D1 Beta veteran here. I was middle school back then. I think I was like 13 or 14? Now im 23 in college and working as a chef. Back then I was barely able to keep up with them. Ten years later I’m playing in honor of my old fireteam. Rest in peace my boys, I’ll turn the witness into an auto rifle for yall tomorrow.
Who knows. Lightfall was actually an incredibly smooth launch and it was their most preordered dlc ever. It may have been a bad dlc, but it had record numbers on launch day and everyone I know got in within about an hour with little to no connection issues after.
Took Wednesday off of work because I have a feeling there will be server overload at launch tomorrow, gonna download the expansion as I'm at work and then spend all night playing The Final Shape
I work yet I be able to try and play at launch then work then late at night play again when servers will be quieter normally. I took off Thursday and raid day so I can enjoy 4 straight days of gaming and watching world first

I hope they make an exotic arms for Titan new super where it dumps all axes into one singular throw similar to Celestial Nighthawk from hunter. Titan is in need of a range super you can dump
@@justinthompson320 that is NOT Tcrash, Tcrash you have to get close to the boss to damage, with the axe it would be a throw instead of needing to get close
Heh, make it so Titan's go full Kratos (Elderly). You throw a single axe into the boss, and then can call it back to you, which automatically equips it.
Off topic but i just had the idea that they shpuld add a new stasis warlock ability that allows you to plant your staff and have it become a giant bleak watcher
i’m 18 now and i’ve been playing destiny since 8, played halo before that and i’m here to say that this is my favorite game even tho there were ups and downs
As someone who does a lot of lost sector griding, I'm super happy about the Rahool changes. We will be able to grind exotic engrams on one character, and use them at Rahool for another character.
@@Samurai-xm2yn isn't this how it works right now? U can have an exotic engram and focus it into any desirable exotic at the cost of ascendant shards and cipher I think
@@wab_ yes that’s how it works now, except that exotic ciphers are limited to 1 per week and require a hefty amount of work to earn. It seems each reset with Rahool will reward a cipher, so lost sector farmers will earn them relatively quickly.
I began playing D1 when I started high school. I poured thousands of hours in. Now I'm in deep into grad school with no time to play, but man do I miss raids and Trials-- it's weirdly cathartic to see the saga ending. Maybe I'll pick it up and try to find some time. Thanks for the vids all these years, Aztecross. Oddly emotional right now.

I love this channel. All the Destiny UA-camrs are beloved, well, the main ones. Destiny brought us Aztecross, Fallout, Datto, CoolGuy, Paul Tassi, the list goes on, there are definitely a few I’m forgetting. And for the most part, they unify our toxic little community. No matter all the rage and grief between players, in raids, strikes, Gambit and Crucible, these UA-camrs are our shared home base where we return after battle, to rest, and for information and guidance, for a laugh, for the Twab, so on and so forth. The Final Shape, it’s for all of us guardians, but it’s especially for you guys. Thank You, to all of you, for your endless hours of effort bringing us the best Destiny content.
Same. I had taken a week off to play diablo 4 and came back to grind out some shiny's, I didn't keep count but it I also swear I was getting less. The few I got actually came from the chest turning in tokens.
@Vex-Milk even my drop rate from the chest seemed worse. I was focused/aligned/whatever on midnight coup the entire week (looking for kinetic tremors+shoot to loot), and only got one shiny version. I think I got 5 total shiny drops in the ~same playtime as I had gotten ~10 shiny drops the prior week.

Thanks for this video. I’m a returning veteran of D1 and D2 but haven’t played properly for about 3-4yrs so have missed A LOT! I’m interested to see what’s free to play this week and what’s locked behind the paywall as I’m going to wait a little bit before purchasing the expansion (only because I am not certain I’ll stick with D2 with other games on my “to do list”).

