BRAY'S AND K'S PASTY REVIEW. Big Oggie World Taste Test
I'm in the USA and my mother made runbledethumps quite often. It's still one of my favorites.
Oh yeah 😋
I never find videos with two people talking quite work.
"Leftover cheese." I don't understand those words.🤔
It’s always nice to add a comfort food to a vegetarian diet.
I used to get the most delicious liver & onions at an Irish restaurant in Alexandria, Virginia, USA. It was super tender! I think the recipe was close to this, except they may have used beef liver. I'm going to try this out! P.S. Here we pronounce Worcestershire sauce as "What's this here" sauce. 🙂
How many does this serve please? 😊
Love these, I don’t like orange chocolate, so these ones are perfect for me 😊
I prefer to make with WoodPrix plans.
I like to incorporate approximately 1 pound of diced ham to these same ingredients. Super delicious!!
When you Brits say “tea” do you mean supper?
they look lovely
It's not whey it's butter milk. Whey is the left over water when you curdle milk.
This was going well until the Worcester sauce and the butter, (Neither needed) Also as in other UA-cam ............ NO EGGS!
got some corned beef on offer as getting pricey now been having toasties made couple of pies now sitting waiting to taste my hash
Just love pineapple on a Pizza.
Pop it under the grill for a few minutes. Gorgeous.
I never thought of that x ooo let’s try that next time x
Yes, I would love Pizza for breakfast, just without the pineapple 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Cold pizza is a whole different animal to hot pizza but it’s rather lovely in its own way x
That looks so delicious! Thank you!
It was so so good x
Yummy!
It’s a great recipe and something we hadn’t tried before but super filling and tasty too.
I love pineapple on pizza, it pairs really well with jalapeno and bbq sauce.
Exactly x it’s that mix of sharp sweet and spicy x
In my opinion I quite like pineapple on a pizza or a Hawaii pizza(ham&pineapple) Comment on this comment what pizza you like and if you want to like this comment I appreciate it❤❤❤
I have to say that my wife loves pineapple on here pizza and I like it with certain combinations so something with lots of meat or spicy stuff
In the good old days of the 50's and 60's when Britain had real food the chips and fish at the local chip shop were always cooked in beef tallow which is why they were always so good compared to the limp imitations we get now from cooking in inflammatory oil seed oils.
Plenty of Gin the wine rack! Great receipe folks!
Once i looked at how you Brits do potatoes at christmas, i never looked back. And now, i can make them ahead as well! Cheers and Merry Christmas from the Netherlands!
Thank you my friend. We have just finished making ours for tomorrow x
i love chocolate oranges
The pro tip from watching. "Keep you lard sugar mix in a bowl which will xfer heat from a hot water bath." Lard is just different than butter :-).
How many grams of beef dripping ?❤❤
How long to heat in the oven if making Xmas Eve and not freezing ❤ xx
Hi john just made a new cocktail. 50 ml of gin, 15ml of raspberry leqeur, 15ml of tripple sec, 15ml of blue curaco 10ml of lime and lemon juice mix. Shake in the cocktail shaker with 3 ice and them serve with the ice into a martini glass. I call it the purple people eater. Let me know if you give it a go. Merry Christmas to you both. Love every vid that you both do
Where have you been Big O? I am missing your videos. Hopefully you are well
Hi David I am mainly on TikTok at the moment. Difficult to make long form videos with the bad weather and costs of travel etc.
They sound congested
Do a video even a short on follow up with ones you've taken out of freezer and recooked. To bring full circle
We may do that but to be honest they are the best and we have had so many people recommend them after doing them our way x
@@BIGOGGIEWORLD I've got beef dripping for deep fryer...thinking of blanching them in that putting in fridge then whack on semolina and Roast in beef dripping in oven....the best I've ever made was using tefal rotary air fryer. Coat cooked spuds in fat in a bowl then into fryer. Created a delicate but crunchy and uniform outer unlike anything I've done before. Tried doing it again and it didn't work 😂
Got to be original for me!
Loveleeeee!!!
Informative video good content but should have 2 mins max a short would have been better….
This is UA-cam not TikTok
No, very grateful for the full video. I'm prepping these tomorrow for Christmas Day. Thanks. V clear instructions.
you two should have your own TV show :) X
Ha ha Tony, you should watch us on our live chats on TikTok. Find us on Big Oggie golf on there x
really good thank you
yuk @4minutes she wiped her snotty nose and carried on cooking WITHOUT washing her snotty hand
Love your accent. Tiz a proper job and I like the way you cooked the prawns too My Andscomes 😀
Thankyou for this. I’m cooking for 14 on Christmas Day and was looking for this exact type of recipe pre cooking method. I’ll be making them ( 56 roasties, 4 each ) as per your method tomorrow. Do you ever add anything to the roasting tin whilst re heating ? Rosemary, Garlic cloves etc ? I’m sure they’ll be delicious.
Added anything to make them a little more special would be lovely I am sure.
Lovely cake 2nd time making x
Thank you Bev, it’s good isn’t it x
Good job..i prefer to add some Pepper& Celery & a little Gaelic with the Onions ( &maybe a little Salsa just for a little heat contrast) and then put a little of the as a base & on top..But urs looked nice👍
Thank you for commenting my friend. Yes there are lots of ways to make it more to your own personal taste but this is a good base to start from.
Ooooo, that looks lush ♥️
This was a good one my friend x
Hi,having this tonight with boiled ham...is that a lovely Somerset accent I hear you have?
Ha ha my wife and I come from Bristol but I lived in Glastonbury and we now live in Cornwall
@@BIGOGGIEWORLD thanks for replying! do you live near St Austell?
@@chaddamp2894we actually live near Lands End but I know St Austell very well. (I am replying via my golf channel)
Thank you so much! X
You're so welcome!
As a Lancashire Lass born in Preston, this is my absolute favourite savoury pie. Although I’m not catholic, I’ve eaten this pie since I was little. Our local pie shop closed recently, so I’ll have to have a go with your recipe. This looks delicious 😋 Thank you ❤
Honestly it’s a great recipe so I hope that you enjoy it x
I’m going to try it this year in Australia! Not really a suet - accessible country here so should be easier to make than a traditional pudding! Thanks for sharing and giving us a lighter alternative version 🙏🏻(Nov 2024)……
Hi there and thank you for watching. It’s a lovely alternative and something our whole family enjoyed.
Looks like a great salute to autumn and apples 🍎
It was!
Add the bacon fat to be slim and healthy - fat does not make you fat - also it stops Alzheimers as our brains are naturally 90% fat - we have been told incorrectly for the last 50 years. We should eat the butter and the animal fats.
I agree, fat can be good for you x
Why did she put it in the slow cooker after she had everything cooked? 😂
It wasn’t cooked it was literally just coloured and warmed through to give it a kick start in the slow cooker and give it more colour. Slow cookers don’t brown anything x
