- Parking Sensors NOT WORKING... TRY THIS 1ST
To know which sensor doesn't work, insert the key into ignition and switch to position 2 then put the car into reverse. step out of the car and go to the parking sensors and touch each one individually and see which one is "sparkling" less than the other ones. You may have 1 or 2 or who knows maybe all (in which case you either have a wiring problem because you can't know which sensor is bad or they're all bad and need replacing). Its good to take them out from time to time (twice a year would be perfect) and clean with WD-40 or any other spray which doesn't leave residues
For more information on WD-40 go to wd40.co.uk/

Hallelujah, praise the Lord bless you amen. This did not work straight away yesterday evening, but this morning I tested the car and I couldn’t believe my ears, the rear reversing sensors now up and running and functioning in the way that they were designed to function.
Bless you bless you bless you
😂😂😂😂😂
Amazing, worked directly after the first try. Thank you for saving me some money!
It worked !! Thank you very much for posting this
Gracias pensé que era algo más grave ,lo hice y funcionaron de nuevo.para el audi A4 👍👍 saludos desde Chile.
Just did mine on a Jag, I sprayed once left for 5 mins and sprayed again, now working perfectly, great tip 👌
Good work, thanks for the positive feedback. 👍
Worked on first attempt clio 2015! Thanks mate
thank you! worked on 2nd try! 2016 Rav4
I did this by spraying WD40 and it worked for a few days only, after that I did get random beeps again, I also noticed one of the sensors was partly peeling off paint, about 1/3 of circle area like the sensor of the display picture of this video, I have repainted the whole circle area of the sensor with an even coat and now is working properly.
Worked first time on my 2018 Renault Clio 👌🏼 thanks!
WD 40 works for me just 5 minutes ago after watching another video, thanks
Worked first time on my wife’s Kuga. It’s been driving her nuts for months. Garage said whole bumper had to be removed to replace it. £££££££££

Thought ide share. Same happened on my 2018 vw tiguan , but before one sends it to garage please try this yourself, as i did today by pure accident and it fixed issue in your vid. Go to screen above steering wheel and turn off all assists, on my car it has two including lane assist, click those boxes so no tick shows, i waited 6 hours to go for drive (as i had an issue and manual says switch off front assists, so i did), but just for whatever reason i clicked on front assists and BINGO Wahooooo it reset itself. Still can't believe it but if that doesn't work yes you need to take it to the garage and get fixed. I forgot to mention i cleaned all my sensors but still error front pilot showed on screen and flashing at the P button. All fixed and with by reading my manual and by pure luck. Very happy and hope this helps. Remember i only turned off assists as i had a problem and manual advised me to do so, they thankfully are back on now and i saved a fortune.
Tebrikler. Bunu deneyeceğim.🎉
2014 Mini - five minutes - sorted. Thanks JFK!!!!
There's also a parking sensor module for some reason when i unplug my reverse light bulb the sensor's start working very strange and i wish it was the other way round as i have an mot coming up soon.
It worked for my lexus rx 350 2010 model, 👏 thanks
Very good 👍
it really helped
would a electrical spray cleaner also do
My vauxhall mokka does not beep at all and says need service. I would ideally want to avoid goong to vauxhall as i know thats going to cost a lot more than necessary.... any ideas?
Are you're reverse lights working? If not could be the reverse sensor switch.
Mine didn't because reverse lights didn't work put new switch in lights on but no sensors
Wow it worked
To know which sensor doesn't work, insert the key into ingnition and switch to position 2 then put the car into reverse. step out of the car and go to the parking sensors and touch each one individually and see which one is "sparkling" less than the other ones. You may have 1 or 2 or who knows maybe all (in which case you either have a wiring problem cuz u can't know which sensor is bad or they're all bad and need replacing). Its good to take them out from time to time (twice a year would be perfect) and clean with WD-40 or any other spray which doesn't leave residues, because you're driving on all sorts of roads starting from dusty ones to wet ones and all that mud is going to clout in the sockets and cause PDC to malfunction.
Put the car in reverse and get out the car you say?😱
@@eddieathers2488 Not very dangerous when the enginge doesn`t run, is it??
I crashed my car
@@eddieathers2488 position 2 not 3😅
It’s not dangerous if the engine isn’t running, in fact if you’re parked facing down on a hill, the reverse gear won’t hold your car with the engine off. Basically just chock off your wheel/s first before doing that, that’s if it’s like my car and the hand brake or ebrake needs to be released to activate the sensors. But either way it’s better to chock the wheels
Mine are not even making noise, tried the wd 40, no help, may be the module??
Fixed mine by replacing the beeper speaker in the rear deck😁😁
My caravelle T 6.1 front right sensor wont stop going off when nothing is near on the open road 😂 😤
Yes it is good information just minutes.😅
Glad you liked it
Not working on mine. Pitty...
l had continuous beeb now after this hack lve got nothing so will probs have to remove the rear bumper and replace sensors
Like it says, try this first.. if not it could be a faulty sensor.
Can someone please help me. My sensors are working intermittently. One moment they will act normal then the next time they will been continuously then another time they will do the close rapid beeping. Now all of this will happen when I’m not near any thing
Making mine not work is what I'm trying to do👍🏾😁
Take the fuse out. 😉
Press the switch off button under the steering wheel.
I'll give it a try..... Take care of your car better. Wipe that DW40 off all the bumper area. A little sloppy but good idea how to fix
If this fix with WD40 dont work, you can turn the ignition on and put the car in reverse and walk back to the sensors and listen if they make a clicking noise. If they dont, they probably needs to be changed.
Hope this helps somone. Have a great day yall 😊
I know. See my other videos 👍 all the best
For all who read this comment, turn the ignition switch to on position but the vehicle must be off. I.e: engine should be off. Do not step out of the vehicle otherwise
After a heavy rainfall, rain seems to get inside the sensors and causes them to malfunction . A Couple of days of warm weather/direct sunlight usually fixes the issue or you can do what I did..
I used a portable vacuum (18v Milwaukee) I put the hose on the blower side of the vacuum and used a crevice attachment (this increases the speed of the air) and aimed it at each sensor while varying the angle of directed air and it worked. No direct contact between the vacuum attachment and car panels/bumbers.
Another top tip.. 👌 thanks for that.
I find this error occurs after heavy rain. If I clean out, use blower and WD40, then wait a few days when warm weather back, fault disappears. Has worked last 4-5 times. Not to say this will work in the future as wear and tear occurs. When I use the blower, always amazed how much water there are in the sensor gaps. Anyhow, give it try. Can’t hurt.
Does wd40 eats the paint?
Hi No this will not damage the paintwork as you only leave the WD40 on the paintwork for 5 min
@@JFKKARZ ok thx
Wipe it off!
It’s a degreaser not paint stripper
WHY does it work though???
WD40 dissolves and rinses dirt
😂😂
If you guys want more efficiency and long time take wd40 waterproof
A video to show a "fix" that dont work!!!!!
How brilliant is that!!
Took some thinking that did!!!
How ungrateful. Didn’t see your video explaining that this is a first fix.
wow awesome reply 🙄 he's obviously trying to help others..
Your sad
@@glennsharkie4882 of course I am 😂😂😂😂
Don’t work
It's a first try, So you need to check all your sensors, and replace. Or check the wiring on the faulty sensor.
Worked for me
🤡🤦🏼🤣
Left all that wd 40 all over the paint, running down the bumper. 🤦♂️
Hi can wd 40 damage car paint ?