0:05 I am honestly a really big fan of how long season was because I had time to do everything. I wanted in it get the title complete the pass. And just have fun as a casual player. The story was also really good too.
Legendary Campaign is like a way to either challenge or even stress test your newly-crafted builds. to see what works and what doesn't it honestly feels quite refreshing when a build works or even carrying you to the final mission. Always going to be moments I feel like Summit1g and punch the shit out of my monitor because of bullshit from me or the enemy, but I guess I like this challenge. Hoping Bungie did some tweaking since I think Datto said Legend Campaign was unusually easier if you know the slightest of build crafting. I remember in Witch Queen when void 3.0 came out and using my voidlock with nezarec's sin. It was literally my dream to just reign purple destruction on my enemies. Even Titan with HOIL (Heart of Inmost Light) was such a joy before the nerf.
Yeah, kind of sad that they didn't make it an single teleport kind of dagger without the final slash as just an melee ability. Could at least use it for movement in pve. Because I really like the idea of that skill since it looks fun. But bruh in pve as super it's literally a troll to take. Unless it will be broken and will do crazy dmg for no reason like strand super did, haha.

@@ivoartursskrivelis2123 Yeah cuz where it stands it’s neither good in PVP or PVE, it’s just Mediocre all around. But the fun factor is def there. Other than that it’s basically fucking useless. Warlock def got the best super all around and Hunters got the best PVP super. Titans got just an all around meh super.
So I’ve seen people say Frost Armor is a nerf compared to Whisper of Chains. At base, yes. 5 stacks amount to 22.5%DR from Frost Armor compared to the 40% DR Chains provided. Chains will no longer provide DR. Whisper of Rime will now take that role and it not only increases not just the stack amount from 5 to 8, which will grant 36%. A 4% difference from Chains. But also extends the timer from the base 8 seconds to 13. So while the instant usage of 40% DR was a nerf. The lingering effect of 36% DR for 13 seconds is way better in my opinion. Also, the Harvest aspects now heal with Stasis Shards instead of Rime. So that’s a plus. So something like Renewals will still be great, and I’d contend better with that lingering Frost Armor.
Yeah I was thinking having a hunter run renewals when a warlock runs well and just throw it down on the well. Then you get the damage resistance you need
D1: 13, Freshmen in high-school who got a PS4. Previously an xbox player at the time, played Halo and got D1 based on that basis. Now, D2: 23, grown up and out in the world still coming back to this game on and off. Feels sureal to see how far things have come, its wild.
Thats good to know, you don't need stasis or strand subclasses unlocked to use them in prismatic. A good (or better) alternative if players don't have Beyond light or Lightfall.
Holy hell, ive played lots of games and these changes are the biggest ive ever experienced with any game, ever. They have been doing a great job at keeping the scene fresh. I returned after destiny 1 way back only maybe about a month before season 23 ended and i do not regret it at all. Its been a great time.
Yeah that's really weird but they cut content all the time, we know it was the same theme as the handcannon they eventually released. Had a blue swirl design like that hand cannon's pink one
I remember watching the D2 trailer with my buddies in sixth grade. I remember freaking out over Wardcliff Coil. Good times. Now, I play solo. I am extremely excited to finish the story once and for all... if it's actually over. Regardless, it's been a journey.

Have you guys noticed that Titans have less supers than the rest of the other classes? Hunters have 3 in each light subclass Warlocks have 3 in 2 of the light subclasses But Titans only have 3 in void… very odd. I get that those extra supers are variations of the same idea, but still, it’s a different super nonetheless.
I thought I had deleted all my sunset weapons. Yesterday I realized I still have my prized auto-loading/demo Marty’s Retribution. We are so back, baby!
25:44 Man I use thunderclap all the time, it's great for clearing adds and with my arc build I have unlimited thunderclaps as long as I get a kill, every time. So I'm fine if I'm the only one that uses it, because this buff gets me excited :D

But what was dumb is that they said that they had to rush and that they were running out of time and you just casually did all the other missions while he was at the veil and you just easily broke in

we weren’t going to get either originally. prismatic was part of a last ditch effort to save the franchise. it was way easier for them to just combine already existing abilities rather than create an entirely new subclass/damage type.
i think this should have happened beyond light gives stasis which queen gives strand lightfall gives nightmare subclass final shape gives light/dark combo
Definitely could make prismatic in thosr months. Its just a few of the abilities already in the game, just duplicated and pulled over to a new subclass tree. As for new enemies. Thats less likely to be done in those months but i think it wasnt ready when they initially showed the dlc. They only have 2 exotics per class in this final dlc, even after a delay, so it stands to reason bungie is stuffing all they can in this as they can't risk delaying further @danranger2821
I love 18 Kelvins, and used to use it even when IB had a power level- just to see how many kills I could get with it. I am happy to be able to use it in content again.

