Schumacher Topcat, steering mod.
A quick look at a steering mod for the schumacher Topcat, this removes the wire and uses ball stud and cups to help give you better steering.

Well 2025 is not far away, and i made a vow to not run a Schumacher in 2024. So far so good, but. Its time to start looking at what we are going to run 2025 and it back to team Schumacher and running a few new arrivals.
Robin Hood Classic 2024, Reedy format style race.

the reedy format style is basically, every race, is a race. so its putting yourself into the mic with different drivers for each race. held at the awsome Robin Hood Raceway. this is the second time this event has been held this year. carpet track with control tyres, Schumacher honeycombed. even with these tyres there is still a good amount of grip but the changing track conditions kept everyone...

Yes its finally happening, the mini mancave is taking shape, here’s a quick look at the schumacher collection as it stands. I can only guess it will grow over the coming years. A cat and cat XL would be great additions to my little collection. But im happy and greatfull to have what i have.

Southport Radio Car Club, Vintage Festival 2024

Southports 1st vintage event was held to help raise some money for charity, as its there 1st event there was also modern 2wd running to help bolster numbers, hopefully the event will return and the number of vintage cars will increase so the moderns can stay at home. sorry the poor video quality but I had my camera on the wrong settings. I aint no pro, and it shows haha

1st time on the track with the rc10 and she didnt dissapoint, great car to drive, handles and goes well. With more time spent on set it can only get better.

That’s a nice little mod Richard , looks a lot more solid and durable. Shame you can’t use the brass bulkhead unless your feeling brave ;)
@@andyrobinsonrc2480 cheers, yeah see how it goes tomo hopefully, i would chop the brass bulkhead but your not allowed brass parts at revival. Just 50g of stick on weight 😁

Poorboys rc said that an hpi firebolt 15t will fit. I measured it compared to the stock silvercan, and it's dead on dimensions.

@@lo2713 I recently got back into the hobby. I'm getting the ones that I never could afford back in the 80's. My only modern one is a BBX. That is just such a cool buggy.
@@PsychoticBovine yeah the bbx is a great buggy, the price was a bit steep imho. But it was great to see a new chassis and it works well on bumpy ground 😎

What are the links your using for the front suspension, the triangle one that the shocks are connected too? I’ve seen those on some Top Cars and would like to change my front suspension to something like you have.
@@edwinumayam2722 there 3d printed ones, i wanted the alloy ones but been out of stock for ages and never seen a set come up for sale, im waiting to hear back to see if i can get another set as spares, but have sern ones made from carbon aswell.

@@Manic-172 preds beat the bosscat, ive only seen one of those chassis up for sale in the last few years. There very hard to find. Fingers crossed you find one 🤞
If you can get the chassis plate shaped to follow the curves of the plastic side rails,maybe an undertray that clam shells to the body would save you getting chassis scrapes ?Great buggy :)
@@Finder1175 not to botherd about the chassis really, its a fibrelyte part i can buy anytime. But am looking into something later this year to do with the chassis 😁
I am sure you will have them in tip-top shape by the time the races get here. Good idea to start now as time seems to fly by these days!! LOL!!

I only have one Schumacher kit. I bought the Mission Ft kit. It would appear this kit is now gone. Not sure why? I wanted mine to be in box art. If you have seen the box art you know why I wanted to do this. The body that I got was slightly different. I did contact Schumacher and they did confirm that the body had changed. They do not make the body. Guess what? They sent me the screws that I would need to make it fit correctly. They even sent them to me for free. Think about that. I did even send pictures of the body that I was going to use and they said it looks great. I live in the USA and they still took care of me. Great company. Thoughts?
@@alfredyost7972 i had the FT but are club ended up not running fwd when we went indoors, i was the only one wanting to run one 😂 yup there customer service is second to none.

Lots of great buggies! I personally know fairly little about the Schumacher kits other than what i have learned in the last year or so. They were not around here when i was growing up and really still are not except for a few select areas of the country. it is cool seeing all the different models and how the differ but also carry bit over from the others as they evolved!

@@lo2713 I understand. Mine has not even been used yet. Have kept on tinkering with it way too much and for too long (MSP RC arms, rear sway bar, Kevin Fenrich uprights, LR Prod Carbone parts...).

That’s quite the collection of Schumacher buggies 👍some cool cars there for sure, great that they get restored and used too for the most part. Is your collection primarily Schumacher then or have you got another fleet of stuff somewhere else with all the other brands in? With regards to the Bosscat, is there much difference between them and the Procat? Debating whether to pick up a Procat while they are still available or wait and see if the Bosscat comes out later this year. Have fun racing next weekend, I’m hoping to be at the Popalong gp and give my Ultima JJ a shakedown if I can get the body painted in time, might get the Cougar 2 Works out and give it a bit of track time too if it’s not too busy I’m fairly new to the racing side of the hobby so don’t want to break it in a silly crash as parts (as I’m sure you are aware) can be a bit costly.
@@TheAndyMaan yup, most have to earn a spot on the shelf, but some just cant be raced, either parts impossible to find or mega expensive haha
That thing is a missile!! I have two older ones. One is set up with a 2S 10.5 and is the smoothest RC I have ever driven. The other has an 8.5 3S and is a bit of a handful! 😜😂 Probably needs tuning. Enjoy that monster!
