So Jeffery for those of us that have just become "great friends " with our instant pot, making the jump to the new "improved" pot poses some questions. First, I don't want to invest in another kitchen device, I'm happy with my instant pot and use if frequently thx to all your wonderful recipes. Second, I'm concerned that your new recipes will deal with the new pot, leaving your devoted fans in the dark. All I ask is that you if you start posting new instant pot recipes you keep in mind all of us that you schooled on the original and include us . Always, thank you for making cooking in my house fun, affordable and full of variety.
This ^^^^^. I'm going to pass on this recipe, because the curdled, dry sauce does nothing for me. But seriously, Jeffrey -- I know this is how you make a living, and you get a cut of the action from Amazon and quite possibly from Instant Pot. And I don't begrudge you a penny, even if only for your chicken and dumplings, which are my favorite dish EVER. But honestly, I really have no need for an air fryer, and I'm with others that I want my scallopped potatoes to be oven-to-table ready. So please don't leave us Instant Pot Duo and Ultra (the latter is me) behind. Thanks.
Maybe take a look at the mealthy crisp lid, im totally with you in not wanting to buy another pot but i do have interest in the lid since it does the same thing but I dont need to find as much room for it.
pspecs I’m with you. I just started cooking thanks to Pressure Luck and the fantastic way he explains everything in detail. I won’t be buying this insta-fryer. Hopefully he will keep putting out recipes from the regular Instant Pots.
Hey everyone, if you want onions, add onions, no big deal. I personally would double the sauce because I like saucy scalloped potatoes and these ones look kinds dry. Thanks for a great recipe.
@@cathietonkin5577 AND @Linda Harrison -- I'm with you guys; MORE sauce. Additionally, I think, I'll make it a "pot-within-a-pot" and place on a trivit (w/ water) in the inside pot; easier for guests to plate. Perhaps, a bit of ham pieces and a bit of cheese topping to crisp up. Overall, seems really super and tasty. Y'all Be Safe!
Great video. I did add onions and bacon, I'm sure it would be fine without. I didn't need extra sauce. Didn't have/use lemon juice. I made this twice this week. The other day I had one with potatoes and tonight was with cauliflower instead of potatoes. Was same time for cauliflower. Thanks for the recipe.
Just found your channel and enjoy watching you cook using the insta pot . I preordered your cookbook and can’t wait to try all your recipes . I love the Golden Girls too.
wished you would have done this video 6 nights ago when I made them. We didnt like the recipe we used from someone else. NOW, I'll try them again, your recipe! :) Thanks Jeffery ~
thank you Jeff!! we have been following you for the last year, so many easy to follow instructions, wonderful recipes! all loaded with flavor!! 4 days ago we picked up the duo crisp and look forward to eating what you bring to our family w this amazing cooker! thank you for all the time you put into these for all of us to enjoy!!!
I and my husband’s favorite recipe! I put soy sauce instead of lemon juice ;) it works well too😊 We added bacon to it tonight, it was delicious ! Thank you for all wonderful recipes Jeffery !!
Very nice. I really liked how you demonstrate step by step. Easy to follow. I do wonder about the lemon juice. Never tried adding lemon juice. But I have made with sliced onions. Thank you again for a great teaching video. AND CONGRATS on being featured on New York Times with your turkey Instapot dinner. Simply outstanding. jmo
I just found your channel and your Facebook too!!!!!!you are AMAZING!!!!your food all looks great and I can now make better sense and use of my Instant Pot!!!!keep up the great work!!!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
This is alnost like I do but eith sliced onion and I dont add the extra cheese. Just the parmesean. But have to try your way. Your just so cute. Never lose your enthusiasm!😋😋😋😊
Okay - we get it people. He doesn't make it the way you think it should be made. But it's HIS recipe. He can put whatever he wants in it and make it whatever way he wants. So don't fret over it.
These look absolutely delicious! I would do them exactly the same way. For those of you that don't want to invest in a new machine, you can simply remove the potatoes at the end, move them to a new dish, and bake them. Or you can invest in the new crisping lid that fits your current machine.
i don;t have this specific Instant Pot but I will make the potatoes themselves in a cake pan in my IP Duo SV and then transfer it to my air fryer oven and do the remaining part of the recipe (the creamy mixture and then the cheese). I will try this in a week or two as I already have plans for Thanksgiving’s potato dish.
Great recipe and video. Any idea if my yedi presser cooker might have just the lid for sell ;) I'm thinking this might work for replacing the oven in my future custom RV I'm working on. Any idea on how much more energy the air fryer use's ?