Logically speaking, if to get weapons of light we need an exotic slot (adding offensive capabilities to a defensive super) wouldn't it make sense for the same thing to happen to well of radiance, having an exotic to cater to it's defensive abilities, which would serve as a sacrifice to the potential ofensive abilities a solar warlock has (sunbracers/starfire protocol)
Will probably end up hanging out with you in your stream chat since I can't afford even the standard $50 version of the Final Shape right now (groceries and other more important stuff are way too expensive right now). With the Super nerfs, depending upon mods, the ability buffs and Prismatic. it seems to me like players will be able to Super back to back especially with high intellect builds which will hopefully make Marksman and Well still viable or better. Titan grapple boss melting will probably still work too.
i honestly predicted prismatic subclasses for all since D1 2015 because it was going to happen regardless. there was no way they’d lock classes and not allow other aspects and whatnot with what we’ve got now

So are exotic ciphers going to drop more often? For someone who wants all the exotic armors… when I was up for grinding master lost sectors I could get 4 new exotics in 2 hours or so. Does this new update mean you can only choose 2 or so exotic armors a week (from xur and leveling master rahool for the exotic ciphers)?
Playing since i was 13. Now I’m 21. It’s been one crazy story. I can’t wait to defeat the witness. And conquer the edge of salvation. And I swear the raid exotic better be the craziest thing ever.
I always do legend campaigns at least once all the way through and then dip out of it on my second and third character, looking forward to the challenge as a solo player :D
I'm a Titan main my most played character are literally sentinel, sun warrior and thundercrash in that order, but out of all I'm the must excited is playing warlock with all the orb buddies I can get at a time is the closest we are going to get to dual wielding and I'm all for it
With the Power QOL changes, QOL changes in general, and new weapons and the Episodes. I kinda feel the hype train ngl. Lowkey excited to play Destiny. They drew me back in 😂
That power level boost from the highest fireteam member is a great move for the community. Expect a huge boost to retaining players old and new! Well done Bungie!!! :)))
Hopefully that helps counter the huge nerf they gave to players, 10-30 levels under by default seems to be the new norm going forward for all activities.
I never really thought about the synergy between song of flame and transcendence, but if you can activate them both together it could be really interesting, the ability regen would be wild. However I doubt that they will stack due to the nades conflicting. But my god if they do...

Tbh I had no idea this was the longest season. The one during Witch queen felt the longest. Which I believe is now the second longest season.

@@ivoartursskrivelis2123 Yeah cuz where it stands it’s neither good in PVP or PVE, it’s just Mediocre all around. But the fun factor is def there. Other than that it’s basically fucking useless. Warlock def got the best super all around and Hunters got the best PVP super. Titans got just an all around meh super.

Prismatic is the testing grounds so they can get it right for D3, almost certainly.
That is what i am thinking to with leaks about D3, i might just skip out on this expansion depending on reviews for it and wait for D3.

Another improvement to the HUD is you can finally see teammates health on the circle above their heads!!
So I’ve seen people say Frost Armor is a nerf compared to Whisper of Chains.
At base, yes. 5 stacks amount to 22.5%DR from Frost Armor compared to the 40% DR Chains provided. Chains will no longer provide DR. Whisper of Rime will now take that role and it not only increases not just the stack amount from 5 to 8, which will grant 36%. A 4% difference from Chains. But also extends the timer from the base 8 seconds to 13.
So while the instant usage of 40% DR was a nerf. The lingering effect of 36% DR for 13 seconds is way better in my opinion. Also, the Harvest aspects now heal with Stasis Shards instead of Rime. So that’s a plus.
So something like Renewals will still be great, and I’d contend better with that lingering Frost Armor.
Yeah I was thinking having a hunter run renewals when a warlock runs well and just throw it down on the well. Then you get the damage resistance you need

D1: 13, Freshmen in high-school who got a PS4. Previously an xbox player at the time, played Halo and got D1 based on that basis.
Now, D2: 23, grown up and out in the world still coming back to this game on and off. Feels sureal to see how far things have come, its wild.

