- HOW TO MAKE MINCED BEEF WITH DUMPLINGS
INGREDIENTS:
1 tsp vegetable oil
1 onion, finely chopped
1 celery stick, finely chopped
1 carrot, finely chopped
500g beef mince
2 garlic cloves, finely grated or crushed or use garlic paste
1 tbsp tomato purée
125ml red wine
400g can chopped tomatoes
500ml beef stock we used 2 Knorr Stock cubes
½ tsp Worcestershire sauce
2 bay leaves
2 tsp dried mixed herbs
For the dumplings
225g self-raising flour
100g suet
small handful of parsley, finely chopped
