I still remember your first sugar paste masterclass! I'm so happy to see how you've evolved in front of the camera over the years
The bows on the cake looks so adorable 🥰🥰🥰
Would you consider making an old-fashioned fruitcake with the marzipan, fondant, multiple coats of royal icing and Lambeth-style piping?
Sooooooooo super cute! Sally you are so lovely and sunny and truly a great teacher xx
Thank you ❤
Very well explained. The cake looks so pretty, love it!🎀🩷
Super cute decorations, Sally! I’ve become a covert since I learned you can make your own fondant out of marshmallows and it tastes loads better than the store-bought stuff.

Very cute! Don't think I've ever eaten sugar paste. Will have to try this. Thanks Sally!
Most birthday cakes are covered in fondant, it’s quite likely you’ve eaten it before.
@@dudessjoddie Nope. Every cake I’ve ordered for work and home parties have been buttercream frosting. Even fancy weddings: buttercream.

amazing, so pretty. when I look at you doing this. it looks so easy but when i do this myself it's a mess
Loved watching this can I ask how long it lasts if you use the chocolate and cream under the fondant. Now to practice.
Beautiful cake! Is the sugar coating eaten with the cake, or should it not be eaten?
Funnily enough, I'm watching this whilst making your sticky toffee cupcakes for the second time in 2024. My boss's going away party is Friday, and she requested them.
Actually, I had to stop watching for a bit because I was in the middle of cooking the custard and almost let the eggs scramble! Fortunately, I saved it just in time.
Now it's in the fridge cooling, and I've resumed the video.
I always freeze my cake to prevent crumbs of cake when I ice it
How do we store the cake afterwards until the party?
I agree, sugar paste lost popularity. I remember we used to use apricot jam to stick the paste to the cake before butter cream and crumb coats became a thing.
U❤
Can I use water instead of edible glue?
Yes, you made need to hold the parts in place for a few seconds whilst the sugarpaste gets gummy from the water. X
What ideas do you have for your leftover cake you cut off?
cake pops!
Looks amazing 😋😋😋
