Ever dreamt of living in a truck camper full time? My best friend built a homemade camper on the back of a short box Toyota Tacoma. I visited the town he's been traveling to and spent some time together. Living in a truck and on the road is one of my most fond of memories. And I can't hide my excitement for my dear friend's new life in a camper truck.

Im moving from las vegas NV. to Interstate Island Rd, Syracuse, with 2014 ram 2wd with camper shell. Pulling a trailer with utility tool box.
I have 2 generators and electronic heater. Dont need renting hotels.

I feel the same about 270 awnings and hatched cars. Im sure with the height of the cruiser. You could get some shorter length struts for the hatch, and replace the dying creaking ones 😂 270 first so you'll have a measurement and maybe wrap cording of some sort around the ball mounts of each end of the strut to limit the extend height as a temporary fix 🤔 till u measure or a permanent option also😅
The squeaky sound is from the spoiler rubbing the awning tie.. hatch itself is fine. If i make it any shorter it’ll block some trunk access for moving things in and out… the problem is the spoiler🥲

Sorry to say,but it doesn't look safe, it's about too high, and it might turn over when making a sharp turn..
Depends how much it weighs, trucks are pretty heavy down low, doesn’t add much rollover risk
@@TDOGGisawsome I was just wondering, I live in Vegas, and we usually have a very strong wind gust, just like last Sunday, I only have a roof rack and an awning ( canopy ) and my truck was swaying all over the road, it's like driving without a sway bar, just wondring if his Tacoma would hold on a strong wind gust.
@@billocampo1365 yeah it’s hard to say, but it’s probably way lighter than a slide in so I would probably trust it on a 1/4 ton.
I wouldn’t want to have anything that tall without going through my suspension in detail though. At least an extra leaf
@@TDOGGisawsome I drove a 26 footer Penske truck from Florida when we moved to Vegas, and going through Texas, nothing but 18 wheeler on the hi-way and the 26 footer I drove was swaying everytime a 18 wheeler passes by, but anyway I was just curious..

You’s have to open the tailgate first.. so when stealth camping, he climb in from the window…..
