Sutcliffe is right up there with the very best road testers and is under utilised imo.
His grasp of car control and how he relays that info across to viewers is astonishing.
Let's have more of him please.
Car is epic by the way.
carlrea : you enjoy this much watching cars you cannot afford and cannot drive in real life ?
@@lensoprezole5322 Are you 10 years old? What do you drive?
@@lensoprezole5322 Whilst not a 750s I drove a 570s only a few weeks ago.
I fully agree with your statement. I've long been a fan of Steve Sutcliffe, largely because he is clearly the real deal, has personality and a good sense of humour - and as you say, his ability to convey the full driving picture to the viewer is really second to none. I'm also a bit old school in my driving tastes - ie. no lines of code overriding my inputs thank you very much! For some years I got my raw driving pleasure from a 964 (which I foolishly sold in 2007), nowadays, I get it from my superbike. Cheers - Dave
dude drives like a pro. i was thinking in my head "wow this guy actually knows what he's doing" hahaha
More Steve, please.
You mean like take his shirt off?
Dont go there
U gay.
Love to see him drive naked ❤
michaelteret : More 2024 ND3 MX-5 MIATA please !
Steve Sutiffe and Chris Harris are the only reviewers I really trust and enjoy
I think Matt prior and richard meadon would make that a fantastic 4
They’ve all been at it a long time
Harris has gone a bit angry, bitter bearded sweary man for me these days. Moaning about how he doesn't get Porsche allocations because he is a big deal
Harry catchpole?
Henry C and Jethro bring cars to life as well.

Yay, more Steve please. Superb video as always. Great content, the world's finest road tester and lovely videography :)
Steve is such a legend. He has brought up this generation of truly skilled auto reviewers including Mr. Harris and Bovington to name a few. I personally would love to see POV footage of Mr. Sutcliffe ripping a 750S down a B road with the leash let off fully and no talking necessary. Such a highly skilled individual and his Mclaren F1 GTR video is one of the best ever made. Epic and thank you for your work sir
The cinematography is just off the charts...
Bravo!!!
Steve never disapoints, the "GOAT" for all that I care.
Cheers and keep it up!
Best car tester , anywhere
What a great video and the car is sensational too. In an age of tedious drag race videos its great to see Steve on a proper track
Not only are these 'old school' super cars brilliant but the presentation, production and editing are just epic. I stand a better chance of winning the lottery jackpot 52 weeks on the trot than getting one but I can certainly appreciate the incredible engineering that has gone into it. Many thanks for sharing.
So the videos all dropped at the same time - amnesty over - I scroll my subs to see what to watch, I see Steve & I hit play! Boom!
The best 750S review I’ve seen!
When your confronted with a plethora of car reviews, our Steve gets first shout every time.
Always great to see a new car that makes Steve pull out the superlatives and enthusiasm 😍👍🏼😎
Steve continues to be brilliant!
Forget the new 750s..... As soon as I seen Stevies face I couldn't click any faster! His voice is music to my ears! 🙏
Please don’t come and comment “it’s just another 720S” then go praise the GT3RS. Both McLaren and Porsche are entitled to improve on what was once considered perfection.
Just be happy these manufacturers are still willing to produce these cars in an ever hybrid/EV pressured industry for one last hurrah.
Thank you for the video Sutcliffe, I was hoping that you would review this car, brillant review as always 😀
Well done. Some of the best driving shots of a vehicle are here!
Excellent, as always, from the one and only Steve Sutcliffe!
Sutcliffe is the man. I don't mess about. I just watch immediately.
Best super car on sale!
Sutcliffe really is top of the heap in both video and written reviews - keep it up Auto Express.
Cheers, great review as always, thanks.
Good to see Steve Sutcliffe!
Steve, you, Chris Harris and Henry Chatpole would make an amazing team on top gear. All OG GOATs of YT drifting car reviews.
Superb video!
As good as it gets! Steve Sutcliffe and a 750s, absolutely brilliant 👍👏👏
One of my favourite car reviews of all time was when Steve drove the 720S
Nice review
It’s always a joy to see Steve Sutcliffe putting a car through its paces. One of the few absolute authorities when it comes to this stuff.
Sutcliffe is the GOAT. He should start his own channel
Good old Steve 👏👏
Last of the proper old school supercars is the naturally aspirated V10 Lamborghini Huracn Tecnica, thats the pinnacle of supercars
Im a simple man. I see Steve Sutcliffe, and I immediately click.
More Steve please.
We all love Steve ❤ plus the car looks epic 👍
Wow what a car They have done it again. A great video Wish i had the money. boy what fun.
