I have a 2020 Ford Edge ST. It is a very good car, especially the engine... very powerful. Unfortunately Ford is not dedicated to improving the car comfort, even the top of the line models. Ford Edge ST and Titannium should come with more tech options like folding mirror outside, 360 view cameras and better...I mean much better back sensors. The 2020 Edge back sensors, does not detect people when they pass behind the car and does not have the emergency brake for the back sensors in case of emergency. The Cars from other brands like Nissan, Hyundai etc are produced with these accessories even through they are not the top of he line models. Ford is dedicated only to the F150 truck line, nothing more. The F150 top model is absolutely amazing in comfort and tech. Why Ford does not do that to all the top models cars? The 2021 Ford Edge got poorer inside.The car looks Cheap even with the new large navigation screen. Ford should stop investing in the ugly Lincoln Cars, and starts to dedicate more to the cars people buy the most. Ford Edge is a nice car in performance and size but needs a huge upgrade in comfort and technology inside.
I agree. But you answered your question yourself. They're dedicated to there golden egg laying goose....THE F-150! that's like 90% of there revenue and it's the best selling truck in the world for like 44 years now lol. They better make sure that it stays that way!
Sounds like there is something wrong with your car. I have a 2017 Edge and it detects people all the time when they walk behind me. Can't imagine it just got worse at that task over the last few years. Not sure what sort of comfort you are missing. I went from a Prius to the Edge and the comfort of the seats in comparison is huge. I have back problems, so it's been a major help and upgrade for me. The pricing is pretty high compared to some other brands, which is the only thing making me pause about buying the 2021 Edge vs a 2022 Hyundai Tucson. It will be about a $10k difference between the two. I'm just concerned about the comfort in the Tucson by comparison. Plus I really want that 12" screen. People saying it looks bad are nuts. It looks amazing.
While Ford was smart to add this massive screen, it wasn't to take out the physical climate controls nor was it to increase the price by $5k on all models, especially with such minor updates in comparison. I know they want to drop this but come on be a little more subtle.

Not a fan of that big screen! I hope Ford doesn’t kill off the Edge!
The screen looks after market and ruins the flow of the interior. It honestly a shame...

Nice, but the big screen just looks so out of place. Like it was customized by a consumer and not well thought out like a billion dollar car company.
The look of the climate control buttons are terrible and cheap