Before I used an instant pot - I had no idea what I was missing. I’m definitely curious about this latest IP edition. Both my IP and my airfryer are on a regular rotation in my house. Once again - you really make me miss NY ❤️
Jeffery, You have taught me so much and you're just cute as a button and so pleasant to watch. I sure hope you keep this up for a long, long time! Thank you!! Melissa Wingate
it came out good I didn't think the sauce nd cheese would've went to the bottom but it did and then you added the cheddar on top i would have used the airfry and added some sliced onion along whie adding the potatos
Have you tried the Instant Pot Omni air fryer? I would LOVE to see what you could do with this gadget. I just got one for my birthday in Dec. So far I love it. But I wouldn't mind hearing some recipes from you. I don't know why, but I suddenly want to add some diced onion and mushrooms to this recipes! I need to get some sleep. I'm getting hungry watching your videos.
These look super good. Will definitely have to try in my new IP Duo crisp. :) Quick question, can recipes for the Foodi be interchangeable with the Duo crisp?
I don’t have an oven and have a very restricted kitchen area, so I guess I “need” this new IP. I don’t have room for both so I would have to sell or gift my 6-quart Duo. I sure do love scalloped potatoes and haven’t had them in many years.
MajiMarji The Mealthy company makes a broiler/ crisper top that works on any 6 or 8 quart electric pressure cooker. Amazon carries them. I do not work for or represent Mealthy, although I love my electric pressure cooker. 🤓
LOL - I've watched many of your videos and just now got the "pressureluck" joke! [forehead slap] I'd been wondering about that odd name.... Love your style & recipes! (Especially the snap-your-fingers parts that let us skip the boring work...if only MY pot came with that feature!)
I want to know that also. It is an 8qt pot, so more food can look like less. I'm going going to double this recipe, because it could be reheated in the microwave. Or I guess I could just put it back in this pot to reheat if I want it crispy.
And what, no Boursin Cheese? You used the same outro music as Chef John of Food Wishes. I'm buying that same insta-pot next month for my own Christmas present!
I have the Mealthy Crisp Lid - love it. I have three Instant Pots and use the crisp lid on my two 6 qt pots. I’ll be cooking my Butterball turkey breast for Thanksgiving and I’ll crisp it up with my crisp lid.🦃😋Happy Thanksgiving all.
Jeff Ralston - I have heard about it but I trust the Instant Pot brand and would rather have a crisper kid that is made for the IP and interfaces with it seamlessly.
Jeffrey - how can I make this work in the 6 or 8 qt Duo? I was told that the Mealthy CrispLid for Pressure Cooker would work with my IP's but, how do I set it up without the ability to set the temperature or set either of them to bake? Thank you for the great recipes. This one looks perfect.
I think all these lids work about the same. Instant Pot company has just come out with these separate lids for the 6qt pots, you'd have to research a little to see how and which pots they work with. I think the other companies lids are for 6qt. I have this 8qt Duo Crisp because I wanted a larger pot, but I've seen pictures of a lid that you can see into while it's cooking. I like that option.
You can make this recipe with your pot. To get the browned top you would do what we've always had to do, transfer the food to another dish, place it under the oven broiler. This new 8qt pot with crisper lid just takes that last step out, saves the transferring food, and using an oven. Oh, and now Instant Pot company has come out with a separate lid like this, for our 6qt pots, if we really want one.
I LOVE my IP, but sometimes making something the conventional way is SO MUCH easier than all the step you need to do to use the latest and greatest kitchen gadget. One pot au gratin potatoes in the oven... delicious and one casserole dish.
Love this recipe. I've doubled the sauce and added thin sliced onions and some loose sausage --- Perfect breakfast casserole!
So Jeffery for those of us that have just become "great friends " with our instant pot, making the jump to the new "improved" pot poses some questions. pspecs I already own two Instant Pots, because I got such a great deal on the mini. I picked up a Mealthy Crisp Lid for $50.
pspecs totally agree.
pspecs I’m with you.
Linda Harrison I’m with you! The more sauce the better!
@@cathietonkin5577 AND @Linda Harrison -- I'm with you guys; MORE sauce. Y'all Be Safe!
I have fond memories of my mothers scalloped potatoes and ham.
I haven't had it in over 30 years, but you've inspired me to give it a go.
Always made alot of my recipes in a crockpot. You talked me in to buying an instant pot with your videos. Thank you sir!