Another perfect review from the Master
Bold statements from Steve Sutcliffe, and if he makes them I believe them.
Steve is the Man ✌️👍
McLaren just seam to getting to that sweet spot of everything just right, proud of a bit of british Engineering 🏁 👌
What is the color of the spider?
The Ultimate car show would feature...... Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, James May, Stevie Sutcliffe & last but not least Chris Harris! Also Rory Reid would get a place too! 🙏👌
Can u guys please explain how come theres no 296 gtb - 750s comparison videos yet? Some kind of an embargo or what? :)
Steve and Chris need a show
Dream car!!
What a great review. I have to agree with the comments that Steve, Chris Harris and Richard Meaden are the bleeding edge of real car driving and experience is for a real world video review. Only thing with the 750s perhaps... having to clean those wheels 🙄😄
Best test driver on UA-cam
Steve is so good
more mr. steve
Steve keeps it real
Steve's the best..
In these sad times this car has only one true competitor left; the F8 Tributo. The Mc20 is great too but not nearly as fast.
How about the quality, have they improved it
Why is it left hand drive?
How is the build quality of the new 750S?
I really hope they've sorted the reliability issues of the 720s...
Mclaren are utter garbage. The build quality & reliability is absolutely shocking
On the same tires, the 720s was actually faster than the 765lt around the track. The 765lt was a rocketship but had nowhere as good of balance and handling. I suspect the 750s probably has the 765lt engine but just call it 750s to not upset those who paid the premium just like what they did with the 570s and McLaren 12C. It had every bit as much power as the 612PS 12C but just called it less to say it’s more entry level. The 750s will be mighty on track
This guy is the best …. Simplifies everything to a novice like myself ….. sensational car….When this car becomes hybrid then the roof comes off…
If I had a chance to drive this, I would probably agree with you on all points, but has McLaren done anything for their reliability?
1st, oh yeah. Amazing Car...
*MX-5 Miata Is Always The Answer !* 👍
(For the non millionaire enthusiast).
Coop?
Hated those head lights on the 720, and I still hate them on the 750.
The 720s looks a lot better imo. I can't pinpoint what it is but i'm not really crazy about this one..
It's green
It’s the coloured front bumber where’s the 720 was black or mesh. I like this now after seeing it a few times!
I remember thinking the 720s looked odd 6 years ago at launch! I now think it’s the most beautiful timeless design ever created!
@@GazRsExtremeBrickMachines I loved the 720s instantly. i think this one misses that low and sleek "dangerous" look, it's all too.. round, the headlight holes etc.
Looks less carbon the who front looks cheaper. The whole thing looks like a plastic 720S
a big would-be market for this car perhaps: the sort of people who can use a car like this to full effect aren't typically the sort of people who can afford it. Poseurs, rich kids and bankers will be the ones buying it.
750 is a fresh new McLaren while 765 might be better but even one with 5000 miles might be racing miles racing on some rough backroads and bumps. It's always safer to buy a brand new 0 mile car and the newer it is off the press the less natural decay so it's good in the sense ur getting it all fresh
You wouldn't even notice 212mph to 206mph ratio benefit
I don't like Mclaren 750s but i see Steve so i click
Brit loving Brit brand.....not a single negative feedback......riiiiight
You came here to hear how 'bad' the 750s is? You sad little boy.
Could it be it’s a fantastic car to drive? Could it possibly be that? And they sell very well in the states and receive great reviews too. As they have by French car mags etc.
The only question is, have the reliability issues been fixed? 🤔
Never with mclaren . Like all British manufactured cars it’s born unreliable & poorly made ….
@@davida7713Yes, those Bentleys and Rolls-Royces have a terrible reputation....
@@paulshepherd8295 Both companies are actually owned by the Germans .. bmw has rolls & vag has Bentley … work the rest out for yourself
@@davida7713 I'm well aware of that. It just proves that your sweeping statement about British manufactured cars is nonsense. What about the Nissan plant, or Mini. And then there's Aston Martin, Morgan, Ariel and many others. All rubbish?
@@paulshepherd8295 if your aware of that why did u comment 😆😆 as for Aston etc there hardly superbly manufactured cars .for example Aston takes the old Mercedes entertainment system from there last generation cars …
Is there a dog in the cabin? 🐶
meanwhile my Rotax fractures ribs during cornering
Wait. This car is even lighter than the 765LT?!
So here I'm thinking those drift videos were Rory's expert driving only to watch this channel and discover they are stock videos from McLaren. I'm starting to appreciate UA-camr videos because journalist videos are starting to look more like advertisements for manufacturers.