Thats good to know, you don't need stasis or strand subclasses unlocked to use them in prismatic. A good (or better) alternative if players don't have Beyond light or Lightfall.

Holy hell, ive played lots of games and these changes are the biggest ive ever experienced with any game, ever. They have been doing a great job at keeping the scene fresh. I returned after destiny 1 way back only maybe about a month before season 23 ended and i do not regret it at all. Its been a great time.
More than a year passed but we still didn't get the grenade launcher from trailers, the one titan was holding.

Have you guys noticed that Titans have less supers than the rest of the other classes?
Hunters have 3 in each light subclass
Warlocks have 3 in 2 of the light subclasses
But Titans only have 3 in void… very odd.
I get that those extra supers are variations of the same idea, but still, it’s a different super nonetheless.
two of hunters' are golden gun variants and two of warlocks' are just nova bombs and in both cases people just pick one and never use the other

Honestly i would've liked a third darkness subclass rather than a Frankenstein of light and darkness
we weren’t going to get either originally. prismatic was part of a last ditch effort to save the franchise. it was way easier for them to just combine already existing abilities rather than create an entirely new subclass/damage type.

Definitely could make prismatic in thosr months. Its just a few of the abilities already in the game, just duplicated and pulled over to a new subclass tree. As for new enemies. Thats less likely to be done in those months but i think it wasnt ready when they initially showed the dlc. They only have 2 exotics per class in this final dlc, even after a delay, so it stands to reason bungie is stuffing all they can in this as they can't risk delaying further @danranger2821
I love 18 Kelvins, and used to use it even when IB had a power level- just to see how many kills I could get with it. I am happy to be able to use it in content again.

As someone who is a cosmetic collector, the 90 extra glimmer per week from ritual activity rewards is pretty nice ngl
Logically speaking, if to get weapons of light we need an exotic slot (adding offensive capabilities to a defensive super) wouldn't it make sense for the same thing to happen to well of radiance, having an exotic to cater to it's defensive abilities, which would serve as a sacrifice to the potential ofensive abilities a solar warlock has (sunbracers/starfire protocol)
Will probably end up hanging out with you in your stream chat since I can't afford even the standard $50 version of the Final Shape right now (groceries and other more important stuff are way too expensive right now).

With the Super nerfs, depending upon mods, the ability buffs and Prismatic. it seems to me like players will be able to Super back to back especially with high intellect builds which will hopefully make Marksman and Well still viable or better. Titan grapple boss melting will probably still work too.

i honestly predicted prismatic subclasses for all since D1 2015 because it was going to happen regardless. there was no way they’d lock classes and not allow other aspects and whatnot with what we’ve got now

So are exotic ciphers going to drop more often? For someone who wants all the exotic armors… when I was up for grinding master lost sectors I could get 4 new exotics in 2 hours or so. Does this new update mean you can only choose 2 or so exotic armors a week (from xur and leveling master rahool for the exotic ciphers)?
Playing since i was 13. Now I’m 21. It’s been one crazy story. I can’t wait to defeat the witness. And conquer the edge of salvation. And I swear the raid exotic better be the craziest thing ever.
I always do legend campaigns at least once all the way through and then dip out of it on my second and third character, looking forward to the challenge as a solo player :D

I just noticed the Song of Flame melee wasn't the super Incinerator Snap in the original reveal footage. It's not swappable is it?
It's based on your currently equipped solar melee. On prismatic it will always default to Snap, as Celestial Fire isn't available on Prismatic.

I'm a Titan main my most played character are literally sentinel, sun warrior and thundercrash in that order, but out of all I'm the must excited is playing warlock with all the orb buddies I can get at a time is the closest we are going to get to dual wielding and I'm all for it
With the Power QOL changes, QOL changes in general, and new weapons and the Episodes. I kinda feel the hype train ngl. Lowkey excited to play Destiny. They drew me back in 😂
That power level boost from the highest fireteam member is a great move for the community. Expect a huge boost to retaining players old and new! Well done Bungie!!! :)))
Hopefully that helps counter the huge nerf they gave to players, 10-30 levels under by default seems to be the new norm going forward for all activities.

I never really thought about the synergy between song of flame and transcendence, but if you can activate them both together it could be really interesting, the ability regen would be wild. However I doubt that they will stack due to the nades conflicting. But my god if they do...
