  • Visited the Terrell County Courthouse in Dawson, Georgia. I met Cindy Thomas with title of Associate Judge & Chief Clerk. She was very rude and when the on duty deputy would not violate my rights, she called more police.
    After all law enforcement would not violate my rights, Cindy appeared to have went into the back room and began to actually cry. She must be used to getting her way whenever she directs it. However, she will not violate the peoples rights.

    Cindy should be fired. She is a public servant and she was negligent in her duties. Also, it was incumbent upon the other employees to either know or research the law regarding the submitting of an open records request because they are being paid - a member of the public is not.

    Imagine being a *judge* and not knowing of Freedom of the Press, Public View Doctrine, or Open Records laws. Where I'm from we call those crocodile tears (fake crying) to elicit sympathy when they don't get their way.

    • @thetruepatriot7733
      @thetruepatriot7733 9 місяців тому +2

      Just an FYI, there is no "public view doctrine". I think you meant "plain view doctrine" which has absolutely nothing to do with filming. A lot of auditor's falsely claim the plain view doctrine. That doctrine only applies to government officials. It literally has nothing to do with filming. THE PLAIN VIEW DOCTRINE PERMITS THE WARRANTLESS SEIZURE OF ITEMS IF THE ITEMS ARE DISCOVERED INADVERTENTLY AND ARE IMMEDIATELY APPARENT AS EVIDENCE OF CRIME.
      This only applies to government officials... for example, if a cop sees a bag of drugs in a car, he would have the right to open the door, search the vehicle, and seize the drugs as evidence. If you as a citizen see a bag of drugs sitting in someone's car, you do NOT have a right to search that car and seize the drugs... only law enforcement has search and seize powers.
      Our right to film anything we can see in public is protected by the 1A, not the plain view doctrine. I really wish auditor's would stop citing the plain view doctrine, it's clearly confusing their audience.

    • @ChristianAkacro
      @ChristianAkacro 9 місяців тому +3

      @@thetruepatriot7733 ok maybe I worded it wrong but the idea behind it is that if it's visible from public, it can be filmed under the rights affirmed by the 1st Amendment, ie. Freedom of the Press. That idea whether it was coined the 'public view doctrine' or not is still applicable.
      I do appreciate being corrected however, I will update my verbiage in the future (not sarcasm).

Then she starts the water works trying to illicit a response because, she so "scared" of a camera. Couldn't make up lies about GT because she knew the whole thing was on camera. The entitlement and abuse of authority with this one is just so blatant. Imagine the amount of lives she's probably ruined because she felt slighted in some way. Respect to the Deputy Blaze (I think that was his name?) for doing an outstanding job. Not only eduating employees on citizens right, but de-escalating and not following unlawful "orders" too. Decent job to the supervisor too. Doubt she'll reprimanded her underling at all, but at least she was educated on GT's rights and didn't try to violate them. Also not knowing how to do FOIA as a clerk??? That is ALOT to unpack!! 👃🐟🐠🐡

    • @robwiljas
      @robwiljas 10 місяців тому

      @@user-xk9dl8xw8l Yes jailed. She, a judge acting under color of law told him he was not allowed to record where he is constitutionally free to record. She was attempting to deny the constitutional rights she as a judge took an oath to uphold simply because she did not like it, and then cried when she didn't get her way. Deprivation of rights under color of law does not require an arrest.