Yeah the arty drift shots were stock footage, it had to be being that well done! But at 2:42 I think that’s Steve driving :) he could drift this thing round here in his sleep… other reviewers in their dreams!
So the publications can use the footage if they so wish. And so their cars don’t end up in the barriers and have tyres left when they come back in the pits from those UA-camrs . . .
@@danielbrown4579 Yes, I understand that. My point though is that I thought it was the journalist driving the car. I thought he was my hero ... until he was not.
@@dash-ryan Harris, bovingdon, meaden, catchpole etc for me.
MCLAREN UFO !
See i cant stand them id rather have the 991 gt2. This car will be in the shop 90% of its like unlike the GT2 you could daily
Made it lighter by removing the retractable gauge cluster.
This weighs 500lbs less than a 296.
A Ferrari 296 would leave this in the dust.
It won’t though! I’d guess the straight line speed will be near identical. 750s will probably pull midrange as the 765lt does and that has more drag than this!
Was there any factual thought processing going on when you wrote this comment? Or was it born out of pure fanboyism?
I would still have the Ferrari in a heart beat
excellent work by sutcliffe but the 750s looks generations apart from the ferrari...its going to be brutally unreliable, typical of mclaren..those control from the artura may function great but they look terrible
SS is da man! TBH, not a fan of the McLaren design/style. Front end and rear lights always look like an insect. The dash looks like a kit car? Questionable reliability, poor resale values, & too few dealers are also a big negative for me… performance is immense- no argument there. At the end of the day, I chose an Italian brand over McLaren. YMMV/Cheers/B
I don't like the rims neither the design and they're not wide enough needs rims and a gintani exhaust
I realy hate the front lights - they ruined the McLaren look 🔥🦇🔥
As always with McLaren the issue is dealers service and poor reliability
Yawn, so how many have you owned ? just a guess, NON ?
Steve is back again with another paid review. If you want to know the truth about a new car look elsewhere but if you want the truth about an old car after the paid promotion expires Steve is your man.
first
Just a tweaked 720S.
How much is Steve getting paid by Mclaren to give this review🧐🧐🧐. It’ll break just like every other Mclaren before it 😂
Interestingly here in the UK Porsche had the most warranty claims per vehicle last year! Absolutely crushing McLaren…. McLarens were not nearly as bad! They had a lot of issues in 2020 due to over production and many just sitting for months unsold which is never good for a car. Macs suffer from mostly annoying little issues but rarely spectacular engine failures like Porsche have been famed for. Sure the odd UA-camr has had issues after chipping a Mac to 900 odd hp and thinking it will still be as reliable…
Not a stunner in looks.
I just can’t get past that ugly front headlight area. It’s awful.
The massive elephant in the room that every single journalist ignores is:
terrible build quality
terrible reliability
terrible customer service
all this equals terrible residuals.
Nobody is buying these cars.
Only english believes it’s supercar. Rest of the world knows it’s good but not a super car level.
Seriously? I’ve never ever heard anyone claim a McLaren of any sort is not a supercar. This is a first…
@@GazRsExtremeBrickMachines maybe u have never driven McLaren but definitely u have never driven real super cars from Ferrari, Pagani, Koenigsegg etc McLaren is very good car like Porsche 911 or Mercedes GT or Aston Martin but is no super car by any means.
@pevvex4452 You're getting your definition wrong. Things have moved on, and the likes of Pagani, Bugatti, Koenigsegg and certain niche models from Ferrari, Lambo, etc. are now classed as hypercars.
The 'standard' models from McLaren, Ferrari, Lambo, etc. are classed as supercars, and that's the category the 750S falls into.
This is from the JD Power website:
'In terms of performance, hypercars have higher top speeds than supercars. In general, supercars can reach 0 to 60 miles per hour in less than 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 200 miles per hour, while hypercars can go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in less than 3.0 seconds and a top speed of over 200 to 300 miles per hour.
In terms of exclusivity, both supercars and hypercars are limited in production. However, hypercars are rarer than supercars. The production units of hypercars can range from as low as 1 to 1,000, while that of supercars exceeds 1,000 units.'
It goes on to talk about purchase price, insurance, etc., but hopefully you get the point.
@@paulshepherd8295 that’s the whole point McLaren is not.
@@pevvex4452 I've just explained to you that the 750S IS a supercar. What part of that didn't you understand?
Supercars keep getting uglier and uglier
Sounds excellent so its a real pity McLaren HAS SUCH A BAD RECORD FOR BEING UNRELIABLE and bad dealer relationship.
