Will the 200 amp stick welder weld 6010? It's advertised that it does but if you watched this video or are familiar with 6010 or cellulose rods on inverters they tend to have trouble

9:00 that sputtering is very common on inverter machines.....especially ones that are not really designed for 6010 rods...due to the lack of voltage......
Most of the little machines are not rated for 6010. I didn't look at the specs for this one. Not much interested in the machine as I've got one on order that'll run 6010.
I have followed your "Financial Prepper" channel for a while now and know your a trust worthy guy so when I saw you doing a ArcCaptain welding review I had to click on video. I actually have a Vantage 300 but wanted a little welder for the smaller jobs in my shop and have been fighting this thing for 2 days. It spits and sputters probably 80% of the time then clears out and lays a good bead. Was kinda happy to see you struggle with it a little as well lol. I'm gonna keep playing with the settings before I give up on it.
It’s going to be hard to top that vantage 300 I haven’t had much trouble out of the little machine. But it's still a cheap Chinese POS. With that said, it works pretty good for the price. the plasma cutter has really impressed me.
My first time viewing your channel and i subscribed.. i enjoyed your review and helpful hints. You make starting the rod easy.. i remember trying to get my rods started...oh my that was a day.
Chris, I always appreciate your videos and I like seeing product reviews but I would encourage you to review only quality equipment from reputable manufacturers. Be blessed.
Probably guns better than it sticks. Noticed that with my Lincoln Electric 3-1MP. Does fairly well with 6011 & 6013. However, I then decided to get a rouge ESAB 180i pro and it tigs and sticks 7018 - 6010 consistent on 110v and ever better on 220v doesn't sputter like that one does. Bought it from a pawnshop brand new for 600$ can't complain MSRP runs 890$+ not bad.

Touch the screen and a yellow box will appear...there's a sun on the right side of the box. Just touch it and drag all the way down, don't hold it just touch it. It takes a couple of times to get it. Did me anyway. It will dim the camera to dark. Should be able to film those arc shots. Hope that helps señor! Love your videos! Thanks man
Nevermind the heat box tell me about that combustion device over your left shoulder! I appreciate heater designs and it looks weld-made. I found no video referencing it. Oily rocket?

i saw a video that on iphones idk about android but if you click on the screen to focus when in the camera app a sun pops up and it has a slider you can turn that all the way down and you might be able to see arc shots i haven’t tried it personally
Open circuit voltage is too low. Using a 6011 rod will help with that, also running it straight polarity (electrode neg) will keep the arc lit more easily. What happened to José ?
You have shown the stubby rod saver stinger allot. I am using a v stinger at the moment but would like to try the stubby. Hey Chris what’s a good rod for galvanized fence material? I’ve always used 6011 for job site work but most of the time I use the mig in the shop. Thanks
90A on stick is about what to expect out of an Inverter like this, over that, the clock is ticking before the breaker trips. There are high efficiency welders out there that can do more , but most are pricy. 90A will run all 3/32 rods hot enough to get work done. That said, I have done a lot of " bracket" repairs with 1/8 and used one rod or less. So you could sneak in a 1/8 rod here or there before the breaker tripped. It takes a few minutes depending on how much over you are in amperage. I was running my everlast welder on 120v at 100A, burned a rod, went to strike the next and the breaker tripped. I forgot I had been doing lighter work @ 80A or I would used 240V ( the 240 cord is big and heavy) The breaker was already toasty warm. In case you wonder my everlast has the standard inverter efficiency like the arc captain, though some of their expensive welders are better. If you really want to do more on 120v, look for a welder with PFC and make sure you seen a test on it, some welders on scamazen claim they have it.
@tsl7881 this was with mig stick I can only get around 75 amps before breaker trips. It has done good for me so far but I have only built 1 table with it.

It ran the 6010 okay- I'll bet you that if you went into the parameter section and disabled the VRD (voltage reduction device) that it would run that 6010 better.
