In my opinion, no other brands did a Rolex Day-Date 40 better than Pagani because they made the effort to use such a reliable Japanese Seiko movement to have a modified day wheel, not like other brands that used a chinese movement.
Love Pagani. They are great value for money. I own a few, and when I gift one I always get “man this is the best present I got today”….friends wife giving me the dirty looks is okay with me, lol. Good quality socks also make great affordable gifts, ladies hint hint.
I have pagani DD40 gold plated case and Green Dial. I had to regulate it myself as it was around 20 sec faster. The gold plated bracelet broke after few weeks and Pagani didn't send a new one. I spent around £100 to get the Pagani DD. Recently I got the Cadisen DD40 with Miyota movement and it came with super accuracy around +5 sec per day and I spent around £45 half of what I spent for PD. I love both watches. If I had to get another DD that would be a cadisen because it is cheaper and more accurate. Be well
@@1988banker nothing fancy, looks like any other Day date movements date wheel. It's a pretty cool and interesting modification though...kudos to Pagani
I’d say this is a specialty dial due to the day cutout. It would probably fit larger NH36 dials but the date wheel would need to be changed back to the original one
I have the silver green PD-1752. Which is 36mm Actually wearing it right now on my usual rotation. I think it's a great dressy watch. Plus i've always wanted a day date, but can't justify the price.
@@RvSun I've had it 4 months so far. Runs great. It is a Seagull ST16 movement. Which is meant to be very reliable. No issues so far. I wear it in rotation and it's always been fine with me.
Had the "pearl movement" version and while I keep most of the watches I purchase, that was one I sold quickly. Granted part of it was due to the movement. I ended up really not liking the dial at all. While a different look, the San Martin BB054G (which can be had for ~120 on sale with discounts a few times a year) is dramatically better in every way.
Hey Steve, is this blue kind of too "baby"blue, or did i get it wrong. Anyways, i'd never get this with Roman numerals, plain markers maybe (purple and red look nice, "goldie" black... don't know...), but surely have to wait for (some!) next sale for price to drop... by a lot!!! I bet case is by their Oyster homage and bracelet is bit lousy, 21mm(!?), butterfly clasp(👎), in general a Pagani alike. As for the lume, better none than their notorious! Cheers mate, be well.
I wish Pagani would offer this watch in a 40mm and a 36mm option. This 40mm one just feels too big. I know they have a 36mm one (PD-1752) but it comes with a Seagull ST-16 movement which is far from reliable so I would have preferred an NH-36 or even a Miyota movement. In the end, the PD-1752 is the one I bought anyway because it was on sale last week for 42€ (shipping and VAT included), so I figured "oh, what the hell..." Let's see how long it'll last. PS: I'm going to start a drinking game where my watch buddies and I take shots every time you say "on this thing". Will we make it through an entire video of yours before we keel over? ;)
Very cool. The value is insane. Come on Pagani! Why the butterfly clasp? God has more important things to do than getting a Chinese Watch to fit on my wrist. It’s still a hell of a watch. Sorry I meant heck of a watch! Thanks for the great review!
I purchased this model and within two weeks the alignment on both hands went. Never aligned again. The day window never aligned from day one. My previous purchase from pagani design was rubbish also. You pay your money you take your chances, especially with this brand. I won’t be buying this brand again.
This is so cool. I’ve never seen a 12 o’clock day on an NH36.
@@BobbyL2k pretty neat party trick. Not sure if it was Pagani's idea or Seiko's, but either way, I'm happy to have a reliable day date movement around

😂. San Martin???
Cadisen with the slimmer miyota?
@@Mystery_Man84 san martin doesnt have a rolex day date homage
@@aponinenaugcasio8456 The miyota 8285 is inferior to the NH36 (unidirectional rotor winding, louder ticks, less jewels, less reliable long-term)
Pagani makes 36mm daydates with chinese movements. Most of the 40mm daydates use miyotas. The only chinese movement 40mm I know is sugess?
I wish Parnis would make a day date homage. Their datejust is the best out of all of these. They nailed the thinner,
more vintage feeling bezel.
That bracelet is a Presidential, I have one similar and is quite comfortable, it doesn't pull the hairs like some jubilees.

A thorough review even though the change of date at 9-3 broke my heart a little bit
@@gaminggeeker6896 lol. Thank you.
i got it this 8 months ago U$57 brand new. i love NH36
Is it really made of _316L_ stainless steel? I can't find that designation anywhere.
Will it suit on 6.5 inch wrist? Or will it be too huge .. what’s your opinion on this
Looks nice, for the price seems very good, I would get the darke blue instead or maybe the "meteorite" white
Would you go 36mm over 40mm for your 7.5 wrist?
Thank you for your review. How is the Pagani PD1783 w/ NH36 movement holding up? How's the time accuracy?
@@RvSun holding up just fine 👍
I just want to see the hands and dial removed. I'm interested on how they modified the day wheel for the nh36.
