Just bought a 2021 Edge SEL FWD. Traded my 2016 Fusion SE. Love it so far. Handles great turns tighter. Getting used to the touch screen but really like it. Ours has the moon roof my Wife loves that feature. I wish the cargo bay had more lighting when opening it at night it's very dark back there.
Big screen has potential. Certain views are bland like the radio unlike the climate control looks nice. Hope Ford give an option for a color graphical scheme. Edge seems really nice
I bought a 2020 titanium in star white and soooo glad I did.... to me the 2021 model is not up to par despite that screen. I feel as if I have way more bells and whistles in my 2020 than the 2021 ... they took out many features in the 2021 that I love in my prior 2016 titanium and now my 2020 titanium. Yet you did a great video!!!!!
It’s obvious. They’re killing off the edge and pushing those drivers to go for an explorer or bronco. And the broncos look meh but would be an interesting soccer mom vehicle.
My mom works for Ford and actually designed the suspension for the Edge. She told me they were going to continue the edge for a while since they make a lot of money off of it. We actually just recently got one a few days ago but it’s AWD in carbonized Grey at $40,000 sticker price
Weird that the edge got sync 4 but not the gas Mustang or escape... I guess it's because Ford only wants to update their mid-range models first. And mustang owners most of the time don't like too much tech like how safe and smart was so hard to find on lots for 2020 models.
I just purchased a brand new 2021 ford edge and I noticed my two exhaust pipes are hidden way underneath the car they do not stick out, all the other edges I see has them fully exposed why is this..and I have no honeycone grill....thanks in advance...
What trim package did you get? I have the titanium trim, I have exhaust tips out the bumper, and the grill is a different style all together. Has a nice wavy look, almost reminds me more of an actual luxury vehicle.
@@Vortechtral the sel but all previous years the sel had extended pipes, plus there is no mirror in mirror, no turn signal flashers on mirrors no glove compartment light no HD I could go on and on nothing like my 2020 edge FORD really cut corners this year I cant wait to unload it...
@@vietnamcombatveteran2274 None of those items are in any of the packages? Mirror in mirror... convex? If not I'm not sure I know what that is. If its convex, well I don't know if its standard or not, but blind spot monitoring replaces the convex. If none of those are in a package and simply not offered as standard then they became titanium and possibly ST items only which would be pretty silly.
I have already needed to get to the battery on my 2021.... WHO THE F**K thought it would be a good idea to place it half concealed?!?!?! There's only about 1" of clearance to reach the negative terminal! Effing stupid!
@@JVette01 but what happens what it just dies? Technology in itself isn’t reliable enough to give me confidence buying a car with a huge tablet that controls everything.
Would you rather it have an 8 track? Sync 3 (2016+ Fords) has been around for 6 years and I don’t see anyone saying that it just stops working.. I wouldn’t be worried about it, but that’s just me.

It just has one LED. It would be nice if they put one on the lift gate or on the opposite side of the other one!
I'm figuring how I can put some kind of light on the lift gate or some other area.
Or just use your phone light if it’s too dark 😂

I kinda like the Edge, it just needs a full redesign. If they made it look nice and have a RWD platform like the Explorer, I think it would be nice.

I had rental I think 2020 sel real solid car drives nice comfy roomy mpg was 29 mpg combined for me mixed driving. Ain't no Lexus tho but solid car

Just because it’s bigger doesn’t mean it’s not gonna work like the previous sync systems lol..
