26:10 I think it's wrong to view the lack of global support for western policy in Ukraine as a victory of Russian information warfare so much as a failure on the part of the west to hold themselves and their allies to the standards that they wish to measure others. If there's no law that the west will hold themselves to that prevents what's been considered plausible genocide by the ICC then expecting the rest of the world to give a damn about the other laws they wish to hold others to is a fools errand and talking about how 'different' Russia's attack on Ukraine is will look like so much excuse-making because that's exactly what it is.
The west has been eroding the legitimacy of the rules based international order for a very long time with illegal wars and by failing to abide by agreements they made with other nations. Then when Russia breaks the rules they suddenly became very concerned with illegal wars and invasions and started talking up the importance of the rules. When Oct 7th and the subsequent reaction happened the west had a choice, they could either strengthen their commitment to the rules and hold Israel to them or they could tear down the rules based international order to protect Israel from the consequences of their actions against Gaza. In the past week we've seen US senators threatening the ICC that charged Putin if they dare to charge Netanyahu and other Israeli leaders. If the rules based international order survives these dual crises it will be in spite of western actions not because of them.

While industrial output is lower and it was way lower before February 2022, another hurdle is that Europe itself does not have a lot of raw materials to start with. This slowly increases the price of each artillery shell made in Europe due to the rising costs of raw materials and the fact that one of the biggest producers of them - Russia - is heavily sanctioned.
Building new production chains, educating more engineers etcetera won't change much unless Europe finds a steady and reliable supply of raw materials.

There are a lot of other rare earth elements that are not plenty neither in Europe, nor in North America.
Even some of the basics - good weapon or armor-grade steel, are also currently not plentiful neither in Europe nor in the USA, which is pushing its prices higher and higher.

To be fair, some of those countries got the Wehrmacht on Hard Mode while USSR was still more or less friendly with Germany.
And the little bee stings by the various resistance movements did draw a relevant amount of resources that Germany couldn't deploy elsewhere. Yugoslavia alone drew off about a tenth of what was deployed against USSR. Add in other places, and suddenly Germany has a lot of it's troops tied down that can't march on USSR.
Victory in WW2 required a lot of cogs big and small to happen not just the big three.

Willy, we in the EU have a very low industrial production nowadays because:
    1. high energy prices (no more cheap energy from Russia)
    2. high raw material prices (no more cheap raw materials from Russia)
    3. high wages
The result? We can never compete with Russia in production of military output.
    In the US:
ALL military production is privatized, hence everything that is ordered for production must meet these criteria's:
    1. must be in sufficient volumes to be worth it for MIC to invest in:
    a. new factories
    b. new machinery
    c. hire and educate workers and specialists
    d. high enough prices to sell to the US military (profit) to be worth for MIC to invest in
And it often takes a long time for the Congress to allocate the money for that order (print more money).
The result? The US can never compete with Russia in production of military output.

Russia has never sold cheap goods/resources, it has always sold at the same price. The lower cost was only due to short delivery. • @faster6329
      @faster6329 10 днів тому +2

@@Notrusbot The Russian gas was much cheaper than what Europe is paying since the war to the middle east and way more to the Americans. EU's desperation for energy caused a price hike all over the world and it was all caused by EU themselves via sanctions in order to destroy the Russian economy. We now buy Russian oil from India, lol, at higher price. And instead of gas via Nord Stream we buy LNG, which costs a lot more than pipe gas.

To be fair, *I don’t think you understand what political science is.* It’s not reading speeches annd having opinions anbout leaders. And I doubt he gave you that reply. Because modern political science is mostly statistics and game theory, and no, you don’t need to understand Chinese to (from Wikipedia)
      >The theory of political transitions,[18] and the methods of analyzing and anticipating[19] crises,[20] form an important part of political science. Several general indicators of crises and methods were proposed for anticipating critical transitions.[21] Among them, one statistical indicator of crisis, a simultaneous increase of variance and correlations in large groups, was proposed for crisis anticipation and may be successfully used in various areas.[22] Its applicability for early diagnosis of political crises was demonstrated by the analysis of the prolonged stress period preceding the 2014 Ukrainian economic and political crisis. There was a simultaneous increase in the total correlation between the 19 major public fears in the Ukrainian society (by about 64%) and in their statistical dispersion (by 29%) during the pre-crisis years.[23] A feature shared by certain major revolutions is that they were not predicted. The theory of apparent inevitability of crises and revolutions was also developed.[24]

Actually when we are talking for F-35s, they are built entirely on YAK 141. There was a contract between YAK and Lockheed Martin to built a plain together, but the Americans just stole the plans and left. As always they do. And even after they had all the plans they still failed to replicate the plane in a proper manner. Now it it is nothing, but just very expensive flying brick.

As I Russian I despise people who say that lend-lease is the only (or the main) reason why USSR defeated Nazis. And I also despise people who say that lend-lease did nothing and that the USSR did everything alone. Everyone did a great job at defeating evil: each soldier, each factory worker, each extra hour of work on food production should be remembered. And it's fair to call everyone who helped defeating nazis The Greatest Generation. I don't understand how the Victory Day can be so divisive these days. But it should be a reminder that together we can accomplish great things and make the world a better place by working together instead of looking at our differences

Why no one wants to admit the fact that Ukraine lost this war?
Germans also technically lost ww2 mid 1943, but it still took a time to wrap things up. Same here - nato lost this war thought their proxy in Ukraine - it will just take some time to finalize everything. Perhaps they’ll even push Baltic-s, Poland and Romania to this conflict, but this stage of the war is almost completed.
