I believe the tour started in May or June. So, add 4 months of pretty much constant singing to his voice for this performance and that's what you get.

john is notoriously known to smoke pot from what i hear. big deal. but it seems very likely that he's high and/or drunk in this performance, and i remember in atlanta he said, "i'm high as a kite on back medication." but unless he took four vicadin, he wouldn't be that loose. trust me, i use to take vicadin on a regular basis.