Thanks for sharing! Planning to try this, but don't trust the lemon juice 😆
Too late for me to make tonight, but tomorrow... Thanks for sharing.
Everything with potatoes and cheese is delicious. Thank you Jeffrey!
Made this recipe tonight and they look soo delicious !! The family loved it thank you
Just found your channel and enjoy watching you cook using the insta pot . I preordered your cookbook and can’t wait to try all your recipes . I love the Golden Girls too.
These look great. Thanks for a recipe with the new Instant Pot! I got one a week ago and definitely need more combination recipes like this one.
wished you would have done this video 6 nights ago when I made them. We didnt like the recipe we used from someone else. NOW, I'll try them again, your recipe! :) Thanks Jeffery ~
Oh my!! These look heavenly!
thank you Jeff!! we have been following you for the last year, so many easy to follow instructions, wonderful recipes! all loaded with flavor!! 4 days ago we picked up the duo crisp and look forward to eating what you bring to our family w this amazing cooker! thank you for all the time you put into these for all of us to enjoy!!!
Old fashion way in the oven is best. Also its oven to table much more presentable too. But i love my instant pot.
I and my husband’s favorite recipe! I put soy sauce instead of lemon juice ;) it works well too😊 We added bacon to it tonight, it was delicious ! Thank you for all wonderful recipes Jeffery !!

I love the golden girls reference there. I love scalloped potatoes so much, I might have to get the duo crisp instant pot.
Like90 I got the mealthy CrispLid ....makes your regular IP.into a duo crisp
Or just buy the new lid just put out by the Instant Pot company for the 6qt pots.
I luv your videos! thanx...your 'accent' takes me back to my days in Manhatten (60s-70s)...thanx for the memories! :)
I knew you'd find a way to make scalloped potatoes. Way To Go.
Horrible! Pototos were mush. I tried to stir the cream in and potatos fell apart. No flavor! I'll make them in the oven from now on.
A must try!!! Looks delicious! Thanks for sharing!
Love this recipe. I feel like you are a good friend I have never met! Rochester, NY native here. Thanks for the haul, amigo. #instantfan #onelove
Ok now I wait for Prime Day! Nice!

I can’t wait for you to taste. You make it a perfectly awesome ending.
A childhood favorite
Please more videos of recipes using the pressure cooker and air fryer lid! Like a chicken or chicken pieces, hamburgers? Anything and everything!
Jeff.....I got the crisp lid as I already had an nice IP.....it’s not as heavy and there is just us 2 ....perfect ! Making this soon !
You absolutely need onions to finish and expand the flavour experience. Looks delicious though. I'm an old chef used to doing it the old way.
Looks so good! Why didn't you do this yesterday?! You're creation looks way better than mine
looks delicious and I put this duo air thing on our wedding registry lol Thanks for introducing me to yet another gadget! LOL
Great recipe and video. Any idea if my yedi presser cooker might have just the lid for sell ;) I'm thinking this might work for replacing the oven in my future custom RV I'm working on. Any idea on how much more energy the air fryer use's ?
I love that you love the golden girls!😍😍😍
Those look delicious.

I need this instant pot!!! Amazing!
This is the first time I've seen the duo crisp! So do you like it? I tell you what... you could sell ice to an eskimo!!! Love your videos😊😊
Delicious 😋 👍🏻thank you very much for all your recipes.
What are your thoughts on the mealthy crisplid?
Loving these videos man!
Pressure Luck is defiantly cute!
Jeffery,
You have taught me so much and you're just cute as a button and so pleasant to watch. I sure hope you keep this up for a long, long time! Thank you!!
Melissa Wingate
This looks good!
I think these should actually be Potatoes au Gratin, since they have so much cheese.
Exactly!!
Yes indeed. Scalloped potatoes don't have cheese, at least in my house.
Same thoughts here.
Potato potahto
it came out good I didn't think the sauce nd cheese would've went to the bottom but it did and then you added the cheddar on top i would have used the airfry and added some sliced onion along whie adding the potatos
I LOVE this guy!

Probably, we all need more recipes.
great recipe! I have Instant Pot Duo 7-in-1 (there is no boil or bake), any recommendations how to cook it in mine? Thanks
Scalloped, augratin, mashed, baked I love them all. Tfs
I love golden girls! This looks amazing.

Hi Jeffery, Yum, Love the potatoes! Thanks!
Are you not using the older models ? So I guess this goes into oven ?looks as yummy as usual .
