- Hi, so this is the 6th lackland classic event, held around the same time once a year this event has grown into a full 2 day event filled the best of best of rc cars. This event helps raise much needed money for the northwest air ambulance, through entry and the amazing raffle. Its an action packed event with a great atmosphere and amazing buggys on a grass track, just like it was back in the day.

Looks like a fun and well-attended event, and a very worthy cause to raise funds for, well done 👍🏻

Lots of wonderful looking cars and trucks out there and it looked like loads of fun! Well, minus the rain and muddy cars that will all need a good cleaning! I saw lots and lots of smiles so seemed like a good weekend!
Yeah, rain or shine these big vintage meets are just so much fun. And the fact that these events draw in over a 100 racers. Just proves vintage is growing
Fantastic weekend re-cap Richard, lots of lovely vintage goodness to look at and see going round the track awesome work as always , you even caught sone the final I was in with Dan, Matty, Neil, James Etc. Superb video my Buddy, thank you for making the time to shoot so much footage, I hardly found time to do anything other than Tea breaks on my last outing to a track, Great effort on the painting by everyone, something special about the shape of the shells back then, especially love the Bigwig painted AYK @ 25 secs in, nice to see people running 870/YZ10's also, looked like an amazing event, awesome stuff, as always cheers and best wishes. Yeah, lots of awsome cars out and getting dirty in the mud 😎 cant beat a good old fassioned grass track. Revival at the end of the month, so need to get the 2 cars im running ready 👍

Allways have atleast one heat of vintage at are club. But the classic had grown massive. And all for a good cause 👍
Superb video showing absolute classic RC cars. I've just purchased a very sorry looking believe it or not vintage Meccano showman traction engine which has had Futaba RC system to it. No transmitter to test it. I live in Birmingham. Any ideas where i could get it serviced and checked? Keep them fantastic videos a coming.

Not that newer ones dont look cool… but they do all look the same…. I wish i was racing during the times when these manufacturers were vastly different from eachother and trying new stuff…
Yeah, every car was different back then. You can line all the modern cars up and not see whats what. And the cab forward bodies 🤮
All those cars look really cool. I believe the stupid way modern club racer cars is is a disservice to the hobby and an actual barrier to entry, as they're all just so ugly.
Yeah, modern cars are very much the same, butt ugly. I love the vintage scene. Its about having fun, modern racing seems to be about winning at all costs, like new tyres every race 😮 ive got tyres that are 3-4 years old 😂
