few things that ALWAYS calmed him down after we adopted him. Still brings tears to my eyes thinking about how chill he was with this song! Not this rendition but damn.... Miss the little fella!

One of the greatest but unknown live performances ever. The atmosphere is incredible from the band and the crowd
u hit it on the head, this is the first time seeing this and its one of my favorite songs!
It is more than most people realize. After their lives totally changed, this was return to their hometown, where the community had supported them for years, though they never had a hit. Many in the crowd were family and friends that had supported them throughout the years, in a concert in the middle of Buffalo. The city famous for it's precipitation, became a star in the show.

I was working on an ambulance during this show. Unless you were in Buffalo that day/evening, you just can't understand how HARD it rained. We rode near Niagara Square a lot during the show. Such a cool scene!

What made this so special was that everyone there was fully immersed in the performance, no phones. Everyone there creating memories and singing their hearts out. I wish concerts were still like this.
I remember when he was my neighbor way before he was famous. Every weekend I would hear music from his house & damn did it sound good. He was so nice & friendly, he invited me to hangout but I was too damn shy. Anyways, I’m so happy for him. I remember when this song came out, I cried because I was so happy for him.

I was at this concert July 4th,2004. With the GOO GOO DOLLS being from the Buffalo NY area made it that much more special.
When he says “feels like the movies” is great because this feels and looks like it’s from a movie. How awesome it would’ve been to see this live!
I think it's referring to dissociation brought on by some sort for mental strife, be it anxiety or depression or something else. Kinda like being stuck in "zone out" mode, because you're thinking is so inwards that the outside world becomes unimportant.

Being at this show is the epitome of a perfect moment. I've had a few in my life... Seeing Third Eye Blind on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in Atlanta at Music Midtown with all my friends. These are memories you should cherish forever.
Live Music will always carry special moments for those who experience performances like this.
but the sad truth is that many bands who have "made it" so to speak are bunch of sissies and skip the gig if there is a chance they might get their socks wet.

When "Iris" came out, it went viral in its own way. I remember substituting for a second grade class that broke into singing this song while doing an art project. They knew the chorus by heart. Naturally, I was stunned but encouraged them to keep singing. The power of music is truly amazing.

This performance is iconic. I had an amazing time with my daddy and sisters. The Goo's were one of my fathers absolute favorite bands. When it started to rain we all embraced it to the fullest. Best concert EVER!

Now that’s a hometown gig. WOW, the rain takes it to a whole new level. Even everyone is soaking wet, they’re all still putting everything into giving the crowd, a performance they will NEVER forget. I always come back to this video when I’m feeling down, and EVERYTIME, without fail I get covered in goosebumps. This song epitomises all life itself. Perfection.