LOL - I've watched many of your videos and just now got the "pressureluck" joke! [forehead slap] I'd been wondering about that odd name.... Love your style & recipes! (Especially the snap-your-fingers parts that let us skip the boring work...if only MY pot came with that feature!)
Do I see a new cook book in your future using the air crisper? I could use it. No oven so Think this is great❗
Luv ur vids and food
Sweetheart looks great but some onion would have been perfect.
karon konkle yes and something green too
Maybe some finely chopped scallions
Sounds yummy. Maybe some ham and bacon too
Needs bacon in there somewhere, maybe at the same time as the sauce. Thanks for the video.
I could eat the whole plate.
how many does this serve? This looks like for 2 or 3. Can this be doubled and double the time?
I want to know that also. It is an 8qt pot, so more food can look like less. I'm going going to double this recipe, because it could be reheated in the microwave. Or I guess I could just put it back in this pot to reheat if I want it crispy.
Just made this , oh my it was good ,, thank yu ,, I don’t have an insta pot , I have a ninja foodie,, but it’s just the same as an insta pot,,
come to think of it, someone should do scalloped potatoes with scallops. I for one think that could be great
An egg?! Wow❤️
Yummy
And what, no Boursin Cheese? You used the same outro music as Chef John of Food Wishes. I'm buying that same insta-pot next month for my own Christmas present!
Have you heard of the Mealthy CrispLid? I'm thinking about getting that as an accessory for my IP instead of getting a new appliance.
@@lynnsteiner1580 That sounds great. I'm going to wait a while to see if a good Black Friday deal pops up.
Jeff Ralston - I have heard about it but I trust the Instant Pot brand and would rather have a crisper kid that is made for the IP and interfaces with it seamlessly.
Jeff Ralston - I meant to type that I have heard about the Mealthy lid. But I don’t have it.
Jeff Ralston - And I also meant to say a crisper LID and not a crisper KID! 😀
I’ve attempted this recipe twice now but can’t get the potatoes to come to pressure. They burnt both times! Any suggestions?
Great video, well done.

WHAT??? WHEN DID THIS COME OUT??? Gotta get it!!!
Stopppppp! I’m hungry.
Hi. What kind of food would go good w/ this? Thanks
Sausage, bacon, pork roast or chops, meatloaf, fish, tossed green salads, broccoli, green beans, asparagus.
add some sliced kielbasa sausage over it before broiling it again... man you will be in heaven.
Jeff, there is no such thing as too much cheese!!!!😁😁😁😘
My instant pot doesn't have a specific pressure cooker button. It has a manual button, saute, rice, cake, eggs, meat... how long for manual?
What if u have the ultra, would u have to put them in the oven when u air fry them?
Awesome recipe, but i don't have the crisp ip and that's ok. Oooh I didn't see you post on Instagram this yet. No big deal 👍
I use my Ninja Foodi
It’s never failed me once.
same directions as this?
Great music.
Love the recipe I love that new pot more where can i get one?
Please tell me that you know the answer to your question. Or have you been locked in a basement and this is really an attempt to get help?
I have the 6 quart Instant Pot Duo, will this recipe work with my instant pot or is this recipe only for this fancy smanshy instant pot he has?
You can make this recipe with your pot. To get the browned top you would do what we've always had to do, transfer the food to another dish, place it under the oven broiler. This new 8qt pot with crisper lid just takes that last step out, saves the transferring food, and using an oven. Oh, and now Instant Pot company has come out with a separate lid like this, for our 6qt pots, if we really want one.
Could just purchase the crisper lid
Is it baked on that pan? And a few mild green Ortega chilies
I would have added a small amount of raw thinly sliced onions mixed with your potatoes before you put them to cook.....
Good try 👍
I like the recipe but I cannot afford to purchase a new Instant Pot every time a new model is released. 😒 Great video, though. 👍
If you are interested in the function of the lid, Instant Pot company has just come out with a separate lid for the 6qt pots.
Won't the lemon curdle the cream?
Skip to 1:30 to avoid the story and get to the point
It’s time to redo the Chicken Pot Pie recipe now that you have the Duo Crisp! 🤩
I LOVE my IP, but sometimes making something the conventional way is SO MUCH easier than all the step you need to do to use the latest and greatest kitchen gadget. One pot au gratin potatoes in the oven... delicious and one casserole dish.
I hate the snap but great videos
Wow only half cup of liquid. Is that enough? What size is this pot?
Cheese and no Norwich trotting thru? Only thing missing! :)
Jeff, what do you think of the ninja foodie?
