Smart shopper to pick one up on your trip ! Clever kit, straight from the marine industry. Best of all her big smile shows this product hits the mark. Now that you're back, if you guys up for a winter trip to Death Valley, please consider my invitation to show it to you. Perfect trip for your new shower, winter weather is mild and short winter days add so much color to the landscapes.
There is a way you can preserve the paper parts holder they made or shipping/packing for future use. Get yourself some epoxy and apply it to one side of the piece at a time until dry. This way it doesn't get floppy and lose shape while the epoxy is still wet. Once you get it to a solid epoxy stage, you can add however much more epoxy as needed to dial in surface finish, even paint it whatever color you like. If the epoxied part seems too heavy for it's size, you can alway drill holes in the non structural/support areas to reduce some weight. But, if a person is packing around this beast of shower unit, I don't think weight is really an issue in the first place.
They are the best I’ve still got mine five years still going strong: I said the same thing with the battery back then looks like they still haven’t listen . I just put my own on to it
I don't have an off grid unit like that at this time. I use campgrounds, truck stops, sponge bath, or heat up water in a pan and put the hot water in my water dispenser. But that unit you demonstrated looks like a promising option.
I have a sleep platform in my Jeep and even I deleted the rear seats, with the bed and kitchen equipment, 10lb propane bottle, stove, skottle, firepit and fridge the space is a premium. This is WAY too big to carry, than it has so many parts, the D batteries (who else in the world is still using them?) and in addition to million other gadgets, going to a simple camping/overlanding trip becomes a complicated procedure... I use the USB rechargeable dip pump, drop it in Scepter wide mouth 10l canister, 9l cold and 1l boiling water mixed and it is plenty for a nice shower. Given I do not have a hair to wash like you girls... 😁😁😁
That is a lot of real estate being taken by this products. For me the NEMO shower is the best. Doesn't taker a lot of space, can add hot water to it and is much more portable.
Yeah there are lots of things to carry. However, you have instant hot shower with this system. You will have to boil a couple of pots of water for Nemo. I have the Joolca and it’s very convenient. It definitely has its size disadvantage. I also use a 5gal Jerry can and a USB power water pump with shower head when I don’t want to carry the bulky Joolca. This costs way less than a Nemo and more flexible.
Hi, Australia do a lot of Great Gear for Overlanding and Truck Parts. And this is Beautiful and Amazing Country, I love this place. This gear are on my liste for my Tacoma. For me the HOTTAP Outing kit is enough, I use Milwaukee packout in my bed truck for my gear and some side case on my Alu-Cab Explorer canopy, " Alu-Cab cupboard " . But anyway , this system look like , for me , the best one and more effective one... when it is easy to use it is more fun. Thank you for this demo. Have fun
I'm super happy to see your beautiful face again I love watching your videos and I'm glad you are back I must have missed some videos because I don't remember seeing that truck I think the Last video I seen was when you were removing parts off your rolled truck take care hope to see more videos again soon
We have a diesel fired Aquahot system that we use for heat and hot water when "camping". It provides enough hot water to run the washing machine, dishwasher and shower at the same time.
Cool device. The ideas you have to upgrade it are good. You should contact the company and tell them maybe they’ll give you a bonus for the suggestions.
Good morning Overland Lady. What can I say? These videos just keep getting better and better. But that's of course to be expected from such a talented, fun loving adventurous woman such as yourself. Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend. 😉😉
I sprayed my paper formed pieces with Gorilla Glue black spray sealer. It keeps the paper from getting soaked and hopefully will preserve the shapes longer. I am waiting for someone to come up with a 3d print program that we could all use. Hey Joolca how about it? We are also using the pale blue earth rechargeable batteries for the heater. With the new Joolca battery pack coming it will decrease the need to move my larger power source out of the Jeep and get our shower and kitchen set up. Game changer indeed.
These instant hot showers have been around for years now, I’ve had one for the last 12 years or so. I don’t understand why people are acting like they were just discovered
It would be easy to make a replacement for the batteries so that you could run on 12V from the car or house battery. Just need a small circuit to drop the 12V down to 3 V.
Hello my lady friend lol... First i want to say its a great feeling to hear you laughing again.... And that shower set up is remarkable... You killed about three birds with one stone... You're able to shower and wash dishes plus have an area for them to dry... That sounds like a win win... And maybe by you addressing something they over looked they might make a change in the future and make it where the attachments are able to go back into a more stable and reusable mold for further use while on the move... And i told you before everything has its timing.... Everything happen for a reason... I was happy to hear that you're back in Canada cause i heard Australia had some crazy weather and i thought about you... And the kangaroo's lol... But you were in my prayers to be safe.... I know that peace and calm you feel inside when you're away from people and I'm glad to see you camping again.... Seeing how we are friends if you are dumb I'm dumber lol... Keep your head up stay amazing stay true stay you.... And i miss your sense of humor.... And no one is dumb just a different type of intellect... Please be safe and careful and i told you that you got a friend here... Friend are difficult to come by in this world but this world doesn't know what a true friend is.... So know you're never alone in life even when you're alone.... God bless you Ms. Lady and i still love the hair with the black roots and white( blonde) tips lol.... Have fun doing what you do and thank you for sharing so much.... Everything in life has its timing and lesson.... Safe journeys Ms. Lady God bless
Agreed. The D Batteries will keep me from purchasing this one over another. I already have enough random crap I need besides having to store extra D batteries.
Problem with showers I have found is that they use too much water, each shower will use 10 litres minimum in my experience. For two people this is minimum 20l per day, so if you go away for 7 days it's now 140l just for showering. So instead I just heat up a pot of water on the fire and then use a plastic cup which works pretty well. Or a sponge bath works too and this uses even less water.
I have the Joolca v2 and the pump pushes way too much water. I would like to see a pump adjustment or the hoses being a slightly smaller diameter. I also would like to see a more compact design and more accessories suited for the overland/ camping vs off grid. I really enjoy mine. It’s just bulky and being in Colorado, showers are great during the winter season.
Look like it is a good system for Trailer or camping van, take up too much space for SUV/truck, Colman make a hot Propane shower system much smaller built-in battery and use one gallon propane bottle.
@@OverlandLady thankyou Monique for having the time to answer my question, I hope the shower works well for you, be nice to here how is working in 6 months 😀 cheers guys, rick,Perth Australia 🇦🇺
🔥🔥🔥🔥 whats the batteries for MOnique? you have a 12v system for the pump, and gas for the heat, so what use are the batteries? Are they some sort of backup? Apart from that great video as always and you look more than great as always...
MY God, have to decipher if people get stuff for free or not and they actually have experienced the products for a period of time. Is the product worth the money? Have you tried ANYTHING ELSE ???
I have a B.O.S.S. that has all of that except the sink in the size of your 12v battery. It’s rechargeable too. That set up you have is way too cumbersome.
Nothing you said about “dumb people like me” was offensive. I tell people all the time “I’m just a dumb plumber, what do I know. “. Lol. I have a nomad. I haven’t used it. I bought it for emergency use. I’m going to have to break it out I guess and give it a whirl. Nice video by the way.
Way too much fidgeting to be practical. I like the idea of a geyser shower. It only requires 1 liter of water in which you can boil a portion of that. It’s basically a sponge bath.
I am so glad to see you have missed that sexy voice and your content roll on when you go back full time off the beaten track you lift on old farts spirits be safe and enjoy life it is not a practice run.
I have never been to Canada, yet, but I have seen countless different customs around the globe. Everything from human sacrifice to plant your head in the ground, but this one.......never! So in Canada you put your swimwear on before showering. Is this an old custom and what is the basis for it? Interesting custom but to go through life never being able to wash the parts of the body that are covered by the swimwear is a bit strange! But who am I!

They sell adapters to be able to use AA batteries in D and C electronics.
Also they resell rechargeable D size batteries.
Awesome to see you back
This was my introduction to this product. I will consider it for a future investment. Thanks.

I use the Geyser heated water system. Takes up less space and pretty quiet compared to this Large set-up. The pump on this water system is so loud.
Still using a cold one. Some day but I enjoy cold wather.

Just use AA to D adapters.
Omg ur ride looks amazing. Love the stance
A replaceable lithium solution would be ideal for the battery. That way it's rechargeable and you can have spares.

Perhaps hooking up a 12 volt dinner will help to reduce pump speed.

Forget about everything else, I just enjoyed the “shower scene” only.
We use an Aqua Cube. Which works really well and looks to be a bit more compact than this unit.
